@@fabianramirez7807 Amazon has confirmed S3 will also happen. Atleast s2 and 3 are greenlit for now. With the pace they had in S1, o assume it could take around a total of 6 seasons to cover the story. Maybe 7. And of they write more stuff we could get s7-8 but that's thinking too far ahead

It forces us out of that "safe space" of what is good and wrong and just makes us understand. The thing I love about Nolan is how right he is about pretty much everything. Cats and dogs live less than us but most rats only live 1 to 2 years where humans can live 90 to 100. Nolan isn't right. He's an asshole lmao. Viltrumites are basically space racists - in the TRUEST sense of the word. Racists toward every other alien race in the galaxy, believing themselves the top of the food chain, the only ones with the right to rule and "uplift" every other race into the future. And then there are absolute extremists like Thragg and Conquest, which we will see in future seasons, that ONLY care about the "might makes right" part, and don't really care about leading anybody into a better future.

“I need to save them!” “I’ll stop you.” “I won’t let you.” Those were the tear jerkers for me. No matter how hard he’s beaten down, bloodied face and shattered bones, he has the heart of a true hero. He won’t comprise what’s right, and I think he was fully aware that he was gonna die. Mad respect, he feels so alive, even in a animated show. It’s impressive.

I think Nolan was talking to himself while talking to Mark, he needed to talk himself into going through with it all. But when Mark said "You. I'll still have you" was the verbal attack that caused his defense to fall apart, he couldn't continue after he said that

The collapsing building and subway scenes legit filled me with despair. I can't think of another scene I've ever seen or read that gave me such an instant "JESUS MOTHERFUCKING CHRIST" reaction than the subway scene. Amazing series. And I'm blind too, I haven't read and don't plan on reading the comic until the series is done.

I actually expected Mark to do a lot better in this fight. His father has been hit by an orbital laser, a Cthulhu monster, 3 undead soldiers that smashed him into the ground, and the Immortal nearly ripping out his eyes. I assumed the point of all of that was to make him weaker so Mark could stand a chance. I guess the power gap was just too wide even then.

One thing I loved about this fight is how uneven it was, and how much sense that made. Mark is literally a teenager who’s been in a couple bouts and had a couple fighting lesson up against a trained military officer and insurgent combatant.

To be honest, in a way I think Omni Man had good intentions for the planet. He mentions that the Earth could be inhabited with no wars, end world hunger, and have medical technology centuries ahead of what exists now. I feel as though he approached his goal as an imperialist whereas he could have been more of a philanthropist in his approach

What you need to understand is that Mark getting his powers upset Omniman. It means that Mark is considered Viltrum, and would be brutally executed for resisting. Omniman is wrong to expect Mark to bend the knee, but he is trying to save his sons life.

Mark is only 17 and took a beating and lived to talk about it. The fact Omni Man left after Mark said He would still have his father. Nolan cracked, it hit him hard. Cause he wanted his Son to be just like him. But Mark isn't. Never read the comic, but wow. This series was insane. Loved it, Better than anything MCU or DCU put together.

@@_P785_ I'm paraphrasing Mark's life vs what his dad has lived. Omni Man says this sort of thing multiple times in the comics, yes. And Mark only realizes this at the end of the last episode in the show while talking with Alan. Nolan tries to beat it into him, but it is not until his talk with Alan that it sinks in.

The thing about the comic I loved (besides the characteristic Kirkman anti-tropes) is the huge scope of the comic across time and space and other dimensions. Seems like the viewers are getting a taste of that scope in this series. There's a side-story with two of the characters (not Invincible or Atom Eve) that spans hundreds of years in another dimension where the local span is weeks. Many 'Whooooaaa!' moments in the comics I'm looking forward to re-experiencing through your reactions.

This goes into the Superman issue. If Clark hadn’t killed Zod…and obliterated the rest of the kryptonians? Steppenwolf and Darkseid would’ve arrived to claim the anti life equation only to find it guarded by a plantet of gods.
