Debbie: Thinks about giving the baby away. Greg Alba, LITERALLY one second later: "I thought Debbie would struggle a bit with the baby, that´s a little surprising.."
I don't think people on Earth consider that Superman even has a secret identity like Spiderman and Batman. He doesn't even wear a mask, and because they think he's constantly saving someone on Earth, they subconsciously might ignore that Clark is even Superman. But yeah, he should have been spotted by face ID software or something like that. However, America is so big that there might be multiple people who resemble Superman/Clark's face that even the government might've ignored it. Even if I were living in the DC universe, why would I ever think that Superman might be roaming around with us in casual attire? @@GrimlockGuy34
Something I realized after Rex killed the lizard lady with just one exploding rod thing is that he's gotta work on his aim lmao. As soon as that killed her I was like "wait all it takes is a direct hit?" Assuming he's not about to get his brains blown out, he's got to start practicing on that aim lol
also, i know this doesn't happen in the comics since I've read them, but i really wish he'd carry more shit on him. he has, like, 10 things to charge and detonate....and once he runs out, he has nothing to do. he was lucky he had a few small discs for the big guy.
I’m pretty sure Kate ain’t completely dead, with that power I doubt she doesn’t have another duplicate available for a backup plan. But Rae’s dead fasho… that was brutal, “yum….”
Wait a minute.. is there a limit to the number of clones Kate can make? From what I can tell, the only weakness is you can kill all the Kates faster than she can spawn them which begs the question... why can't she just leave one Kate at HQ?
One of the things I love with Invincible is that there's so many villains and threats happening at the same time. Multiple villains and storyline threats happening at the same time, like there's a constant looming danger. Which is kinda what you expect in a superhero universe. Something you don't see in other shows where there's one main plot with intertwined villains at best
@@ReboundProdigy she didn’t deserve to die like that though, and they better show her respect and measure her in funeral, because in the comics they stop talking about shrinking Ray after he died like he wasn’t there
An upload at 4AM? Makes sense, this was too good to wait any longer. RIP Shrinking Rae, she was a real one. Her and Kate’s deaths caught me off guard Ngl but overall 10/10. The back and forth between the battle on mars was insane cannot wait until next week.
In the comics, Omnipotus was basically Kirkman's take on one of those mind-bendingly powerful multiversal characters that still lose/get beat up for stupid reasons like plot/power of friendship/luck/etc. So the Guardians getting folded makes sense.
I keep thinking about the Shrinking Rae scene, her yelps of fear you can hear when she’s inside before he over powers her are so disturbing….and the bubble comes out of his mouth is her final breaths..
even knowing exactly what happens I still wasn't prepared for this episode, shit slaps and I'm pissed I'm going to have to wait another week until episode 6
I like what they do with these characters, they could easily just be background characters for the main ppl but building them because it’ll essentially become them/humans/earth/universe versus the viltrumites and when the crazy shit happens later, it’ll hit hard and realize how serious these consequences/deaths are for everyone.
I remember my brother telling me that Allen has the Sayain ability to get a power boot when he survives near death experiences. Glad to see it in the show.
@@yaboyauss4273I mean to be fair, they were all viltrumites. Difficult to penetrate skin and stuff, but even still that guy got gutted and kept fighting lol. pretty brutal to me
They rlly said “u forgot who we were let us remind you” with the ending. Wats crazy is every single one of dupli Kate’s fights give u this feeling where u don’t know if she can multiply fast enough and might just get crushed and this fight it actually happened. Like we’re used to seeing her struggle to multiply and then get out of it. But it didn’t work this tjme
the reason donald couldn't see in the room was because they can remotely block his eyes due to having built them. The room looks white to him like the others do for mark. but without the chemicals in the water for Donald so mark could possibly see this room with the robots in it due to that somehow being something else. Either way its all layers of truth with Cecil, You only know what he wants you to know
Even if Rex was taking his job more seriously, He would’ve still went in with the same plan and ended up the same way. Literally nothing would’ve changed. The rest of the team wasn’t there and they underestimated the lizard league. The blame lies with Cecil.
Viltrumites get stronger after surviving severe injury also as we’ve seen. I think that’s what Thaddeus was banking on more than anything with Allen. He probably thought if it works for Viltrumites it’ll work for him.
It also makes sense that if he was made to counter viltrumite that he would adapt some of their traits. Also Also in the past they showed that he was getting stronger after each defeat so the theory has its bases
Fun fact: The Lizard league guy who killed Kate and Rea is "Kokodo Dragon" which is pretty funny considering how Komono dragons tend to eat their pray.. Whole
Not necessarily. If it’s small maybe but they’re well known for killing things a LOT bigger than themselves, like water buffalo. They tend to bite, then back off till their venom incapacitates/kills the prey, and then take their time biting off pieces and swallowing them at their leisure
Slightly traumatized seeing duplikate die like that...like he said in the breakdown she just seemed so infallible due to the nature of her ability. I never considered that in a real fight when faced with a strong opponent in a close quarters fight, you can easily be put into a corner and make a mistake that will cost you your life. This is why Invincible will be one of the greatest depictions of superheroes in all of entertainment history. Were so used to these blockbuster films where the stakes are high but there is always that sense of security that the good guys will ultimately win. This is better than any dc or marvel animated movie or show that I've seen
@@EKPB yea when she panicked and tried to split up again...she wasn't even thinking she was in flight mode fighting wasn't even an option to her she was so terrified
I cannot recall a show that uses its run time better than this one, the amount of stuff they were able to cram into this episode without it feeling off when it came to pacing was astounding to me
The most shocking part was definitely the Lizard League cause I didn't know they actually have powers,at least some of them,I thought they were just people dressed as lizards...that was really brutal and I really feel bad for Rex...
Sure Donald being a robot means he can’t have a family or whatever but it’s not like he would have been able to anyways considering he was blown to bits.
I was really impressed with how they wrote him to be a much more likable this episode. He’s still an asshole, but his lines this episode showed how he might be a *lovable* asshole, and why Eve might’ve have dated him for a while.
Also I have to point out again (would love to remind the characters themselves) : Nolan is legally dead on earth. His marriage to Debbie ended with his “death”. I mean I know he was alive the last she saw him and it’s more the principals of it all but they’re not married.
I think Debbie understands as most parents would, that the child is innocent. At least my parents do, ‘cause they’ve literally said that to me before. She can resent Nolan’s choices but that doesn’t mean she’d take it out on the child.
I know people love Jason Mantzoukas as all his crazy roles like Derek in the Good Place and Pimento in Brooklyn 9 9, but in live action he so commonly falls into that character actor haha funny hes crazy, but it amazes me how great he is at Rex with so much emotion from dooche to sincear and then goofy, its quite fun.
This episode illustrated why Ant-Man couldn't have gone inside Thanos and then grew. Thanos (and the Lizard Guy) were tough enough that they could contain even super-powered growth.
Yo I’m in like shock right now that was like super traumatizing for Rex, even if he survives that’s gonna be hard to deal with those were like the two most gruesome deaths that situation was terrifying
Cecil plays with fire now. For now Mark is not fully grown viltrumite. But soon he will grow as strong as his father and even stronger than him. Does he really want second omniman incident?
When I first saw this, I knew Kate was not making it out of that fight because they were focusing on it for WAY too long 😭. But Rae’s death caught me off guard ngl.
They felt sooo underprepared for the attack on the Martian ship. Like you said Robot brought just himself and one bot, rex (excellent crowd control power) stayed behind, they didn’t even really interrogate Shapesmith as far as I can tell. They really just said fuck it we’ll figure it out as we go.
42:30 I think the ship may be further than we think. There would be significant latency if he was to send a robot proxy remotely, or the signal might not even reach.
Literally I can’t get over the Guardians fight. I knew more of Kate than Rae but it’s still crazy. I’m gonna need more episodes now! Also I saw the Gen V connection and ran here to see if you saw it too and the obvious reactions to everything.
I suspected thatus was a viltumite from the start. i thought what a perfect way it would work to control the opposition to your empire then to have one of your own in a leadership position.
When the alarm went off and the guardians that stayed behind went to respond i was like yo this group is lowkey weak asf. But i did not expect duplikate to get absolutely fucking bodied like that💀 this show is so good broo what
I didn't even know the show was back until about 2 days ago, but I'm really happy that it is. I'm just wondering why Atom Eve didn't put her field around the shuttle instead to give them more time to come up with a plan. Personally, I would've been rethinking my relationship situation with Monster Girl after she bit my head off about showing I care about her well being. Everything isn't always about somebody's body. Sometimes you just care about if a person is going to still be able to be a part of your life and don't want to lose them. That stuff with the team left behind on Earth really had me scream "Hell No", but the extra scene at the end made me feel a bit better. Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌ out.
So I know you were joking about a "crossover event" but the comics actually had several crossovers, in fact Donald is from a different comic altogether he just fit so well that they kept him in the show as a more permanent character. In a couple issues you can actually see Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead.
It's a thing people tend to not think about. If your skin is super resilient it is going to be like that from both sides meaning if someone shrunk down to get inside you like she did then return to normal size like she did they most likely would be crushed by doing so. and since he survived I'm assuming his organs and muscle tissue is of similar resilient to his outer skin.
