Dont know what’s happen but been on the first beta 18.1 for awhile not many issues and since yesterday nearly all apps are crashing not even scrolling just open for a few seconds then closes
If you want to really see how much Siri's voice has changed, you should ask it to tell a story. I asked, and it was much different where you can tell when Siri is exclaiming and asking questions.
Oddly, my Mac mini m2 has 15.1 with Apple Intelligence & Siri enabled, but my new 15 pro max can't see 18.1. Perhaps it's because it's so new and needs some time to be on Apples radar?
That is why I think they are better than most. They are out of the way taking care of tasks you would normally have to do yourself. The best features in AI are not something you even think are there.
@@zollotech I will call it groundbreaking when Siri is replaced with GPT 4o with both the vocalization it has and ability to understand what’s happening when camera is on, and ability to view and understand what’s happening on the screen. Not really interested in how they have decided to integrate GPT.

I’m on iOS beta 18.1 and have a strange bug. My recently/frequently used emojis are set to default ones, whoever I use an emoji/change skin tone etc. it will not save. I have recent my keyboard settings and also deleted and reinstalled emoji keyboard but still does the same. Anyone else having this issue?
I’m sure the metrics don’t lie Aaron, but please be mindful of the clickbait titles and how it impacts your more diehard fans. I like your videos for how thorough and accurate they are, so when I see a title that doesn’t match, it leaves a sour taste. Don’t become like Max Tech!
They aren't clickbait if what is in the title is talked about in the video though. I know some think they are clickbait, but to me that means nothing in the video is what I say in the title. I have a chapter marker with the title name as well as talk about it specifically.

I have installed iOS 18 Public Beta profile however I do not see Apple Intelligence being available. I have an IPhone 15 Pro Max. Am I missing something ?
ios developer beta 4.5 has been the best update for my battery life. I would say 40% improvement. I am very impressed for the first time from a battery perspective on my 15PM.
You didn’t mention anything about the Siri Intelligence bug on CarPlay where it only fills half the screen on allot of manufacturers like Mercedes and BMW.
@@zollotech Mines a 2018 F36 BMW 3 series, I’ve seen RU-vidrs with Mercedes having the same issue as well. The glowing graphic around the edge does not go all the way around.

I’m on the latest iOS 18 public beta and I’m experiencing a bug that when I try to add a duplicate of an app icon to a separate screen it will remove the existing app icon once I’ve placed the new icon. Any existing duplicate icons work fine, it’s only if I try to place a new icon that the original icon is removed from wherever it was. Hope that explanation made sense. Anyone else experiencing this?
I just recently used message via satellite on an airplane in the US on a iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 18.1 beta 1. Works very well and is surprisingly fast. I have screenshots of the UI if you would like to add to a future video

Hello Aaron,I wanted to ask a question related to the downgrading from iOS 18 to 17. If I created a backup on iOS 18 latest beta,not 18.1 if I downgrade to 17 can I get that backup back when I install iOS 18 on public release?
No. You have to use a backup for iOS 17. However, if you use iCloud to sync everything with photos and messages, all of that will come over regardless.
I got over 8 hours on screen battery on my 15 Pro Max with 18.1 with 9% battery left. I have 100% battery too. My issues with 18.1 have been when I hit the symbols button on the keyboard it doesn't work. Sent Feedback to Apple. If I'm in landscape watching say RU-vid, after commercials the picture is just a small square in a corner. I have to move the phone up then back to landscape.
My 15 PM stopped letting me call my husband after I installed iOS 18. T Mobile can’t figure how to solve it on there end. I’ve already factory reset the phone.
I’m using IOS 18.1 Public Beta…it’s honestly running pretty smooth on my 1tb iPhone 14Pro. I don’t really have many issues! 😊 the only thing I think that happens really is when I’m playing a game (Double Down Casino) it runs a little hot 🥵
if you’re having issues persist that have been solved. Try doing a DFU restore if you don’t know what that is it’s very simple to find out how on RU-vid
I'm trying Apple Intelligence right now in Canada via changing regions and it seems to work really well on both MacBook Air M1 and my 15 Pro Max. What I'm really looking forward to is the ChatGPT integration obviously lol.
You can enable Apple Intelligence outside the US by changing the region and the language in any country outside the EU. Within the EU it only works on macOS but not on iOS or iPadOS (probably because the mac does not have to follow the DMA). There are ways to enable it in the EU but its a bit complicated (people have been sharing methods on Reddit)
4:08 - 4:12 That's not correct, Aaron. It can still try to correct it. It will just probably create worse outputs or corrections, because it wasn't trained on those use cases much! Just hit the "continue" field to make it suggest improvements on something like swear words. But generally speaking, less swear words often improve my way of life. So I recommend against using too many^^
AiOS 18 still doesn’t have native BitTorrent built into the system as personal private iCloud for backups, archiving and podcasts distribution. And no YTube technology shows are discussing this or even requesting Apple bring this missing tech functionality.
I really dislike how many of my apps look duller now after doing the update. Even to default iOS apps it did that too, while actually providing dark mode versions of third-party apps…
mine is not with EarPods,when I use Siri,The new One! in macOS 15.1 beta for AI it's distorting music, getting music stuttering and didn't reproduce the New Siri Sound
After updating to 17.6 from 17.3.1 on Wednesday, Friday the phone was still warming up a lot hoping that goes away today. Battery life feels only *slightly* better, a far cry from 10:46. Mine used the same amount of battery but only got to 5H5M of SOT before i was at 23% :\ before it would be 4H50M of SOT. On the plus side, the update fixed the volume/sliders and the wallpaper dimming glitch thankfully
I have been using ios 18.0 public beta on iPhone 13 pro and it has a bug with safari whenever I open safari after like 3 seconds it crashes. I have reported this to apple too. Does this happen to anyone else?
On iOS public beta 2 on 15 Pro Max so far only one issue one of my non Apple Apps crashes. Battery gets me through the day. Do I notify the app developer or does feed back app to apple allow me to report it to them ? Did not see the counter app in the list in the feed back app.
I will say one thing that I noticed about 18.1 and I’ve never noticed it before and I don’t know if they added it because I’m not part of the 18 development team. I work on 17 my AirPods are now simultaneously connecting to both my iPad and my iPhone at the same time and limiting my volume for some reason
The main reason I hate Apple Intelligence is that it’s made for so few iPhone users. They really force us to upgrade and although I also like money, the Apple way is almost criminal.

Great video Aaron so far on my iPhone 15 pro it’s been fine still running out battery if I don’t use it that much I have to charge it by the noon time it’s not good for me I like to charge before I go to sleep at night but oh well I guess it’s just what it is ❤😊
as always great stuff, i am running ios 18 beta and assigned the lock screen virtual button as translator and when it is invoked the new siri interface appears pretty cool graphic for those interested.
I'm on ios 18.1 now, battery life is worse and I had some animations bugs, restarted the phone and Siri was bugging out for a bit and even crashed a few apps. Works fine though, and the intelligence features are cool.
Any idea why ANNOUNCING of text messages have vanished. If you have AirPods on , it will say “new notifications “ but it won’t actually read them ? Has anyone else notice this ?
I haven’t heard of that one. They still seem to announce for me as well. I would try turning it off and back on, but Siri can do some strange things from time to time.

Honestly, iOS 18 hasn’t had too many bugs in it considering how early on it is. And while you may be correct in some ways, that’s why I pick what is mentioned repeatedly by different people so that their actual issues that seem to be repeatable.
No. They are two separate things. While Siri will utilize Apple intelligence, Siri is the voice assistant, while Apple intelligence is the AI integration.
Hello Aaron, thank you always for yout videos! I love the new SIri AI and all the features. I'm been having the same issues with the wifi and I'm doing what you suggest here in the video. I don't know if anyone who are using the ios17.6 can answer this question, Does anyone is having issues between Siri and Whatsapp? My friend has the 14 ProMax and she told me there's a glitch where Siri can't send a message to any of her contacts thru whatsapp, the response is "(name) doesn't have whatsapp enable" which is weird.. we try everything but at the end I told her to wait until a new update comes out, or switch her phone to a 15 Pro Max. I would appreciate if someone have this issue.
I guess it is difficult for you to verify/try out, but doing what you say about setting everything to US English does NOT allow Apple Intelligence on a device in EU. There is no way for this, unfortunately 8:16
It’s been confirmed by quite a few people that it works just fine as long as you change the region. A couple websites also have tutorials showing that it works.
I guess is because not all European countries are member of the European Community which is imposing specific rules. I guess they are using the GPS to set the location (not sure how to disable unless I create a faraday cage….)
Newest 18 beta (not 18.1) connects to my car, but won't play any audio. Play button on my phone just doesn't work while connected. iPhone 13. Anyone else having this issue?
I think it's pretty awesome considering this just the beginning. What we have so far nothing over the top just enough to get us started and im sure it be fine tuned as we move forward with AI
Updating to iOS 17.6 on my 14 Pro Max the camera seems to be a lot better. I haven’t heard anybody mention that. Everything looks more sharper the colors look more brighter in photos and videos and I know it’s not my eyes getting better because they’re 50 years old. 😂
I think they fixed the problem where when you took a photo without zooming first the photo just looked weirdly and not how it should look like (at least in my experience with 14 Pro Max what i noticed) but it’s not anymore so it’s fixed thankfully.
Not all CarPlay’s are the same, it looks like there is a slight dependency on the head unit itself, I’m running Pioneer SPH-DA250 and the surround on Siri doesn’t happen, also buttons within Google maps still doesn’t work only manual keyboard entry works and also has a habit of losing gps and Google maps shuts off at which point I have to manually navigate using my phone before it’ll work again BUT I have to leave my phone unlocked otherwise it shuts off again
It’s not dependent on the head unit as far as showing the new Siri animation. It’s 100% dependent on whether or not you have Apple intelligence enabled
Hello and greetings from the Netherlands. ] I installed Ipados 18.1 beta for developers on my iPad pro with M4, Changed the language and region to English and US, however got the message that Siri with AI is not available for my region. Guess the installer is looking where you bought the device. In my case that was obviously the Netherlands. (through a vpn doesn't work either) so that's too bad...just have to wait.
My top 3 android features that I’d like to see on iOS are split screen, pause button when recording videos and a number row on the keyboard. My list was bigger than that but iOS 18 brought in some nice stuff 😊
