The creativity of youth really helped her think out of the box. You’ll notice as a young adult she’s less adventurous with her abilities. I think as long as that mental barrier is still present, she’ll never fully realize her power. The comic explores this much later in the series but I’m glad they’re exploring it now for the show.

I do think you're onto something, though I feel the reason she wasn't as cracked in the show as she is here was because of the show's limited budget at the time. They were still testing the waters for the first season, but because of how fantastic the reception was, Amazon is giving them a much higher budget and it shows. Which has got me HYPED AF for this coming season.

@@Coolgame6812that and I feel they didn’t want to make her look too powerful. Like some of the scenes where Mark saved or helped her. She shouldn’t have needed that help at all. They made her look weaker so Mark could be her savior.

Totally. To rephrase your comment, she was only bound by Robert Kirkman's mental capabilities (at the time). He's since said that she's crazy powerful but that he lacked the imagination to fully explore her character further. Now that he's had more than a decade to digest his writing & he's being helped by excellent writing team, I can only grasp at the ways they're going to use her powers in the seasons to come

20:47 In her comics right after this scene here, Atom Eve says with tears in her eyes: "For one moment I had the power. I could have fixed it. ..I could have brought you back. But I used it for revenge instead. ..I'm sorry mom and dad. ..I love you." I think those lines have a really powerful emotional impact. Also, as her last standing brother dissolves, he says (in her comics) "...They don't care about us now. ..Now they have you. ..Goodbye, Eve." right before he disintegrates. Maybe they could have kept those lines in the adapted episode.

Eve just has the coolest powers, and easily one of the strongest ones too. But she's not just strong because of that, but also simply because smart and very quick to adapt on the fly. And imagine what she could do to Viltrumites too, if she could get rid of that inhibitor, turning them into soup. She could become one of the most powerful beings in the universe. Given her fucked up past I'm glad she grew up to be a good girl. This could've easily been her tragic villain backstory too, like a certain someone from another animated show. But what would an unlocking of her powers do to her? She'd become literally godlike. And that's pretty scary, because that kind of power has the potential to corrupt even the kindest humans. On the other hand, she sort of proved herself already a bit here by just let those guys forget about her. She could've easily done so much worse to them.

She can manipuate living organisms (she regrew trees and plants at a whim) when she decides to not be limited and she'll grow in the knowlege of her power. But yeah, at her full power she could just turn your brain into water instead of throwing hands. In her early battle with Kill Canon she was twelve and testing her power.

The inhibitor probably limits her to not be able to manipulate actual sentient beings. Unless she really shows a lot of restraint, if we assume it's deactivated since this moment, which really would just speak even more for her character (as in her as a person). Even the military guys she could've treated so much worse than just make them forget about her. But I personally don't think she has control over it yet, otherwise she could probably even turn Nolan into soup if she wanted to.

Nolans cells are probably to rugged but I'm sure she could probably hurt him like blind him until he heals again. If not for the limitations brandyworth placed in her she might have been able to have saved her sibling phase 2 at least@@Dark__Thoughts

@@Dark__Thoughts At that point she could have done so much worse to those guys than just a memory wipe. Sadly without any inhibitions she might have been able to at east save her sibling Phase2 and her mom. I't'll be interesting how the series will take it.
