I decided to see how powerful the shock collar for an invisible dog fence is. ====================================================== SportDOG In-Ground Fence: amzn.to/2HtDYlL Website: WhiteDogLife.com
I really appreciate the testing and the slight comedy in this video. I recently just purchased an in-ground fence for my American Bully (all muscle power house dog) for his ability to get his daily exercise, but safely! So thank you for being a guinea pig for us dog parents! I have more of an idea on what he'll expect as he's trained! TY
I like that you tried it on a higher level. And I like that you tried the electric fence too. Shoot if animals have to do it then why don't we try what they have to go through. You definitely made me see that shock collars maybe aren't as bad as I thought... 😊thanks
THE ONLY SUREST WAY TO KNOW IT WORKS PROPERLY ❤😂🎉 ONLY YOU ARE THE MOST HONLRABLE OWNER OF A HAPPY DOG AND STAND A LITTLE TALLER THAN THE NEXT NEIGHBOR😅
Thanks for the walk thru on how to hook up a dog fence what brand and model do you use I have a border lab mix and she runs looking for a fence that is good and works
Been using inground fence for over 10 years. I too tested the collars on myself. ( level 5 will contain a horse I'm certain of it) + No way in hell a human could stand it to their throat like a pet. 110 lb pitt and a 130 lb pitt, males, stubborn has a k9 gets, + level 3 + a 30 ft range to the wire totaling 60 ft wide swath of " INSTANT SHUTDOWN " 1 dog thought he was going to be tough and charge it at 20 ft swath, and got through it. so.. ( no increase of power) just widened to 60' and it drops his big ass like a sack of potatoes and he lays down in submission ( the shock induced screaming or lack there of was tough to hear/witness, "but hey, I said stay in the GD yard" ).. after 30s it stops shocking the dog ( built in safety) and he scurried back in the yard. It only took once. >>>now the boundary width is only 6 feet. (they don't want any more) I swear by these systems, only there is a catch,,, you have to know how to use them properly. And petsafe transmitters are cheap junk ( have 4 bad ones hoping they will give me one on the house if I trade in enough dead ones. Higher priced brands of transmitter have the same problems.. ( lightening kills all cool things and surge protectors on the loop for these things are nearly worthless). Only way to make any inground transmitter last the test of time is to unplug them completely during storms otherwise it is a gamble. ( you have a huge antenna around the property! ) + These things are a gift from God if you take the time to learn them and not torture a pet in the process(train them as long as it takes... the recommended 30 days and remove the flags is garbage, every pet is different), COLLAR MUST BE TIGHT ENOUGH TO CONTACT SKIN AND ALSO TIGHT ENOUGH THEY CANNOT TURTLE NECK OUT AND DROP THE PRONGS FROM THEIR SKIN, and keep a close eye on the transmitters, they also weaken over time shortening the boundary width, and no rechargeable collars, 9v batteries only, have a spare. I keep some flags out year round for 1 dog, and mainly to warn criminals ( step past those flags and you might die ).+
On the electric fence, your shoes act as an insulator so you won’t get the full effect. When I was a kid, I didn’t think the fence was working (because I had tennis shoes on with thick rubber soles) despite my dad assuring me it was so he finally told me to hold the fence with my left hand and put my right hand on the ground. Let’s just say, it was definitely working. 😆 That shock felt like it knocked my teeth out.
I worked at a doggie daycare decades ago where they used anti bark shock collars. They would occasionally go off in my hand if i was carrying them and they knocked together. I noticed they would go off sometimes when a dog wasn't barking. So I tested them out on myself. Is it going to kill you no. Does it hurt? Depends on your pain tolerance. I'd say it's more highly uncomfortable. Dogs have a higher pain tolerance than we do. That said, I decided to take the batteries out of them and train the dogs to stop barking. No I didn't tell my boss but she didn't tell her clients that she used shock collars on their dogs either. So I didn't feel too bad. Later I became a dog trainer. I am retired now but still train German Shorthair Pointers for fun never ever using shock collars. They're just the laziest way to train an animal imo
lol your reactions are hilarious! you're in pain yet you keep doing it.. sadist much? lmao. based on your video I decided I could not put my dog through that.
Hey bud, let’s save the dislikes for people who actually deserve it. This is solid content that appeals to a mature audience; Great quality and no time wasting filler. We should celebrate this guy
