Good review, i upgraded my phone from iPhone 7 plus to iPhone 13 .Earlier my 7 plus battery used to drain fast on normal LTE usage and within 4-5 hours of use i had to recharge again. I had replaced my 7 plus at an Apple authorised store so the battery was original. In a day i had to recharge the phone more than 2 times. Performance wise the 7 plus was very good. After upgrading to iPhone 13 with the same daily usage pattern at the end of the day i am battery level goes down to 55 % to 65 % which is great performance by the iPhone 13 and i only charge the phone every night. The battery life has been good on the 📱 13 . Even the quality of photos and videos are good on iPhone 13. Considering how experienced the Pro models are the performance of iPhone 13 is good.
I had the 7+ as well in 2017 or 2018. It was a great phone for sure. Loved the design and size of that phone. But yeah these new iPhones (including the 12) were pretty good with battery compared to the older iPhones. The 7plus used to have pretty solid battery life when I first had it as well but obviously it got worse over time.
Original, raw, and real. Very good content. Thank you for putting this out there for those who don't want to invest 1100 to $1,600 on a phone. This will give many people some confidence that the 13 is plenty enough for most people.
Wow amazing battery life That was fun to tag along for the work day. Maybe you can do a battery test day in the life waking in the city on your day off like you did before with the apple MagSafe charger if my memory serves me correctly
Yeah I’m surprised at the battery life. My old iPhone 12 didn’t last this long unfortunately and always needed to be topped. Sounds like a great idea ! I’ll keep that for a future video. Maybe in the update video. I’m planning another travel before the year ends and that might be a good idea ! Stay tuned :)
I really appreciate your effort brother. I am a droid user and I use one plus 7 as I am a heavy user I was looking at 9pro as it charges faster but if 13 last this good on LTE then I need to reconsider 😂
I was connected to lte for 99 percent of the video and only had wifi for the last bit when I got back home. So it’s pretty solid with battery life. Regardless, if you’re gonna spend the day with 100 percent brightness or playing games, it’ll die. But for a regular day on social media, texting, few calls, emails, browsing the web, it’ll last all day on lte! Glad to help !
You would get more Battery Life if you turn off unnecessary Connections Like Wi-Fi ( While You Are out using LTE And not Wi-Fi ) , Bluetooth ( if you’re not using it in Car Or Headphones or whatever ) , VPN ( Why Do you need vpn Unnecessarily While you are outside Using LTE
haha! The camera is actually a legit competitor to some real vlogging cameras. It can sub in for some more expensive cameras and most people wont be able to tell the difference.
Absolutely, the standby times on iPhones are pretty solid. If you don't use it much, it will probably last you about a day and a half. No question the 13 can do it if you are connected to wifi as well.
I'm between the 13 and 13 mini. I'll only use it for work related calls&texting and the daily google maps assisted driving. I find the mini the ideal phone size but I'm worried if the battery will last me till night. Any thoughts?
Headie, dutchavelli, digdat, digga d, cench, fredo, I also been listening to a lot of Meekz. Manny, and m huncho. Lol I listen to drill more than Toronto or Us artists.
i can't imagine the traffic you have to get through everyday just to get to work, it really sucks here in GTA 😜. Oh and also i think there's a noticeable drop in video quality at 3x zoom, apple should really consider uping the pixel count for future iphones.
Yes it ends up looking waxy when you zoom in which kind of makes it look like how the old iPhones used to look. Apparently the Pro has way better zoom capabilities with the telephoto lens doing most of the work. Luckily, I’ve always worked from home for almost 3 years now so I can go in whenever. Going in reminds me of the benefits of working from home because I do not miss the terrible traffic ! I didn’t know you lived in the GTA!
@@JDchahal I’m also waiting for the Pro (non-max). Hoping to exchange this one for it. I check every morning haha! Good luck! Can’t wait to see your shorts on the Pro!
Bhai maine iphone 13 lia hai camera jb use kr rha hu light ke pass le jaate he green dot aata hai apple supoort me baat ki bole ye nomral hai phone shi hai diagnoses kia bole sb shi hai to aap bta skte hai green dot lens flare kiyo aa rha hai mera phone shi hai na ???
I was pretty happy with the display outdoors. Everything still looks super crisp on the oled display. It does well in bright sunlight so I can’t complain. I don’t think you’ll have an issue.
I also got the iPhone 13 pro max, 128gb in white/silver. i did an unboxing and test video on my channel! if anyone has been debating on getting it. GET IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!! i love mine and it was worth every penny, lol. i love these kinds of videos, thanks for sharing!
Hey! The 8t is a great phone though so you might miss out on some features, but the iPhone 13 is still a good upgrade. If you can't wait another year, I'd say look at the iPhone 12. It is cheaper and has almost the same features as the iPhone 13. Apple offers cloud storage in some places so you can save your data online. For me, the iPhone 13 128gb is enough for most of what I do.
In this video I use a case called the ESR halolock. I got it off amazon for a good price. I use 128gh but it comes with around 119gb of usable storage.
Hey so someone else commented this so I'll past my response here...I watched it back and screenshotted the part I showed my phone. Specifically the one with the car. I think I know why it appears yellow. I have a filter on my camera that does not mesh well with screen protectors. If you look at the colours in the frame when I’m above the car, the volume sliders look bluer than normal and so does the white portion of the orientation lock. The colours are a little distorted. Screenshot and see the distortion for yourself. But I definitely did not put on low power mode as I agree, totally useless information.
@@uyaster I have no reason to tell a lie when I’ve bashed apple products (especially the magsafe charger for being horrible with battery life). That’s the battery life I got. I was not using low power mode and I mentioned it in a previous comment. The yellow hue was caused by my ND filter. This is a filter you can put on a camera lens that acts like sunglasses when it is outdoors to make sure the shots aren’t too bright. If you look at the shot when I’m at the car and showing my battery, the control screen has a blueish tint and the colours are not exact. The volume slider has a blue tint and the battery bar has a yellow tint. It was from colour grading the footage after + the ND filter. I’ve made a follow up one with the Pro and even though it died by 5pm, I still showed that. It was my use and did not change the truth. I appreciate your comment but I wouldn’t bend the truth for fun. Just filmed my day.
In my experience, it did not last a day like this. It lasted most of the work day until around 3-4pm where I’d have to top up. So if I had plans after work, I had to top off before leaving as I’d have a dead phone if I didn’t. Fort this, I don’t really have to worry until I come back home. But it all depends on your usage. Hope that helps!
The battery apparently is similar or on par with the iPhone 12.So you shouldn’t notice a big difference by going with the 13 mini. You won’t get the longer life of the Pro or regular 13 but it should still be good. Also! This depends on your usage, if you are a heavy user it’ll drain either way.
Well my iPhone 13 is okay for me, I guess because I use alot of features and get a lot of messages play games and notifications through out day, while the battery is better on some days, even tho it never fails me, I normally reach home with 20s% that’s about 7pm sometimes better , it’s way better than my iPhone 8 that I upgraded from , I don’t need my charger anymore
Lol I listen to Drill more than Toronto rap or US rap. Uk artists have the best music videos as well hand down. I grew up in Jane and Finch (Dave had a line about there in the Verdansk music video) so the UK drill resonates with me since Toronto and UK are so similar. Don’t let my broadcast voice fool you bro lol 😂
I do! Every day I charge my phone to 100% on Apple's charger. I think most people charge overnight. The best way to maintain battery health is to use original charging accessories!
The 13 is better for battery life and if you watch content. Otherwise the mini is a pretty good size and has basically the same features as the more expensive 13. If I had to choose, I'd choose the 13 though because I like the bigger display. But otherwise, go for the mini!
I have the 13 pro as well and although the 120hz display is a cool feature, I don’t think its worth paying extra for. The Pro does have some better features such as longer battery life, telephoto lens, raw photos, and prores codec in the future. So there are a few benefits other than that. I’d say its worth an upgrade as a total package but not for the 120hz display only. Does that help?
@@IdrisB Yes, so much helpful, I have on the fence which one to buy, as this is my first ios device, all my life I have been with Android and currently using a OP7T which has 90hz, so I thought it may have to compromise some of viewing experience due to refresh rate. Will that happen?
Possibly, because the display slows down to 24fps when watching video due to Promotion being dynamic. So it’s not 120hz with all content to save battery life. It’s on when scrolling in general and when doing things like gaming. That said, if you are used to having a higher rate than 60hz, you might Have a hard time adjusting back.
@@IdrisB Yeah, that what I was wondering too, as I dont have any experience with ios either, so I need make decision soon 😊. Thank you so much for your kind feedback. First time a tech expert has given me advice, so glad I subscribed.
@@IdrisB cheers man. Was looking for a solid clear case for my 13 pro. Can't justify the pricing for Apple' cases, especially here in New Zealand! Anyway awesome videos dude, keep em coming
The iPhone 13 does not feel heavy to me at all. It feels a lot like the iPhone 12 but has never felt like a hassle to carry around. Pretty light but sturdy.
Absolutely, the only reason I changed it for the Pro is because I wanted the telephoto lens. Otherwise, the battery, camera, design, makes it good enough to carry everyday.
@@IdrisB do you charge from 100 to 0 I own the 13 mini in green and I want to keep the battery health at 100 I charge from 100 to 0 instead of babying it I would just replace it if it gets low. Let me no your opinion
I don’t think so one hour in the 13 only loses 15 percent for me I own the mini tho so your battery should be better then mine maybe replace yours if it’s low
i wouldn't say real day in the life because a normal person just using his phone let's say he will take like 2 - 3 pictures and if he records a video it will be like 1 or 2 not super long
@@IdrisB Well yeah you did said that you use the phone to its max and i appreciate the vide and the hard work you put in i'm just saying that some people barely used it outside
Yes! The battery in phones are optimized for daily charging. Apple also controls charging overnight by not charging the phone too fast and also learning when you typically unplug the phone. The iPhone is best charged with any certified charger but I'd always suggest using the charging accessories that Apple makes themselves! hope that helps!
@@IdrisB basically bro i charge my phone with this pattern when it is 15% i plugged in my charger and when it is 90% i plugged off my charger is this pattern okay or not
@@alishakil8148 I mean it won’t harm the phone if you do that. But apple does a good job of optimizing the charging for you. For example my phone charges to 80 percent or so overnight and then when I’m about to wake up , it’ll charge to 100 because the iPhone knows when I typically take the phone off the charger. So the phone can do exactly what you’re doing without you needing to do anything.
@@IdrisB and one more thing Actually my iPhone 13 is heating too much while charging it and i turn on the flight mode on and still it is heating too much while charging is it normal or should take it to service center
Every iPhone will have good battery life for the first 2 years max, the real deal is what happens after that. Sure thats not the case with the android phones though.
Really nice video! But then I noticed you are using the phone in the battery safe mode which kind of makes the entire video useless as reference for actual battery:(
Someone else commented this. Can you point out where I used Low power mode ? I agree that would be pointless and I’m not aware of turning it on at any point.
@@TECHNIKMM ah I watched it back and screenshotted the part I showed my phone. Specifically the one with the car. I think I know why it appears yellow. I’ve already filmed one for the Pro now im going back through the footage trying to see if looks the same. Thanks for pointing that out.
Lol I can’t speak for all westerners but I had a burger in this video. My parents are Caribbean, we eat goat, oxtail, all kinds of food typically. But on this specific day, I chose a burger and it was delicious !
@@IdrisB Haha I was confused I've been to Europe Africa and asia( not every country) . The people are so different from what westerners to say Brits and Americans. The food they eat, their culture and lifestyle and the hospitality. All I ever seen in Americans movies are these burgers or some random leaves as their main meal. On the place where I live burger is more like a midday snack or like a something like a quick grab while watching tv. Anyway cheers mate nice video Thanks a lot, but I'm still confused between 12 and 13 😅😅😊😊
Do you watch a lot of content? Are you outside the house most of the day? Do you have larger hands? Did you like the plus versions of the iPhone (like the 7 plus, 8 plus, etc) If so, you are better off going with the larger iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 mini is great actually if you dont watch a lot of content and don't need the larger screen. For me, I think typing with the 13 is near perfect compared to the mini.
