What I don’t understand is that there are iPadOS 18 compatible ipads that cant fix your hand writing but all iPadOS 18 compatible iPads can do math notes which generates an answer with a handwriting similar to yours.
@@MrSeanroberts1969 because if I had the setting to limit my battery to 80% the battery would basically last forever and it would degrade significantly slower. I have my iPad plugged in most of the time so when I unplug it the battery has degraded a lot because it is constantly being overcharged
@@MrSeanroberts1969 Limit 80% is very important for people who charge their iPad all the time, such as people who use their iPad instead of a computer. If you don't have this feature, your iPad will be fully charged to 100 all the time, which results in the battery deteriorating very quickly. Having the 80% limit feature allows us to plug in at any time and play with the machine using power directly from the adapter, not through the battery, so you don't have to be afraid that the battery will overload.
Besides as Aaron says all other iPads will get basic updates I don’t see Developers Beta as of yet to my iPad pro 10.5, 2017. It should be there minus advanced features. (I have subscribed to developer betas)
That is actually stupid how the Pro doesn’t support iPadOS 18 yet the 7 does even though I’m not an iPad user. The Pro literally has better specs aswell
I dont understand that iPad pro 12.9 4th gen with face id and A12Z processor can’t run eye tracking but iPad Air 3rd gen with A12 can run that. How’s that possible?? Is A12 more powerful than A12Z? Even though pro one has face id sensors it can’t run..?😡😡
Planned obsolescence. It is weird I would have thought they want to hold on your apple device as long as possible to expand your ecosystem, or a supercheap way for a new user to get into the ecosystem with a used product. I know they brought the calculator to the iPads now and that’s awesome, but can you use the calculator while you’re using a different app at the same time or does the calculator have to be fullscreen all the time?
I upgraded from my iPad 5th gen (2017) to the Latest iPad Pro M4 13” and Im glad to see a big improvement from speed, screen, everything. The one thing I didn’t like is that it’s super thin because Im afraid that it would break/bend easily. But I’m really happy to see iOS 18 on my new iPad. My Last iPad only supported iOS 16 and it was slowing down alot and battery health is bad. I did spend a lot for the new iPad but I think it’s worth it
When Apple showed off Math Notes there was no "solve" button, it just solved automatically. Is the button just a part of the beta or will that be how it always works? That's definitely not as smooth as how Apple claimed it would be.

Yeah, same. Kind of sucks that my iPad ninth generation won’t be supported with Apple intelligence, but at least my 15 probably! I’m running the rest of iPadOS 18 right now and it’s great. I’m sure the processor could handle it but it is what it is.

I have the iPad 10th generation, I still will never forgive apple for not letting it be compatible with Apple Intelligence😤 But atleast apple intelligence is compatible with my m1 macbook 😭

I have an iPad Air (4th Gen) with the A14 Bionic and I will be doing the iPadOS 18 Public Beta when it becomes available and then the final version in the fall.
I’m using an iPad mini 7, because I like the size.. but absolutely not a fan of the fact that I’m missing tons of features all because it doesn’t have a M series chip. Steve Jobs famously liked small phones, and claimed no one would want to carry around a huge device.. Fast-forward a few years and now if you want a small device, you have to accept the fact that it’s going to be inferior and obsolete. Both the mini iPad and mini iPhone leave you missing features. 🤦🏽♂️

Yeah. Sucks. My 8th gen (2020) gets support, but only the basic features (fine)….which seems odd that my girlfriend’s 6th gen (2018)….which is just as capable will get zero iPadOS18 support at all. Basic iPadOS support for the sixth gen(2018) seems very doable. 🤷♂️

I thought if you put iPad Air M1 & M2 would be better understanding that all M series iPad Air will get the features instead of puting iPad Air 3rd gen and later.. It feels like iPad Air M1 is missing out or you could just put iPad Air 3rd gen or later..
The video's title is misleading. You included features that are available on all iPads, as you said yourself for each ("the good news is that this is available on all iPads), such as the calculator, live audio transcription, Safari features, Maps features, Home app features.
I updated to ipados 18 and I now I can't downgrade to the official ipados 17, every time I try to do with my computer the ipad is stuck in recovery mode and I need the specific Mac App just to exit the recovery mode. That's really really unfortunate for me. 😢😢

Not to be a pedant but the math notes thing… those are Arabic numerals (albeit within latin script) I know no-one will care (and likely be a tool about it) but it confused me for a moment anyway
The battery health thing is stupid because I think it make sure the device slowed down as it gets older. Then you have to get a new one that’s why I don’t like I’m glad my iPad doesn’t have it

My iPad 10.5 Pro has a home button so I guess I won’t get iOS 18 on my iPad Pro but I got the iOS 17 version on it now this is not fair for me not to get iOS 18 version 😢😢n I’m wondering if my mom iPhone 11 phone will get iOS 18 versions either bc it’s old too 😢😢
