Since the dawn of time, humanity has sought new ideas, forever developing them into newer concepts. Their genius made them stand out from the other animals. Each invention is a veritable evolutionary step. Humans’ use of tools surpasses all others, making Homo Sapiens technologists since before historical records were invented.
Inventions follow humanity’s most noteworthy innovations and places the power of these technological developments in your hands to evolve your societies over the ages.
In Inventions, cards simulate these new concepts. They are the ideas that eventually become inventions. Once they are invented, they can be shared with the world, and everyone involved in the process spreads exciting news. You can even share with other societies, boosting the inventions’ efficacy.
Inventions is a tactical game that revolves around long-term strategy. Each society’s progress will be measured in Ingenuity Points (IP). The player with the most IP has the strongest society and wins the game.

Very helpful video. While to components are prototype, are the rules final? If not, do you plan to re-review the final version that actually arrives in the hands of backers?

As far as I know. These rules are absolutely final :) there might have been the odd misprint on a tile, but nothing game-changing.

Is this your first Lacerda? That Ryan bits were hilarious. The game name seems a bit misleading, because it really seems to be a civilization type of game, which is something I love.

It is not. I actually have a review for On Mars as well. I’ve played a few others but those are the only ones I have videos for. I was hesitant to relate it to a cub game being that another common note from people is, “I thought it was a civ game but it isn’t”. It definitely has civ bits, but it’s not all civy

Great video but a $171 buy in price is pretty steep for 2-4 player game. My gaming group would not be impressed.

It is up there in price. I tend to leave the price out of reviews because the cost is the most subjective part of the review. No one's financial situation is the same, nor is the value they put on entertainment. But I get it. I personally am ok with spending more than the average person, not be made I'm rich, just bad with money lol

Yes, if price would be more reasonable, then I would definitely go in, as I really like Lisboa, I think I would like this as well, but 120€ + VAT of 21% + shipping makes it at least 170€, which is like a miniatures game usually, not a euro game with cardboard peaces, right ?

Me actually can become a genius, when i play inventions board game solo mode. But not actual Alien😂. But I'll try my best to get the Alien title👽. Im really can't wait to get play physically solo mode inventions board game designer by vital lacerda.
