I totally agree! Side note: I feel like extroverts get a bad rap because they’re not seen as shy, and edgy (when those things don’t have anything to do with introversion or extroversion) and are seen as arrogant, self absorbed, or perky, or something like that. Those things are not true for all extroverts and those things don’t have to do with whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert.

As an ambivert I can relate and not at the same time.

I, as an introvert, find it wayy more enjoyable to do things alone since i can actually be myself. Idk, i just hate working together with someone since then i feel like i get nothing done.

I relate more to introverts honestly, but I can also charge up from social interaction. Like, interacting with friends charges the short term battery and being alone charges the long term battery. I get a sudden boost of energy when I meet with someone in the morning, but don't truly rest until I'm alone.

I really like this take on extroversion! It breaks the misconception that extroverts are just party-heads. And yes like Maaz, I wouldn't have guessed you were on the extrovert spectrum after our brief meeting at vidcon lol

My worst extrovert problem: Everyone in university notices if I'm absent

Very cool of you to talk about extrovert problems. It's usually all about introverts and to be fair there's a lot of problems we have, however on that notion it's assumed extroverts are these super social beings with no weaknesses whatsoever, and I think this video does it justice to say "Well yeah, but here's the thing", followed by some cool anecdotal mythbusting. P.S The cat Noir Reference and cat ear Emmy made my day. I never saw myself getting into a show like Miraculous but here we are.

Great video. Explained perfectly what being introvert and an extrovert mean. My friends were always extremely confused with me because I'm a heavy introvert but I love doing public speeches and being a host in any school event or something but I hate when they invite me to parties shopping etc multiple days in a row.

It’s weird, but I always feel conflicted about if I’m an extrovert or introvert because it wholly depends on the kinds of people I’m seeing. Some people drain me totally and make me want to just go home, and some people make me feel I can conquer the world after seeing them. You know?

My biggest extrovert problem is that I’m a shy, non-partying extrovert who relies on her (mostly introverted) friends to hang out with her, because of the nature of introvert/extrovert energies, they are basically in charge of when we hang out (I mostly make the plans) so if they cancel bc they’re too drained, I’m screwed that day

I just found your channel and this is so me! I’m an Asian (which is besides the point) extrovert who went to drawing class with only introverted friends. I never hear people point out the struggles of being an extrovert, but this video finally made me feel seen!😭 Sometimes it’s lonely being the only extrovert, asking if someone wants to hang out just for everyone to answer “sorry, I don’t have energy”😓

Here is a story about myself when I was little: I used to love to talk to people and was a full on extrovert up until 8th grade... one day during 8th grade my best friend said she didn't want to hang out anymore because she thought I was a toxic person and was too self-entitled... After that day I became so scared about what others might think of me that I slowly stopped wanting to talk to others because I was afraid that what she said might have been true. I was so sad because I had always cared about my friends opinions and interests and had not known that she had felt this way about our friendship. I had tried talking to her after that day but she just ran away or awkwardly said she has to go. One day she even asked the teacher if she could move to the other side of the classroom because she didn't want to sit by me. This got me down a lot. A couple of my friends even started hanging out with her more than me. I was afraid that she was telling them what a bad person I was and started to avoid talking to my main friends from my friend group. I was still nice to her though and sometimes brought presents to her family's house on special occasions. It didn't do any good. I was at my lowest point and hated being an extrovert and stated even questioning if I still was one? After a few weeks had passed, I met an old friend and previous neighbor at lunch. I started sitting at her lunch table with her friend. I slowly started to gain confidence again and went back to my usual, happy, confident self. I still became sad when I saw my old friends and sometimes started feeling that I was a bad friend. But my self esteem has been a lot better lately now that I have made new friends who love me for who I am! :) If you have found yourself in this situation or one close to mine, always remember that you are amazing for who you are and that you are amazing just the way you are! If people make you feel down then they are not the right person for you to be hanging out with. Choose who you want to be and don't let others ever make you feel like you need to change! Being an extrovert myself, I also struggle with problems; however mine are different because I have ADHD. And the fact that I’m also an extrovert causes me to need a lot of attention at all times. Sometimes my body actually goes a little bit too far without my brain knowing it and I end up lying about myself, constantly and always talking about myself, without me meaning to because my brain is wired to think that I always need attention. This also results in another problem, because I grew up with so much attention from my parents, when people like my friends don’t give me that same attention then I think that they don’t care about me, or they don’t love me; which is obviously not true but it’s just what my brain ends up thinking. It’s been really hard living my life as an extrovert with ADHD but I’m keeping on pushing through.

Lets not forget the part where you're expected to deal with awkward and creepy social interactions on behalf of your friends because "YOU'RE the extrovert, that's YOUR job", and just leave you to deal with whatever. Classic extrovert stuff, y'know? ...that or I should probably get better friends.

Being a super extroverted person myself, I think if you’re lonely during times trying to do something, be imagining something like picturing someone next to you or thinking of that one show, that’s what always helps me with drawing alone and as for public speaking, practice by writing and recording things and sharing them this makes it more natural for conversations to large groups of people flow and also I am a food monster

I have to admit your video actually opened my eyes and was enlightening. I kind of fall on both sides of the fence on this one. Sometimes I need to be alone for long periods of time to really get my creative juices flowing or snap myself out of a funk. And sometimes I really need to be around as many friends as possible because I'm addicted to making people happy, and if I'm not sharing my happiness with others, it gets kinda dull. ;p But I really like how you expressed it all. And you are very right, there are lots of videos on introvert problems and most people think extroverts don't have any because they are social gods or something. Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it and it made me smile. ^_^

When you talked about enthusiasm, I just immedieatly began to remember my experiences with it. Mainly, the problem is a friend and I have a hangout time set up. I'm always super hyped and ready to have fun, but sometimes the other person just isn't feeling it and it gets really awkward. It's sort of like me bouncing suggestion after suggestion off of them and each one being rejected.

Being an extrovert, this video was totally relatable! I mean I've seen many introvert 'relatable stuff' in social media and like you said in the video, I've thought why aren't there anything relatable about extroverts.

Most of the time i like to connect with people, but since i know that my introvert friends will soon need to stop to recharge themselves, I end up learning to be on my own. I m so good at this that i thought i was introvert like them for a long time. I ignore my needs and my own self just like that. I don't have any extrovert friends to share extrovert problems with. In social media, i heard about introvert issues a lot, i feel left out. Moreover, It seems like people using introverting as an excuse for being shy, or lack of communication skills or to avoid engaging in group task. Meanwhile, the extrovert is so "blessed" with confidence and social skills that has nothing to worry about getting ahead of everything. Thank you for the vid !

To be honest I always thought I was an introvert and I was years ago but now I kind of share the same problems as you do. I love to hang out with my friends, or just going out with family. After doing something I am normally in a good mood. The only thing is most of the time I prefer to do things alone.

Dude I'm an introvert and this blew my mind, like eating with people bothers me a lot and I hate it unless it's with like a super close friend or family, I always worry they'll judge me on how fast I eat what I eat blah blah blah. As an ambivert I don't relate to a load of extrovert or introvert problems but I totally get the doing tasks with another presence thing! I love doing simple tasks when i'm with a group of people i enjoy being around. I don't often like drawing and talking but I absolutely love sitting there with another person and not saying a single word for hours on end. at least i'm not alone and i have company but sometimes i just really don't wanna talk or i can't. i have an issue where (i'm not sure if this is common or not) but my voice just gets really tired and i just seem to run out of breath so i can't speak a lot or it quite literally hurts to talk- but i simply enjoy the company of others but it's also just relaxing to not have to talk you know?! this is a lot easier to do if it's my best friends or my boyfriend, since their energy is one i already made a connection with and it's not like awkward or anything and we're all used to it. hehe

I'm a extrovert as well and a young artist. A way I keep working is by watching live streams while drawing or listen to people talk for hours. It makes me feel like I'm always with someone when really I'm in a room alone.

For a long time on dating profiles I've always put "I'm an extrovert in an introvert world." I have never thought of being extroverted as getting energy from other people, more like I really enjoy it and get excited when I seem to be hitting the right notes and in keeping the people around me entertained. On the flip side when I'm trying to be funny are interesting and people seem bored, it's devastating to me. So I also relate to what you mean about being an extrovert without good people skills. I was without any close friends for most of my life, and had a lot of problems with trying to make friends with people who would in turn be very cruel to me especially in elementary through high school. Only in Community College did people start to lose some of their clique attitudes and just focus on their studies, which is where I finally started to make some friends. Actually the group of friends that I had in San Diego before I moved up here in Portland I had finally bonded with after we started to both realize that we really wanted to be friends with people we just didn't know how to do it. I was surprised because some of the people in that group seemed very sure of themselves and great at talking to people, but they confided in me that they also felt very insecure a lot of the time. Unfortunately once I had my first child they stopped wanting to hang out even though I said that I was happy to leave my child at home with my parents and do something adults only, and once we moved up here the group all fell apart anyway. And since then I have just been home with the kids all day, obviously COVID hasn't helped me make friends either LOL Oh well maybe this will be the year I finally make some friends... At least until climate change kills us all:)

If you think about it, art is WAYYY more of a social thing. You make it, maybe send it to others for coloring and shading, and if you do it all yourself... You still have to rely on your friends or family or even fans to tell you if they like it or not. And while their opinions don’t matter, it’s always good to see someone or a group of people that like your art. It isn’t the end of the world if one person doesn’t like your art. Keep striving and getting better, even if only you like your art.

I was an introvert most of my life, but after getting my first job, I slowly became more ambiverted. I've begun initiating hangouts, and saying yes to other people's hangout initiations. But I still spend most of my time in my room drawing or making tiktok videos.

Can't say I relate, but even the introvert in me is excited at the thought of the con you went to. Both super excited and would be exhausted every day. Sounds fun though. For a short time. I'm an extreme introvert so yeah.

I’m an introvert but my little sister is an extrovert and our brother (middle child) is an ambivert. It’s a pretty interesting dynamic to see in action. Despite the differences we bounce off each other really well in banter. We once had this whole impromptu conversation in the drug store (forgot why we were there) that set off most of the other customers listening into fits of laughter. That was fun. It’s kinda obvious which of us is which from such an interaction. It does make my sister and I clash quite harshly at times but my siblings have told me they are happy to have grown up with me because now they feel they know how to be understanding of their more introverted friends/boyfriends. I’ve also gotten better about being around my more extroverted friends as well, though most of my friends are introverts or ambiverts. Still, I can still be more understanding and speak their love language better since my siblings taught me how to cater to this different set of social needs. I enjoy being able to show that I care.

I love this! I am an omnivert - i can be either extroverted or introverted. I recently have been healing from childhood trauma, and have become very introverted. but I feel close to being ready to be extroverted again :) So i understand both sides: "not wanting to do the activity, no social battery." and also "wanting to do the activity but everyone else is socially drained or have other things." plus body doubling has always been a thing I love doing :)
