i'm introvert and extrovert. depending on the situation or circumstance , i change between them.

What a lot of people don't understand about this sudden introvert "craze," is that before people knew what an introvert was, they just thought they had a problem. Society favors extroversion in many ways. Now that introversion is more widely known, introverts can relax and not think they are strange. It's refreshing to know that you're not alone.

Introverts do like to be social but are wary of large crowds because introverts are very sensitive to environmental stimulation, it saps their energy reserves and before long they must recharge by being alone with their thoughts or they will feel tired and unhappy. This need to retreat into solitude is not a conscious decision, they were born this way. Extraverts are quite the opposite, if they are alone for too long (a short period of time by introvert standards) they may become unhappy as well, extraverts are less sensitive to environmental stimulation and crave more of it because it gives them energy. Introverts actually love being social just as much as extraverts do but introverts prefer more intimate social activities like going to the movies with a few good friends, bowling, pool, camping or having a sleepover. Whether it's preferable to be an introvert or extravert I don't think either is better than the other, just different. I do think that introverts understand extraverts better than extraverts understand introverts. Extraverts tend to view introverted behavior as insulting and often think something is wrong with an introverted person.

I feel like everybody says they have socialanixety, edgy, or introverted. In my school I feel like I'm the only person who says there extroverted.

i hate how people just assume that introverts are shy and antisocial, like were not we just profer to keep to our selves and stay indoors. Introverts can be really chatty but after a while it can get draining, we refuel by being in the comfort of our own homes.

One of my best friends is outgoing and good with socializing, but she's an introvert. These four terms are often confused.

Being an extrovert who talks excessively is rly hard rn coz when I talk my parents scold me and my siblings tell me to shut up, and my friends are ignoring my texts :’)

I'm an introvert and just moved to Brazil and it's so tough. Everyone is just so enthusiastic and loud and happy here so people think I'm weird. Like my aunt told me that the doorman asked her if I was "mentally challenged" because I didn't say "Good morning" every time I went out (and when I did, I said it quietly). How was I supposed to know that a polite nod and a smile wasn't enough? And this one time my bag went missing at my gym so I rushed to the receptionist and she was like "Oh, you talk." It is hard being labelled as "rude" or "strange" because people don't understand you. Everyone thinks there is a problem with me, but really it's just the way I am. Like sure I'll make an effort to be more friendly but I'm not going to change who I am to fit into society's idea of normal.

I hate parties... I don't like ppl crowding around me. I like fresh air, space, the outdoors... Yeah.

I am like 50 percent extrovert and 50 percent introvert.

Wow, I would imagine the majority of people are introverts. Although I respect people who call themselves extroverts, because introverts are glorified and extroverts are rather hated.

It's funny because one of my best friends is an extrovert, and I am a huge introvert. She knows basically exactly what I'm gonna say and says it for me, she also saves me from unwanted conversations. I love her, and she's really the only one I can open up to!

Things introverts hate doing • getting called on to answer a question • working in groups • interacting with the cashier at stores • meeting new people ( it’s not that we hate the person, but we’re just awkward ) • presentations • going to the front of class to get a tissue or hand sanatizer • waiting in the lunch line at lunch. • ( personal ) finding a job is even difficult for me, most jobs hiring at my age are cashier jobs but I hate interacting with strangers. I’ve been searching for 10 months now and still haven’t gotten one because I’m so picky.

I'm an introvert but people think I'm always sad because I never talk to anyone in my classes besides lunch. I honestly hate mostly everyone at my school because they're all extroverts and they judge me because I'm not "loud" or "annoying like them" and people always tell me to smile when there is nothing to smile about. I'm a loud introvert. Everyone keeps telling me to lower my voice, and when I make jokes they tell me to not talk, but when I don't talk they're like "What's wrong? Talk a little more!". So I can relate to both

Portrayals of introverts are always so inaccurate. I'm one of the most introverted people I know: however, people generally notice me because I'm extremely confident, outspoken, and tend to get along very well with most people. I usually make friends easily and tend to have quite a few. I've had good luck and success meeting people and having relationships, and I got married when I was 26 and have been married for over 10 years now. All that being said, I strongly prefer to be alone around 95% of the time, and if I have to interact too much, it leaves me feeling cranky and exhausted afterwards and I need more alone time to compensate. Extroverts and introverts both have the ability and desire to be social, but extroverts feel recharged after being social and alone time tends to drain them, whereas introverts feel drained from being social and require alone time to recharge.

I miss all of these guys! I rewatch their videos! Quarantine has really got me seeing them again

I'm equally both. Kind of. When I'm more depressed/socially anxious, I'm more introverted. When I'm in a good mood, I'm more extroverted. Social situations do drain me (especially because I am the person keeping people on task, preventing fights, listening to everyone's problems, etc. etc. -.-) and I do like to stay at home, but I definitely seek out social opportunities - I can't stand to be alone for too long, and need communication every single day. I feel lonely easily. So yeah. Both.

That part about hoping no one heard you laugh is so me, cause then someone might hear you & then ask what you're laughing at & then you have to fucking talk to them, UGH.
