THANK YOU! I just had my attachments on yesterday and they hurt like HELL. The top tray was easier to remove than the bottom tray, but your method helped me even though I have no orthokey! You earn a subscriber, my teeth aren’t hurting to take off anymore! 💗
Out of all of the videos I've watched, this has been the most helpful. She's a little long-winded, but realistic. Most people on here with their tutorials don't have crowding teeth, especially on the bottom. And I've had my aligners only for a few days and have struggled with getting them out. It's so bad, that I skip meals just so I won't have to be bothered with getting them out. I've also already broken a button off. It's pure hell and I hate that I got them so far. But I'm going to try this method for removing my bottom tray. But if this doesn't work for me, I'm getting a refund because this is ridiculous. And these darn buttons are so sharp and cutting my inner jaw lining like crazy. Thanks, Chica!
Thank you for the honesty and feedback, I’m definitely a talker lol 😅 I’m glad you doing this video helpful though and I hope things have been improving for you! Wishing you all the best on your journey 💙
Ask your orthodontist/dentist or assistant for some orthodontic wax. Break off a small piece, roll it into a ball, possibly wipe the tooth or attachment to dry it a little and stick the wax on the attachment. If you accidentally swallow it when eating, not a problem .
Whew!!! THANK YOU! my daughter just got her invisaligns today and she was struggling in tears trying to get them off to eat. I ordered that ortho key with the quickness! Thank you x1000
I got my attachments today. I'm afraid of pulling too hard and breaking the aligner. I skipped my last meal of the day because I just couldn't take them out :'( I hope it gets easier, but this is very frustrating
I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been having a hard time with your aligners 😔 It definitely gets easier over time and with good tools and techniques. I found that removing my aligners starting with the back molars on either side and working my way to the front really helped (I have a video on it if you’d like to see how I remove my aligners), and buying an orthokey was also super helpful for me personally I hope things start getting easier soon!
I just got my trays and on my second time trying to remove them, my inside front lip got caught and I actually cut it (it got "pinched" between the bottom tray and my jaw bone). So I'm watching everyone with more experience to see what I can learn. Thank you for making a clear and real video young lady. You taught me some stuff 😃
I’m getting my Invisalign todayyyy and I’m so scared. I can’t sleep 😭 I hope I’m able to get the trays out easily with the ortho key. Thank you for the video!
I can't thank you enough for this video!!! I got (most of) my attachments last week, the same day I started Invisalign. I had SUCH a hard time getting them out! The next day at work I was pulling so hard to get my top tray out that I pulled one of my attachments off. That's when I searched youtube for getting the aligners out and came across your video. I first watched an orthodontist demonstrate with a set of those fake teeth but that wasn't NEARLY has helpful as your video. Actually doing it and having to take that extra step to get the tray out really made the difference. I believe the struggle to get the trays out was what made it painful for me during the first 24 hours. After watching this video, it was much easier and things felt MUCH better quickly! I just called the dentist's office today and told them I pulled off an attachment (oops), so I go in on Monday to have it replaced. Hopefully I haven't messed myself up by waiting so long to call. I am older (56), and never had braces. I have 26 trays, changing every 2 weeks, so 1 year in treatment. And after watching your video, I'm wondering if I'm going to get elastics.... He didn't say. I do know that I have to get 4 more attachments after tray 2 (week 4). I've watched all your other Invisalign videos and will probably watch them again. I purchased an ortho key and still need to purchase a few more things for this journey. Thanks so much again!!
You don’t know how happy it makes me that i was able to make your journey even a little bit easier! As for the attachment I’m sure you’ll be ok 😊 I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and wish you the best of luck on the remainder of your journey! Definitely let me know if there’s anything you have questions about/anything I can help with!
I’m really glad you found my channel too! Wishing you all the best on your journey and if you ever have any questions feel free to reach out, I’d be happy to help! 😊💙
I m 6 weeks pregnant and just got my aligners and i m facing imense pain can’t have painkillers and haven’t eaten anything from last 24 hrs now im thinking this was the worst decision i have taken in my entire life
I’m so sorry to hear that it’s been rough for you. I promise it gets better soon if you’re able to push through it. For now I’d suggest maybe smoothies or meal replacement drinks like ensure, and drinking ice water while I had my Aligners in helped me a lot. Wishing you all the best with your Invisalign treatment and your journey to motherhood 💙
@@Shilique I'll probably lose some weight, haha. My teeth are a little sore but not as bad as yesterday. I have 4 brackets on my teeth and my lower teeth are crowded. I don't eat much because I can't get my lower tray off. I do have longish fake nails so that might be the issue. I got my tray off once and I'm going to try again before bed. Your video was helpful and I'm going to give your tips a try.
I actually shed a few pounds early on lol. I used to be a chronic snacker and I also had trouble removing my bottom tray lol. I actually find that having nail extensions helps with removal, but I use the side of my nail instead of the tip - I find it gives me a better angle and let’s me push harder if that makes sense (not sure if you can see it in the video)
@@Shilique Yes, I did notice you did that and I have not tried it that way yet. Im also a snacker, haha. I've lost 40lbs this year so far so hopefully I will keep going!
Hey, yes! My treatment took about a year and a half but my teeth were very bad when I started. It’s totally possible for you to be done after less than a year.
Hey Melisa! I found that at first I used a lot more force (and the OrthoKey is super sturdy), but over time I got the hang of it and it got easier. Hope this helps!
@@Shilique I did, i was using my chewie, and suddenly i heard a loud "TIKK"... Froze for a second wondering if i broke a tooth or something, it was just a composite breaking off, apparently it just wasn't properly attached, hence why using my chewie is what broke it off. Replacing it was easy though. :)
I’ve had them a week, I have short nails so I’ve ordered a hook tool, but I don’t know what elastics and attachments are, what are they because my dentist said I’m getting attachments soon
Hey Tasker! Attachments are little “bumps” that they attach to your teeth so that the Aligners attach more securely. I have a video about attachments, you should check it out! I will say that the first day or so with attachments your teeth/gums will be pretty sore. Elastics are tiny rubber bands that attach to your teeth with hooks on your teeth or trays. They’re used to pull your jaw into the correct alignment. I think I also have an elastics video if you’re interested 😊 Best of luck on your Invisalign journey! 💙
I started Invisalign in December 2019 and finished in May 2021, so it was just under a year and a half. The hook tool will be a huge help with taking your aligners off though!
