Hi everyone! If you feel the video has helped, please consider listening to my new album at justintowell.bandcamp.com - it would really make me happy :) Best of luck with your Invisalign!
straight teeth are a golden ticket. Everywhere. In the job, in social life, flirting, a positive appearance is defined by positive energie and that's impossible to have without a nice smile :)
Yes you remind me of Johnny Depp! Your teeth look amazing this process really makes you look like a completely different person!! I’m on my second week wearing each for a week then onto the other. I’ll be having extractions I have overcrowding. Seeing your results are exciting!
One of the benefits of straightening teeth is being able to floss properly, and having closed interproximal contacts between teeth. This will prevent cavities between them because less food will get trapped between your teeth.
Hi there. I saw your original, longer comment before you deleted it (I have no idea what Smile Club is, by the way), but this is worth saying as you're not the only one who has suggested I got veneers: Firstly: I did not get veneers, these are my own teeth and have never been whitened. I've never smoked which probably helps. Secondly: You can see my entire Invisalign journey across more than 20 videos in my video diary. If I did get veneers, you would see a sudden, dramatic change in one of them. Instead you can see the same teeth gradually filed and moved into correct position. My teeth were given interproximal reduction (filing the edges of them) which made them slightly narrower, in order to fit everything in my crowded mouth. Concerning your original, deleted comment, my orthodontist is Dr Graham Gardner. It would be madness to try and move teeth as badly misaligned as mine without seeing a qualified orthodontist. I feel I should point out that you would have learned pretty much all of this from watching this video properly, and definitely from watching the others in my video diary. I appreciate the results are remarkable and almost too good to be true, but it cost several thousand pounds, and the results are only this good because I did what I was instructed to do. My teeth just prove that Invisalign can work wonders if you pay the money and do what you're told to do.
So Invisalign made space for the 2 top teeth to sit normally without pulling any teeth ? Almost wanna say tbis is a promotion from a actor. Do they look like veneers yes very much so. They are visibly whiter. What ever though he fixed his teeth wether he is lying or not and they look better.
Your teeth before you had them fixed look a lot like mine do now! My orthodontist told me that he didn’t think I would like the overbite that I would end up with. But I think your teeth and smile are beautiful and your overbite is not much at all! I really wish I could do this!
You are the true testimony. I’m sick of women who have very good smiles doing videos as if they were so bad. Yours required it. Thanks for documenting the journey
People got money to pay for themselves And then say omg i am happy y get it done, ! If that makes y then help poor to have it done too... they cant offer offer a meal for a day
@@Righteous_Cal101 how do you know the poor is always poor? Or the homeless is always homeless? Almost everyone becomes broke at some point in their life
Wow! Firstly, what an incredibly well thought-out and informative video. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience in such detail. Secondly, you look effing incredible! your new smile has really accentuated all of your great features.
@@insomniac2909 She said secondly afterwards. Read it properly first before putting someone down for a mistake that could happen to anyone. Especially when there is no mistake at all😂
This is absolutely THE best review I've watched EVER. The amount of time put into it with clips before treatment made this wholesome. Thanks for creating such an in-depth review for others to make an educated, informed decision. Hats off to you, sir. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'm 31 and have finally decided to get my teeth straightened. This video has me excited for the process! It was extremely informative and I appreciated the depth you went into every aspect of it. Thank you!
I’m happy to say my Invisalign treatment is going phenomenal! My teeth were extremely crowded and I’ve had a few root canals done over the years which makes the tooth less ‘Movable’ for lack of a better term. As a result my dentist recommended wearing each tray for 2 weeks instead of 1. This turned my treatment into a two year process. I actually got use to them quickly and now prefer when they are in. My snacking has gone down dramatically because it’s bothersome to have to take them out and brush every time. My teeth and gums are so white because I brush and floss 3-4 times per day. I was about to go in for my final scan to see if I was finished my treatment however, this covid thing closed everything. The confidence I’ve gained is incredible and I love smiling big for photos now!
Thank you for putting yourself out there like that. You have helped so many people including myself. I am on day 3 and you made me feel more comfortable with what is happening than any other source including my orthodontist. Congratulations on your success and thanks again!
@@CatGoneCrazy I really love the kind of teeth previously( naturally), what are they called? I hv buck( outward) teeth, is it possible if can get the teeth like yours( which u have had earlier) ? Waiting for reply
I've never had straight teeth. I've also always hated the idea of braces! I've honestly been kinda scared to get Invisalign because of a few worst case scenario stories. However, after seeing this I'm very convinced that I can do it. You've given me hope that I can have a normal smile. I've always hated my smile and have only shown people my teeth when forced to. Now maybe I can smile like a normal person. Thank you so much this has changed my life!!!
I’m so excited! I’m 11 week into my treatment and the change is already stunning! Also my ortho has changed my aligners every week, so it varies person to person!
Your teeth look amazing. Congratulations, and thanks so much for your review. I just started Invisalign. I am 64 years old and this is my second go-round with braces - I had train tracks as a teenager. Over the years I stopped wearing my retainer - didn't know the teeth can regress, but they sure did. So make sure you protect your investment, and that beautiful smile - retention is for life!
That's such a lovely comment, thank you so much. They certainly do move, and I agree: retention is for life :P Very best of luck with your treatment, I hope you get back the perfect smile you clearly deserve.
TheRealCatGoneCrazy amazing transformation my friend. I went through Smile Direct Club to obtain a straighter smile and I experienced a similar painful yet amazing experience. Your smile is beautiful just like you.
Great review man, thanks! This basically sealed the deal for me, I booked my initial appointment the day after watching this and now got my first aligner appointment next week. Seriously, Invisalign should retrospectively cover your treatment costs or offer you something cool going forward, I'm sure I'm not the only customer that got sold on this review. Perhaps highlight some comments like this and get in touch with them 😉
Cheers Jason, that's great to hear! But sadly Invisalign have never cared about my video, they didn't even retweet me when I tagged them on Twitter. It's fine though, better to be completely impartial when reviewing something, and I definitely have no affiliation with them, I'm just a paying customer :)
I just reviewed this video and I’ve watched a lot of reviews. But this review is one of best reviews I’ve ever seen a person review about anything. ... ... REVIEW.
It’s 2019 and I’m on day 2 of my Invisalign journey! I’ve been in pain and was losing my excitement- but after finding this video and the more in-depth explanation of how it works really calmed me! Can’t wait for my before and after ❤️
Nikki Lewis hang in there I’m on day two of mine as well and ugh it’s going to take time to get use to but looking at this kid the discomfort is so worth it. 😊
Hi Justin. I'm re-watching this video now as I've started my first set of Invisalign aligners today, from an orthodontist in Chesterfield, and wanted to say that I appreciate you taking the time to make your videos. As a fellow Brit and also of an age not so typical for orthodontic treatment, I could relate to your situation and always felt like I had unfinished business with my teeth from my teens. Wish me luck!
@@-Pridebycreatons- it's going well so far, thanks. I'm close to a third of the way through the treatment, haven't had any pain from the aligners; just some discomfort having the attachments fitted to my teeth. I had to have a lower tooth removed to make room due to overcrowding, and I thought I might be paranoid about the gap but I actually find it quite fun, particularly as I know it won't last and is part of a bigger goal. It's helped that I work from home now so can take my aligners out and eat and then brush my teeth whenever I like and don't have to remember to take a toothbrush etc out with me unless I'm staying over somewhere. I do have elastics from lower canines to the upper back teeth which are probably the most annoying part, as they're fiddly and not very discreet, but I've gotten used to them and they're all part of the process for my teeth. When I watch other people's videos about invisalign, they can certainly seem to over dramatise the whole process. Maybe they're after more views or something, but it's not much of a hindrance or emotional roller coaster that it's sometimes made out to be. Just deal with it and get on with it, like we have to do with a lot of things in life.
I would like to sincerely thank you for making this video. I just finished a little over 2 years of treatment and today received my retainer. I'm amazed with my results and truly am a more confident person. Now, if we can just get done with the masks I can truly show of my new smile! Thank you again!!!
You have the most wonderful smile now and should be so proud of yourself for doing everything you have been told by your dentist. Just amazing. Thank you for a wonderful review
You look gorgeous!! I remember watching this video like 2 years ago before starting my invisalign journey. Now my teeth look perfect and I'm smiling confidently... :)
I am 52 and just got my Invisaligns on last week. You seem like a truly lovely person and of all the videos I watched during my initial struggles (and I feel like I watched them all) your videos are the most reassuring. I think because you have a calming voice and soothing demeanor. Thank you so much for sharing your personal journey and the emotional pain you endured due to the insensitivity of others. I really needed all the encouragement I got from listening to your experience because I've told no one that I did this. Thank you.
I don't usually watch videos that are longer than 3 minutes because who has time for that haha. I watched your entire video and it was worth it, very informative, nicely structured, straight to the point and your voice is soothing. Thank you for providing us with a realistic video .
Now when I lose a whole bunch of weight because of the aligners and people ask me what I did, I’ll just say the Invisalign diet😂 Edit: 1 year later and I need 15 more weeks of trays due to quarantine shifting my teeth. Didn’t really lose much weight last time so let’s try again🙈
@@jaek_898 I decided to use my OLD trays to eat with (use wk 4 trays to eat with while currently wearing wk5 trays) as I found it uncomfortable to eat also rushing food in the limited time frame. Hope this helps x
@@arynwendt9440 I started mine 6 days ago and when I do eat I feel like it's a race. I put my phone stopwatch on to time how long I have the aligners off throughout the day. .Eating isn't enjoyable.Sometimes I'll just have coffee in the morning...(20 min.) and not eat anything till dinner so I can relax and eat without feeling like I'm rushing..Oh how fun but I am looking forward to the results.I enjoy the chewies..they keep my mouth busy. Also, drinking more water which is good.
you're one of the 1st videos I looked at when deciding on getting invisaligns. Your teeth are amazing I just uploading my 1st video today about my journey
Kreeative Beauty Happy to have helped :) I’m surprised they made it last a year when your teeth are pretty much straight anyway. I hope you didn’t have to pay $4-5k! But I wish you well for your wedding and the rest of your journey. Good luck :)
I’m currently 13 months into ceramic braces..a lot is totally relatable, I even turned down a breakfast from my boss in the early days because of the pain. I’m 34 now and I can’t wait to walk around with a smile, if anyone reading this is in two minds about getting braces, go do it. Great video.
@@kindofanmol I don’t know too much about Invisalign but I’ve had no issues with ceramic on top metal on bottom. Ask for light blue bands instead of clear, then they don’t go a funny colour and you can eat what you like.
@@kindofanmol If you get clear bands they tend to go a yellow colour due to ingredients in some foods. I choose a light blue colour band and they don’t change coulour. You can choose any colour band you like everytime you go. I’d just go for it and they will explain all this to you.
Just wanted to say this video helped me make the jump 18 months ago. It's been a long road but I finally get my retainers in a week or so and I'm so incredibly happy with my teeth I rarely think about them anymore and I smile all the time.
This is probably the best informed review I've seen. I have gapped teeth and I'm so self conscious of them. I too get reactions you used to get where people always look at my mouth when talking to me. You've made me really excited to get them. Your teeth looks amazing and the result gives me hope. Thank you ☺
I'm on my first week of my Invisalign treatment and your video gave me hope 😅 it hurts a lot, taking the aligners out is painful, so I eat less often just not to take them out, no snacks or even hot drinks during the day apart from meal times. It is something hard to get used to. Now I'm searching for videos that will help me stay motivated and prove it was a good decision to start the treatment, so thank you for this review!
I have watched several videos on Invisalign treatment and this was one of the best - if not THE best - personal experience videos. So glad to view your amazing results. Although I have a pretty good set of teeth at first glance, I have a bite issue. I start my treatment in a few weeks… I can’t wait 😊
You won’t regret getting Invisalign! Justin is the best authority on RU-vid regarding just about all aspects of this process… I have an orthodontist who barely communicates so I’ve had to get nearly all my info from the internet. I will have to have a total of 55 aligners and am on tray 31 now. I’m so glad he has shared all his knowledge and experiences with the world in this way. It has kept me going during this long journey! ❤
The difference on the before and after is outstanding. It makes such a difference, plus confidence wise I guess too. I can't wait to sort mine out. Thanks for the review
Day 1 of 46 Trays today. The pain is fine apart from taking out and putting in the trays around meals. Thanks for putting out the videos, your end result is beautiful!
I'm having invisalign fitted in a week. Same problem I seriously lack confidence and smiling is just something I'm embarrassed to do because of my teeth. Also have pain and discomfort for years that adds to my lack of confidence. The results look amazing and I'm excited. Happy for you as well.
This was an awesome video! The amount of information, questions, and concerns you covered were perfect. I'm so happy for you and your teeth look absolutely amazing!
I'm on Day 3 and this video has been so motivational and inspiring. I love the conversational style of this video. I can't fault the delivery and content. I've been told I'll need these for about 18 months (which I was fine with) and after watching your video, I'm more excited about the end result. And I hear you on the snacking side of things. You just mentally walk yourself through the hassle of taking them out, the discomfort of eating (teeth are sore and sensitive at the moment), having to brush your teeth and aligners and then putting them back in. So you're right - you just skip the dang snack. And look forward to your 3 square meals a day. I'm also in the process of losing a bit of COVID-weight (working from home for 7 months) and am pretty happy to know these will aid me in with the remining 4 kilos I have set myself to lose. Thank you for your generosity and time in sharing your journey :)
You seem so precious in your “before “ clips but you seem much more confident now, so that’s a beautiful thing to see. I also came across this video randomly 💕
Oh my gosh... What a drastic change!! I'm actually going to make an appointment tomorrow. Thank you for this video! I'm now much more comfortable lol!! You have a beautiful smile, I'm soo excited to get mine fixed!!!
I'm 56 years old and I have always hated by teeth- now I'm 30 days from completing my treatment and I couldn't be happier. My teeth are completely changed and the process only took about 10 months for me. My orthodontist attributed this to the fact I have been using the aligners for about 22 hours a day and using my chewy consistently- this will make a huge difference in the length of time it will take for your new teeth. The treatment is a bit expensive ($6,000) but my insurance covered half and the rest I paid in installments, which made it quite painless financially speaking. The whole process has been great. BTW- Snacking is the reason most people are overweight- nobody needs to snack. Two meals a day should be plenty for an adult.
I can usually tell when someone has had braces because their teeth just look a lil different to me, even yrs after they got them off. With Invisilign apparently, looking at your teeth and many others, the teeth look like natural like you haven't had anything done. This is great bc my son is in need of either braces or these.
It was this video that made me get invisalign and I just finished yesterday. Well worth the investment. I'm sure there are others who've been inspired by this man!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REVIEW !! I was so close to stopping my treatment , only after my first week .. but your transformation is beautiful !! Definitely an inspiration to keep mine in . Thank you !! Your smile is gorgeous !! 😍
I had regular braces before for 5 years. My previous ortho messed up my retainers and they never fit right. I didn’t want to go through that again so I got Invisalign. I’m on week two now and it hurts much more than regular braces. My ortho has me changing my tray every 7 days and I’ll be done with my whole treatment in 2 months. ( my teeth aren’t very bad, since I’ve had braces before.) I’ve definitely lost weight already since it’s hurting for about 6 days then I change day 7, so it doesn’t leave me much time to want to chew anything.
Every 7 days sounds strange. The point of changing every 2 weeks is because you don't want to move them two fast. You can lose structural stability. I would be skeptical of an ortho with that kind of plan. My ortho is an invisalign specialist.
Yes to this! My parents invested 12000.- for my teeth when i was young just for the dentist to mess up, making me quit in the middle of the process. Its now 12 years later and i finally want to get them fixed. Got my wisdom teeth removed last October and December which hurt a lot but i look forward to getting started now 😁
I am getting Invisalign braces in a couple of weeks. Your video was wonderful and has prepared me for this experience. I have wanted to get my teeth straightened since I was a child as well. I am 59 in February. Thank you. Greetings from Australia.😀👋🇦🇺
Greetings from England! You're going to be so pleased you went for it. I'm really happy to hear my video helped you. Very best of luck with your Invisalign treatment :)
"Invisalign diet" I love it! In fact I am counting on it! Haha. Just got mine yesterday. Top only. I am older than you and had a front tooth removed 6 months ago. They filled in the missing tooth in the tray which is soo much better than the flipper I've been wearing. I have 10 of those enamel pyramid buttons. Much more comfortable with the trays on than off. Not to mention how difficult it is to actually take the tray off. It feels like it is pulling my teeth out. Also I went straight from the Orthodontist to Wal mart to buy some wax. It only took a few minutes to realize the top of the plastic edges were definitely going to be a problem. The wax took care of it though. I may have to try filing the rough spots like you said. Anyway, thanks for the review and your smile is absolutely beautiful! Cheers!
Glad to have helped! And yes, if you file them down, you won't need the wax. I didn't! I have a video showing how to take them out painlessly, though with that many attachments, it isn't going to be easy. Fortunately it will get easier, you're in the hardest stage right now. I am surprised they gave you the attachments straight away, usually they give two trays without them so you can get used to them. But well done, sounds like it's going to be a massive benefit for you! Good luck :)
When you mentioned 'snack" and 'invisalign diet" i almost cried and laughed. I will lose weight during my process but i can afford to since i just had a baby. Woohoo!!! Thanks for wanting a better smile ;-)
On the upside, there’s a great side effect to wearing invisilgn or clear retainers is that most people lose weigh, because it is so inconvenient to remove to eat or drink anything sugary and dark, basically its a blessing in disguise!!!! If u overweight you will lose weight!!!’
@@DenaStrawberry it will prevent you. You should wear them 22 hours per day, you cant snack and have little time to eat, and you need to brush immediately to wear them back
I thought I would be able to eat the same too before I got them. Not wearing them for 22 hours of the day can prolong the treatment period. Plus, the trays hurt so bad sometimes that I will not take them out to eat. I just take a nap sometimes.
I’m getting my slingers on Monday!!! This video makes me so excited! If I were you, I wouldn’t stop smiling your teeth look FABULOUS!! Your doc did her job!!!!!
Great review. Very thorough and honest. 👍🏼 I had braces from age 11-14 many years ago. Hated them and never smiled for pictures until I got them off. Then I couldn’t stop smiling! 😁 My teeth have shifted a lot over the years and I’ve often wondered about re-straightening them. I might do it with Invisalign. Btw your teeth look great, but it’s your personality that really shines. 😊
Your teeth looks super duper incredible!! I have traditional braces, and I sometimes contemplate if I went the other route and had Invisalign instead. Watching your review reassured me that it wouldn't matter as long as I met the same result. They both do the same thing but do it in a different form. They both go through the same pains and struggles. The only difference is Invisalign has the option of removing them at your convenience, while traditional braces are stuck on the teeth. For me, I wouldn't have chosen different if I had the option to switch. I’d rather not worry about removing them for meals and for cleaning them after every meal. With traditional braces, I can do all that in one setting. Thank you for the awesome review! Appreciate the authenticity and deep detailed information.
You're welcome! And yes, both methods get great results, so it doesn't matter which one you get. Has to be right for you. Very best of luck with it, hope you get awesome results too :)
Thank you. I had my first tray for 5 days. I was pulling them from the inside and my teeth hurts so bad. Plus it took 15 minutes to get them out lol. Your treatment worked insanely good. Congrats
Ahhh the way you spoke about how much happier you are made me so excited! I just started my invisalign last week, and now I'm watching all the videos. My teeth are pretty horrendous. They did have to pull some which was... not fun... but there was no other option for me, they're starting me at changing the trays every week and I'm supposed to have 60 trays! So far I haven't seen anyone on RU-vid with that many. So yeah... my teeth are pretty bad, and I can't wait to not feel embarrassed to smile or talk to people anymore. Nobody should be afraid to smile, it's such a horrible feeling.
That's lovely :) Incidentally, I would have needed 60 trays if I'd had extractions, but I agree, that is a lot. I think that's about as many as they do. And you're absolutely right - everyone should smile with confidence! Very best of luck with your treatment :)
Hey, I got an advertisement in the mail from a local dentist office. On the card Invisalign was listed as an option to braces. Did a search and found your review. My 18 year old son needs and wants his teeth fixed due to a serious overbite. I'll let him watch your video to decide which one he wants. keep smiling, God bless you! Thanks.
I just started my Invisalign 3 days ago and that sharp area that was cutting your tongue is exactly what I had. Filed it down and added a small amount of orthodontic wax (super cheap stuff) and now theres no pain at all. Also, I'm not sure if it was just me, but the first few days (not so much today), I had so much saliva it was annoying to talk! Atleast it goes away after a few days. Your progress looks amazing. 46 Weeks out for me and mine should be as perfect as yours. Congrats!
Jellytime__ Ah thanks! And yeah, the amount of saliva is crazy at first, but like you say it does get better. Well done for filing down the sharp bit - catch it as soon as you feel a new tray rub and you won’t get any more sores. Very best of luck!
Impressive transformation! Thanks for your review and your diary, I'm 50 years old, male with a mild case and I'm starting week 2 of tray 1/27. Still have a lot to go but I have a lot of hope and can't wait to see the end result!
Your teeth are so beautiful! This makes me so excited. I feel like mine are similar to how yours were and I'm maybe having my clin check tomorrow. I can't wait to see what mine will look like after seeing how perfect yours are😀😀😀
I'm very excited! Also frustrated haha! My process has been very lengthy before I can even start Invisalign. I still had two baby teeth that needed removing before I start Invisalign. It's been a few months and they haven't grown enough to start Invisalign yet, boooo!:( I just had my appointment and now I have to have fixed braces just on the sides of my mouth to bring those teeth down for about 3 months and THEN I can start Invisalign haha! So I probably won't be in Invisalign until like July:( At least somethings finally happening, I had my first appointment last Summer! Knowing how perfect your teeth are though, are making the long wait worth while! :):)
Corrie Arnold Wow, that doesn't sound fun, Corrie, but like you say, it's going to be worth it come the end! The three months will go quickly, I'm sure. And after that you'll be able to see the computer simulation to show you exactly what your teeth are going to look like. That's going to be the most exciting part :D Good luck!
I just start my treatment with some reservations about the final result …. but after watching your video I change my mind complete and I am way more optimistic . 👍🏼👍🏼 Thank you and congratulations !!
I don’t usually comment on RU-vid videos but man, this is an amazing video! Very well explained and executed, I don’t think Ben know what your channel consists of but I have subscribed. I am very happy for you and your teeth transformation, I am about to complete my journey from standard braces to Invisalign and am looking forward to getting to the stage you are at. Cheers!
I’m on my forth tray, started in December and still continuing. The gap between my two teeth on the top is gone. But I still need a few more I THINK (I’m not sure). It can be painful but trust me, after 2-3 days the pain goes away and you can see the difference. It’s worth it and it’s less painful than regular braces because u can take the Invisalign trays out, you know.
Hi Justin. David here also in the UK. I love your video. I started my journey 5 weeks ago. I am on tray 3 of 20. Just now starting to see movement. I'm also having 2 implants at the end of the process for 2 rear back teeth which should not have been extracted some years ago and composite bonding too as a little reward at the end. I've wanted it for at least 20 years but here I am at 46 and going for it. The only down side for me so far has been a headache for a brief period after switching trays and a slight cough which thankfully has now eased up. Thank you for your amazing encouraging review. Your smile is a 10 🔥
@@davidbosquette2940 Hi David - 46 is a great age to go for it mate! Sorry to hear about the headache and cough, but I’m sure that’ll all subside soon. So informative and useful, thank you so much!! I'm 34 too and have finally had enough of hating my teeth. I have my invisalign appointment in 3 days and you've answered all my questions hehe 🤗
I have watched your video years ago and was very inspired but didn't want to deal with braces yet, today I finally started the treatment so I came back here to thank you for this amazing informative video
