Invoxia Motorcycle GPS Tracker Review 

I have an Invoxia GPS tracker for my BMW G310GS motorcycle and it's great. Easy to use, reliable, easy to conceal, the SIM card is already installed and pre-loaded, and I wired mine to charge while I'm riding and the tracker still works months after I've ridden.

I have a device that uses the same technology and it helped me get a $2000 trailer back that someone stole in the middle of the night. The police were able to go directly to the property where the trailer had been stashed in a matter of a couple of hours from the time it was stolen. Definitely worth the cost and subscription fees in my opinion!!

Thanks. That is probably the device I am looking for. Normally I am not big on youtubers advertising stuff, since most of it is BS at best and will even screw you in some cases. But your opinion and recommendations have been solid so far. And I really need a tracking device on my bike for the sake of my sanity if nothing else. After walking out of a shop and finding my bike in a company of 2 men who were about to try to lift the front wheel and cart it away (disk lock was on), my paranoia on a 1-10 scale went somewhere around 34. So, my shopping list included a tracker, an anchor for my garage, a super tough chain with a lock, and a new disk lock with an alarm. F9 covered most of this stuff and a solid, but not expensive tracker is all I am looking for. This fits the bill perfectly.

This device sounds like it would be great for a high-end bicycle. I have a Trek E-Bike and was doing some research on GPS trackers. The Invoxia looks like my go-to product.

$129 and after the first year, the subscription is $39.90. Not sure why this was treated as super secret info, since it is what all of us want to know.

I just bought one of these with a 3 year plan for 35 total. Usually it's probably about 170. Yearly subscription renewal plans are now 39.95 i don't know why they didn't make it just a big USB stick, you could plug right into your computer, with a memory and your trip track data saved on it instead of sent across the data network. Also, they could of made the battery bigger. I'm not exactly sure the best place to hide it. Under the passenger seat seems the best place, but that's also the first piece to be removed when a bike is stolen so... it's kind of a real life dilemma where to hide it. If you stuff it under the tank or metal, that's going to dimminish your cell signal. I've seen others stuffed in the handle bar ends, so I guess maybe it's not as big of a deal as I think. Now that I think of it, the best place might be to get a sissy bar passenger backrest and hide it in there. That thing sticks up like a big antenna would in the clear open air. I'd really like to see some Alexa integration with a skill. So you could tell Alexa when to wake it up, and when to put it back into standby mode... for when you walk out the door, or arrive back home.

I wanted to use it for my motorbike. I stopped using it, as I discovered that it loses communication as soon as it moves faster then approx 40 Mls, or 60km/h. Invoxia confirmed this to be according specifications. This is because it uses Sigfox / LoRa network to communicate. Only usable for anything that won`t go any faster...... Maybe for a bicycle... (as long as it isn`t hault on a car or truck after being stolen....

I just checked and this is available in England for £98 with the 3 year plan included, that's not too bad. In the past I had one of those Bike Trac (Road Angel) things with the call centre support and all that jazz and it was a bit of a pain, if you didn't turn on the bike to move it you'd get a call to say your bike has been stolen. Plus if you were too enthusiastic in the twisties your other half would get a text to say you've fallen off. If your bike legitamitely gets stolen you get locked out of GPS tracking, only the police can see it, to prevent people getting hurt I guess. Ride tracking was good tho, but it was too much money and too much hassle overall so I like this one.

Deciding between this and the Monimoto tracker. I like that the Invoxia has a smaller form factor and not needing a separate fob like the Monimoto is a plus. You may have just tipped the scales in Invoxia's favor, at least for me. Thanks! EDIT: Just looked through the reviews on Amazon, seems like it's really hit or miss with functionality. Since it's Amazon, worst case is return it.

How do you make it manually ping instead of waiting?

I bought a 1800 ebike on August 19th, it arrived august 31st and was stolen September 14th, lol. Wish I saw this sooner.

how sensitive is the motion sensor capability? For instance will it detect if someone simply removes the cover or touches the bike?

Your bike looks great! Is this a 2016 build? I am considering getting a used one, but not sure what year. I heard the big update was 2016 ? I now have a partner and we both like a comfortable seat to ride for 4 to 5 hours without butt pain. Is Yamaha FJR more affordable in USA? 2016 sell here in Germany for 12000 € with 25000 miiles on it and 2 to 3 owners. Do you know any problems the bike can make if older?

hello! do you discharge the motorcycle battery when you do not start the engine for a week? after he discharged my battery after a week.

Would you recommend maybe getting this and also a dummy tracker??! Like to put in a more obvious spot? That way if they look for one and they find the fake tracker maybe they won’t bother to keep looking and you can track the bike for sure with the tracker still being on the bike just in case if someone does take it. I would hate to buy one and then they just find it and take it off you know? Anyone have any dummy trackers to recommend as well btw?

Read before you purchase! It's possible at the time of most of these reviews on the Invoxia GPS 2 years ago that service was better but not the case now. Wasted over $100 bucks for something that stays dead in a kitchen drawer. If you select updates every 5 minutes you will need to charge in less than a week. Although it's cute and small, there's serious inadequacies. I'm in Houston Texas and this thing still can't connect or when it does it's sporadic. In NO way would you be able to track a bike with such delay and lack of true real time tracking. They won't let you return it once you figure out how bad this product is. Save yourself time and money and research other gps. I ended up spending another $$$ for a MoniMoto. Worked great out the box with NO charging for 1-2 years, no monthly fees until 2 years, TRUE real time tracking...no lines and dots. You can actually view images of where the gps is. I'll post updates as needed for this product but I'm very pleased, especially with notification in seconds not minutes!

Can i use a sim card from my country and would it still work? If i do so, do i still have to pay for the annual subscription service?

how does it differentiate between you moving the bike or a thief? If you take the bike for a ride, wouldn't you get a bunch of notifications? You have to manually put it out of standby mode everytime I ride and remember to put it back on when Im done?

good review. i would buy it if i needed it. except for england we heve raerly a motorcycle theft in Europe. motorcycle riders are still looked at as a 1% and nobody will even tutch a bike. if people see a tatoo on you while next to a bike they wil make a D loop or walk very uncofortly past you. it always makes me smille on how people still are prejudice around here. in the big cities it slowly starts to change.

I had my bike stolen from my garage last night so standby mode would be a waste of money. So my point is don’t assume no one can get into your garage they obviously can because mine was closed.

And I spent the extra $7 bucks to get the 2 year included plan.

The Apple AirTag would do this as it uses other AirTags to let you know where it is and I think battery lasts a year.

Great review. I have a Tracki. I really like it. It has a web browser interface in addition to a mobile app. It's highly configurable if you'd like to do so. The browser interface has some nice reporting features that would look terribly crowded on a mobile app. The Tracki doesn't have a bump/tip alert that would be nice to have. If I think about it, a bump/tip alert doesn't do much for me. It can't prevent stupidity. I'd rather have a nice web browser interface instead.

Without a key fob, how does the Invoxia know that you're on your bike (or transporting it on your trailer)?

The MONIMOTO tracker is more specially an Antitheft Tracker as it works in conjunction with a keyring fob...so it the bike moves with the fob nearby it alerts and starts tracking. It's battery lasts for a year, and coverage is worldwide for $42/year. It's very rugged/waterproof.

Europeans, PLEASE be aware, as I nearly made the mistake myself. Invoxia uses the 4G network ONLY in the US. The European version uses sigfox which is basically useless in many countries and cities. That's why there is a difference in the price between the US and the EU version of the device.

Hard to get started.

So....what's your connection to the mfgr? Your video comes across as very end-user/happy-customer, but the amazon page has your picture everywhere and EVERY video for the product is basically just this one all diced up. I was fairly psyched, but now just feel misled. Should have been more up front on the data cost too. It's actually not a bad price, but just for completeness and, as several have said below, people want to know not just the features but how much something costs. Yes, prices change over time (we're all pretty acutely aware of that by now) and you want your video to stay current, but you should include some price info.

You could probably wire a USB charger up to your bike so that it charges while the bike is running. Then you never have to take it off or think about it very often. You just need to make sure you plug your bike in though haha.

This only pings at a minimum of 5 minutes. I'd be happier with 5 seconds which is why I am choosing a different tracker for my bike. Other than that, it is a great tracker.

I've been testing this, and I don't think it works at all. It doesn't use cellular, it uses the Helium IOT network, which just does not exist anywhere. If you have your smart phone on and carrying it with you while you drive, you will be fooled and you will think it's working... because it's connecting to your phone in your pocketvia bluetooth, and uploading the data points to the app and up to the cloud. But if your vehicle is stolen, your smart phone is going to be nowhere near around and totally out of bluetooth range. To test and confirm I'm not talking shlt, switch off your phone and drive around for a day, and you will find, it sends no GPS location data points up to the network and to the app at all.... because the the Helium IOT network cratered and does not exist anywhere, despite their coverage map.

This doesn't work - at least not longer term. Since you gave a glowing review, how about a followup with some attention paid to all the problems so many people are having with this tracker? Right now the tracker is next to me and it shows a position in another city from over a week ago with no way to update it. The problems with this tracker are starting to show up all over from many people. If you give a good review then you also have a responsibility to check that what you say is valid.

Ive got 3 of these. One still works, two are only 6 months old and failing. Ive gone back and forth with "customer service" going on 5 weeks now via email. Clearly the battery is failing/defective and they STILL have me jumping thru hoops with troubleshooting this POS. Dont but this junk. Customer service is a joke.
