iPhone 11 Battery Replacement 

I had to write out the steps for class and thought it might be helpful if I shared it. The recommended tools for this replacement are: 0.8mm Pentalobe screwdriver, 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver, Y-Type screwdriver, Standoff screwdriver, suction cup, plastic mediator(s), tweezers, spudger, and heat gun because the display is glued on. Steps (in order) to remove iPhone 11 battery 1. Turn off phone 2.Take 0.8mm Pentalobe Screwdriver and remove the two screws on either side of the charging port 3.Take any hairdryer and heat the surface display for one to two minutes. This will allow you to remove the display from the case 4.Take the suction cup to the bottom of the display and insert plastic mediator(s) into the phone's sides and loosen the display from the case 5.Once the display is loosened from the case, move the suction cup to the center of the phone and pull up. The iPhone 11 case opens up like a book in the right direction 6. Now you need to disconnect the battery cable. Under the cable of the display model, there are three screws you need to access, in order to access this you need to remove the five screws on the latch panel (above) to gain safe access to them 7.Once you have removed the screws and taken the top of the latch panel off you can remove the display cables 8.Remove the display and set it somewhere safe 9. Once this is done, remove the three screws on the 2nd metal panel and take the panel off and remove the battery cable Next, you will need to remove the taptic engine and speaker to do this you have to: 10.prepare to remove the taptic engine under the battery by removing the five screws 11.Once done with this remove the two screws to the far right where the speaker is 12.Take a hairdryer and warm the tape between the taptic engine and the speaker so it will be easier to remove the tape without damage 13. Next remove two more screws and remove the metal bracket 14. Take a standard 1.5mm Phillips Screwdriver and remove the two screws at the bottom near the speaker 15.Now remove the speaker after you’ve heated it with a hairdryer to loosen the glue that attaches the speaker to the phone 16.Now remove two screws from the taptic engine and remove the engine from the phone 17.Remove 6 adhesive tapes from under the battery. Using tweezers, pull the tape away from the battery very slowly until it’s all gone 18. Now, remove the battery. You’re done! Steps (in order) to put iPhone 11 back together: 1. Put six adhesive tape strips back down and secure the new battery to them 2. Put the taptic engine and speaker back in 3. Remove old silicone tape from the case and replace with new silicone tape 4. Connect the three display cables back to the mainboard then connect the battery cable and the small panel with three screws, then install the larger metal panel with 5 screws 5. Press the display case back against the case and press it on all sides, making sure it sticks to the silicone tape and is secure 6. Fasten the last two screws on either side of the charging port

I feel like removing all the pieces at the bottom of the battery are unnecessary. Can you explain why it's done? No new parts of the battery are exposed.

So I bent the old battery a bit and there was a bit of smoke and a fruity smell. I took the battery outside and opened the window in the room I was in for a bit. Am I gonna drop dead in an hour lol?

Thats it! I am SICK OF IPHONES!!! This is RIDICULOUS!!! How STUPID. All of this and for what??? A phone that, in my opinion, AIN'T ALL THAT and is WAY OVERPRICED! No place to plugin headphones, my square card reader if my "IPad" (which also sucks) goes down. You got to buy a whole set of tools and supplies, remove like 45 screws, metal connectors, tapes & gaskets just to replace a f@&king battery??? I am going back to a good old ANDROID! I have HATED this IPhone ever since I got it! There are SO MANY other things I hate about IPhones after owning one for the last year & a half. Talk about the fable of "The Emperor's New Clothes" (Okay, Okay.....Google it). THIS WAS THE LAST STRAW. Everyone thinks the IPhones are the bomb! I can think of another word though.
