For anyone considering the iPhone 14, I would suggest going with the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro instead. The iPhone 14 is basically a downgraded iPhone 13 Pro.
In Canada for us iphone 13 is 999 and iphone 14 is 1099, 100 dollars difference. Right now I have an iphone xr, would it still be worth it to change to 14?
I just got my iPhone 13, 5 months ago. Honestly, i am kind of glad that there isn’t any big difference between 13 and 14. Because like this, i wouldn’t regret that i haven’t waited for iPhone 14 instead.
Same had iPhone 13 but only afew month maybe 2? It’s my first iPhone coming from android user. Honestly I have been enjoying it and I’m glad I didn’t wait as I needed a phone(spoil android)
It just makes sense to get the 13. Still a very reliable phone, cheaper now, gets iOS 16, etc. The 14 was the laziest upgrade I've seen them do in a long time.
@@verrat3219 not really much but there was the notch diagonal cameras and better battery but the 13 and 14 are exact same there is literally no difference other than no SIM card they even have the same chip!
For the better Money just get the 13 at this point when there’s literally almost no difference. If you want that big big upgrade just go for the pro models
I got the iPhone 13 2 months ago. I finally upgraded from the iPhone 8+ which was a huge! Upgrade. So knowing not much, if any change has happened for the iPhone 14 is great! I was trying to wait but my iPhone 8 was literally breaking apart piece by piece.
people have been suggesting for Apple to change to a 2 year schedule for their iPhones. it would give them more time to come up with something more ‘interesting’ perhaps encouraging them (people) to upgrade every new release.
I bought the 14 because I am coming from the 12. The 14 has better battery life than the 13, also the new safety features are impressive . The ram on the 14 is more than the 13. The cameras on the 14 were slightly updated as well .

$800-$900 (and much more expensive in other countries) but still 60Hz, still no telephoto. Then there’s the same chip as last year (+1 GPU core) and the new camera features literally can be brought to the 13 series with a software update since it’s mostly software features and they have the same chipset and cameras. If you really want an iPhone just get the 13.
Upgraded from iphone 7plus to iphone 14. Happy with it because I plan to use it for the next 4-5 years, so I decided to get the latest model than the 13. It would totally be impractical if you have the 13 then upgrade to 14. But It is really up to you and your preference :)
Rocking an iPhone 14. Upgraded from the SE2 and I love it. But I used a friend’s 13 and couldn’t tell a difference. Honestly, if you have a relatively new phone and are looking to upgrade, go with the 13 but if the 14 is cheaper through cellular plans, like how I got mine, there’s no reason not to go for it.
Well using iPhone 13 and i was thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 14 if it had 120hz refresh rate. Now I would happily continue using iPhone 13. I feel anyone considering to buy iPhone 14 should buy IPhone 14 plus for the bigger screen or buy the iPhone 13 itself .there’s hardly any big difference between iphone 13 and 14 when u consider buying IPhone 14.
The standard iPhone 14 is so disappointing that even Steve Jobs own daughter has mocked it. it is a waste of money, I would go with the 13 instead. even the S iPhones had faster chips. The regular iPhone 14 isn’t worth it, I would call this the 13 pro lite
Seeing both phones side by side, I am really starting to notice that the iPhone 14 has thinner black borders around the screen. I still don’t think that’s enough of a reason to choose the 14 over the 13 but it is a nice touch.
No they have the same exact bezel thickness. Only the pro models have supposedly thinner bezels, but even then they still look the same to me when comparing them online.
I've been watching Nick's video more often when I got the iPhone 13 (256gb) Blue variant. And now the iPhone 14 is released I came back and here I am comparing it all over again. So basically on my point of view. Getting the iPhone 13 in a cheaper price is the way to go. But if you really want the plus size iPhone 14 with better ram? Then it's better especially for gamers out there. And I'm gonna keep this iPhone 13 of mine for at least 3-5 years before upgrading
The 14s should be completely ignored this year unless you're jumping to the pro line from a iphone 12 pro or below. The 14 plus is a complete scam when you pay $100 more and get a vastly better phone.

Agreed, I’m going from the iPhone 11 64gs, to 13 and 256gbs, won’t be upgrading for the the next 2-3 years, literally no point in getting the 14 with such little upgrades.
I will say, The iphone 14 will likely be a bettee choice then the 13 in the long run. The battery is slightly better, and we shud be getting one more year of software updates for the 14. However the biggest change from a value perspective is the fact the iphone 14 is far easier and cheaper to repair, so if u plan to use the iphone you get for 4-5 years or more then the 14 will likely be better and would save more money in the long term thanks to the easier repairs. However, if u just care about the tech and are planning to upgrade within 3 years, the 13 is a better choice forsure
Upgraded from iPhone X to iPhone 14.. definitely worth it for me.. will definitely keep it for the next 2-3 years.. BTW the base iPhone 13 here in the Philippines is currently priced at around $850 (₱49,990) to $900 (₱52,490)

@@smileey. 13 Pro is so much better than the 14. The "issue" is that people are willing to spend €1200 after 1 year from its release to buy one, so the price stays high. If it were €850 after 1 year it would be priced correctly for what I would be willing to pay for it.

All reviewers are failing to mention it has 2GB extra RAM which in the long term will be a benefit. It has also been well documented that the phone has better battery life than 13
Thanks for the comparison. I have made my decision. It’s gonna be iPhone 13 256 for way lesser cost than iPhone 14 128 which is basically the same as 13.
@@troythomison9804 The S22 is not a bad phone, and it's cheaper. Of course it has less years of support, worse OS, battery and heats up. But apart from that, Samsung phones after a year become interestingly priced.
i bought iphone 13 in india at near about $637 during a sale, iphone 14 sells here at $1000. And they both are almost identical, i'm very happy with my purchage.
coming from an X one thing I don’t like actually is the feel of a brick in my hand. rounded is just more natural and feels better. i hope they go back to something more ergonomic in the hand soon…
I really like the satellite sos feature as someone who sends a lot of time in rural areas and hiking in very rural areas this feature is huge. Most people will never use it but the day you need it you’ll wish you paid the extra $100
Didn’t upgrade from my 12 to 13 due to being virtually the same phone now 14 is virtually the same phone think will skip to 15 or 16 to feel major changes 🤔
I am recently purchased iphone 13 and i am super happy. I dont take photos too much so it doesn’t matter to me. Iphone 13 is great. The speed and camera is just next level.
iPhone 14 has a new easily repairable back glass… have you seen this yet ? They went back to the old iPhone 4 design where you can just remove the screws and pop the back glass off .. the battery and logic board sit right there for easy repair …so they did actually do a great deal of design change on the inside…
Yes. The thing is that it's not worthy even of an S level upgrade. If you have a cover, that feature has virtually the same value. If you break the glass anyway, other parts of the phone would most likely be damaged too.
The only reason I want the iPhone 14 because of the new yellow color that just released, that is my only reason to purchase the iPhone 14. If anything I'll go get the iPhone 13 there is really not a big difference the 13 and 14 both look the same. The only difference is the colors no one will be able to tell the difference.
The iPhone 14 is for people with the iPhone 11 or older. Quit looking at it if you have a newer iPhone. The iPhone 15 will be a much bigger upgrade for iPhone 12 (and above) users.
Just bought a iPhone 13 in March and it's amazing. Way better than my Xs Max was, better battery life than the 12 (with double the storage) and no $100 upsell for the "biggest number" like the 14
Actually the iphone 14 not only has bigger lenses but as well its width is wider compared to the iphone 13 and no I'm actually talking about the normal iphone 14 not the plus .
I got a iPhone 13 Pro Max a few months ago. I love it. I don’t see any major difference in the iPhone 14 pro max besides the action features, the dynamic island, pics look so similar.
@@rachelheart843 it runs at 1hz when always on is active while the display is face up, the screen goes to sleep when face down and in your pocket so no it doesn’t waste essentially any battery.
@@rachelheart843 I agree with you. Some RU-vidrs are already saying they’re turning it off to save battery. Anything that’s on even at 1hz will eat your battery. I bet there will be bugs and people will complain about it draining their battery. Just wait. After this week and watching reviews I will be sticking with my 13PM as well. It’s still a beast. Battery health just dropped to 98% last night after a year.
I am using iPhone 13. But Nick when I look at both the phones side by side, I find that screen of 14 is a bit different than the 13. The display of 14 is a curved type and the display of 13 is at the flatter side. I don’t know whether I am right or it is just my thinking😅
I’m happy with the 13 I got recently. You literally get the same phone either way😅 the 14 is better for you only if you really want one of the new features or colors:)
I like the color on the new iPhone 14 plus the blue one I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max in pacific blue and this one looks like it changes colors in a way 🤔😻
Honestly we should only update our phones every 3-4 years because every year or two is too close and its not much of a real change. Bc i went from an 5s to 7 to 10 to 11 pro max to my current 12. Now i am gonna upgrade to the 14 pro max. But when i get this phone im gonna keep it for at least 3-4 years bc an every year update isn’t worth it.

In all honesty coming from a IPhone X I got the 14….only reason I didn’t get the pro was because it sold out near me but now having it since Saturday I can honestly say I basically got a pro model for a standard iPhone price with more features…if you have a 13 or even a 12 it’s understandable that a upgrade is pointless but me coming from a X the upgrade is substantially better I can’t complain at all 😂 on top of the fact that I got the phone half off so I payed less the the 13 pro is now 😂 I’m chilling

I got the sierra blue iPhone 14, upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. For ppl who keep commenting to upgrade to the 13 pro. I only upgraded to the 14 cuz the only had promotions for the 14 phones. Just to switch your device. For the iPhone 13 they had a different promo which is to add an extra line which is something I don’t need since it’s just myself. & didn’t like the color selection for the iPhone 14 pro or pro maxes. Very disappointing so I settled to just get the iPhone 14 since it had the sierra blue color. Blue is my favorite color. So I chose what I felt was reasonable when it comes to what I normally use the phone for. Don’t really use the cameras all that much. Only occasionally when I go out to places & events.
I’m stuck between the 13 or 14 the 13 is $100 cheaper but i keep seeing people talk about the ram isn’t enough. I currently have a iPhone 11 paid off waiting to upgrade. I would like dynamic island but don’t really need all the features that come with the pro models price. Wish the IPhone 14 at least had the dynamic island that would make this choice easier

I have an iPhone 8 and I will for the 14 which is has the the crash detection, emergency sos satellite, 6 ram and better battery, will be supported and receive more updates in the future. I don’t really care about the dynamic island bc I won’t even use it. I don’t care about 3 camera lenses bc I’m not a photography lover. As long as I can perfectly watch RU-vid, do Instagram, TikTok, Snap that’s all I need and the 14 just does that. The 14 may look the same as the 13 and it’s very disappointing but it’s still the iPhone 14 so it’s still amazing to me.
Iphone 13 and 14 yeah almost the same. If you have an iPhone 12 or 13 there’s no need to update honestly. However someone who comes from older devices I’ll say to go with the 14. Because over the time the battery performance would be better in 13 than in 14

When iphone 12 came out . The youtuber used to say that its the most original color of a photo . When iphone 13 came out they say that iphone 12s photo color is a bit off and 13 is the most authentic one . Now iphone 14 came out and iphone 13 became a bit more ………. U know what I meant
