Something that was worth noting is that because dslr booths require knowledge of the exposure triangle and iPad booths don't, iPad booths are better suited for those who don't necesarilly have a photography background. So, if your a beginner and just want to get into the business with a quick and easy plug and play solution, get the iPad booth. This exact thing happened to me, I wanted to get into the business, I thought to myself: how hard can it be? So, I purchased a dslr booth to capture the best images possible. Little did I know about the exposure triangle and how the settings need to be different depending on the lighting. Having other businesses to run, I don't have time to figure all that stuff out or train staff on it either. Moral of the story, buy the iPad booth if you don't have any experience and want to start making money right away!

Great comparison! The ipad pro is poised for some very significant upgrades on the next release in mid-2024. Will be curious to see if they include any major upgrades to the camera system/camera tech in 2024. Some big upgrades could potentially be very exciting for ipad photo booth owners.

Well explained, thank you 😊 Do you know how to use the dslr software? Is it similar to the one you use? I was watching your video in which you do a template on canva and transferred to your booth. Do you know if the way you export your file is the same way to export on dslr? Thank you

If you use salsa software for the guac booth for example, then absolutely! It comes down to what software you’re using. The great benefit to the salsa is that you’re able to use it for both iPad and dslr photo booths

@ownyourmomentco we have a selfie mirror. We are using the dslr software. I was just wondering if the way you transferred the template from canva is the same for the dslr software.

I’m not sure! I don’t have the dslr software but I’m sure the measurements would be very similar. It’s worth a try!

Everyone’s business is going to be different! It took me two weeks to get my first booking and then 3 months before I saw a return on my investment and then about 5 months I went full time

There are other Ipad photobooth stands out there that are cheaper than the typical salsa one that you use and recommend. Any drawbacks with the cheaper one to start out or would you recommend the salsa?

I think it depends on what you value. With salsa you have a ton of support, education, and marketing materials. They will even help you with strategy for your business. To me, that was hands down worth it.
