The 2x shot of the Pixel 7 is also better than the ones on iphone 14. They both don't have a telephoto lens but the new Pixels took it to another level
@@arturbierthat's cause only the native app of the Android phone can access camera2api ....other apps basically use the live screen recording that's why front camera is shitty .....😢
I was wondering what he was talking about they accept GPay everywhere !! If they have Apple Pay then they also have GPay In my experience NFC payments are NFC payments there is no we accept Apple Pay but not Google pay and Samsung pay I’m so confused I live in Alabama and I have never went somewhere where I couldn’t pay with Google pay and I definitely haven’t been somewhere where they accepted Apple Pay but not Google pay that doesn’t make sense.
fun fact, in Sweden Gpay is not supported with some banks... That is why Samsung Pay just works, and Apple Pay being a close second. I wouldn't pick a phone over such a gimmicky feature though, rarely used Apple Pay with my iPhones through the years. When i'm buying groceries I need to use my membership card which is in my wallet then I can pay, so why bother with the phone? When i'm charging my EV it's again either a card/tag so no need for my phone there either. When i'm at work (office in hospital) I put my security card and VISA card in my shirt's pocket in case I want to buy food/snacks that day. I've even seen people putting their debit/credit card in their phone's case but that's mostly during holidays or vacations (or it could be that I just observe it during that time)
I have had an iPhone since the 5 (S). I just switched from the iPhone 13 mini to the Pixel 7 as of today. So far I love it. It was a bit of a switch as far as moving all my accounts over but nothing to major. I love the customizability of the Pixel. The only compliant I've had currently is all my friends and family texting me saying "Why the green bubble?"
I’ve been iPhone since the 3GS and I’m quite fed up as my 13 mini decided to stop charging via the port. Only wireless charging works and I don’t feel like paying almost $400 to fix it. I’ve been considering the Google pixel since this happened. My main question is in regards to the music. We’re you an Apple Music user? I have over 7k songs on Apple Music and I’m concerned on what happens if I switch. I heard there’s Apple Music on the Google play store BUT I’m curious if it just makes you download it all again or if it can automatically sync like when you get a new iPhone
Meh, we shouldn't be using SMS anymore, its an outdated protocol and honestly the green/blue bubble is just a low Apple tactic to pressure android users.
I've been using iPhones for 10 years. Just got the 14 because iOS 16 messed up my 11. Then my iPhone had a problem sending pics to androids, which apparently has been very common. So I'm considering switching because I'm not going to pay more if Apple isn't easy to use. Besides I use Google's in house apps like calendar, Google drive etc. anyway because they're better than apple. It might take some time, but once I pay off my iPhone I think I'm switching.
@@R0CK.N.R0LLA I mean the iPhone14 Plus or older iPhone Like a 13 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro, I'm saying this cause Pixel 7 Pro has major hardware issues and people already complaining about bad battery life and over heating problems I have one and it's true it overheats and the battery life is awful it mostly does this when you using your mobile data but if you wifi it doesn't seem to effect it as much but you instantly notice battery drain and overheating issues if you buy it just giving you heads up
@@R0CK.N.R0LLA hey dude, a current pixel owner, seems like this mostly affected pre orders and is now fixed. Got 0 problems with my pixel 7 pro and I do recommend turning the adaptive battery on and giving it a week, it'll go from fair to good! And it only got quite got when I was setting it up, the receptions excellent, and all the software issues I had were fixed and the UI feels silky smooth. It'll be $749 on black Friday. Would recommend.
Whatever you say pixel doesn't match an iphone what pixel has is only a good camera pixel crashes new device that doesn't charge within 1 hour apps that don't work phone gets hot notifications don't work face recognition is bad keep it up even most Xiaomi Oppo devices on the market promise more than a pixel
I was wondering the same thing yes everywhere that accepts Apple Pay accepts Google pay I live in Alabama and I have never ran into a place that I haven’t been able to pay with Google pay especially if they have Apple Pay then they have Google pay .
If google only has the same ecosystem, I would definitely leave all for pixel. Sadly all my work revolves around fast paced multimedia task. One day, google
I want a Pixel but the only reason I'm sticking with Apple is because of the ecosystem (yes I know that's what majority of Apple fanboys say but still)
Owned sooo many IOS devices since the 4 series and now own a 13 Pmax. Also own a Pixel 7 Pro and bounce back and forth. In fact even still own and old P4A, P6, S20FE and I truly love both IOS and Android. But since launch, I cannot put down the Pixel 7P. It simply feels fun, fresh, smart AF, fast AF, strong AF and I dunno…happy as hell to take input. Just feels lighter and more nimble on the processing. My 13pm feels like that super polished, totally gated yet stable and dated feeling married sex like Apple device. Instantly feels old as hell yet still really pretty when back to back with the P7pro. It’s weird but you cant’t un-notice how dated even the latest Apple flagship feels in hand once you back to back the latest flagships. Im floored to admit it but that’s on them. The mighty Apple should be nervous as hell of how pretty but meh their lineup feels. Now is not the time to be so smug.. lots of people are chatting about paying double for iMessage status
Agree with everything you said. I own the pixel 6a , 7 and iphone 13 pro max. I Love the pixel 7 more than the pro max. But my only gripe with the phone is that it gets hot. If that were happening I would have been absolutely no complaints satisfied!!
I have of course seens o many comments on the pixel 7 camera being objectively better but your review is the first one I've seen mention VIDEO QUALITY! And video is what I'm actually more concerned with! Thanks for making a point to contrast both still photos and videos.
Hmm.. I've been using Gpay for years and they accept it pretty much everywhere where a terminal has contactless pay which after Covid is pretty much all terminals. Not sure what you mean that Apple Pay is any better.
Actually if you use a samsung phone even if there is not NFC. Samsung Pay supports Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST), which allows the phone to emulate a magnetic stripe card and work with older payment terminals that do not support NFC. I've being using samsung pay for a very long time. I laugh when they said we don't accept apple pay.
Which device has a better resale value? Better customer support? Fewer bugs? I'm using my pixel 6 to post this comment. I hate this phone. Lol It's buggy as hell and almost as hot as it too. Customer service is terrible. Battery life is a joke.
I have a pixel 6 and an iphone 13. The iphone is smoother, has a better quality and brighter display. My Iphone hardly experiences any glitches. Iphone is better built , higher quality,. I'm a hobby photographer ( have a mirror less and DSLR camera) I personally think my iphone takes better and more consistent photos than my pixel 6.I prefer the android experience though, although iOS is ok
Stupid apple vs google pay is a no brainer, even if g pay isnt accepted for some CRAZZY reason ,you still have google wallet which allows you to have all the cards in your wallet be in digital form
I definitely plan on keeping my 13 pro max bur i definitely want a pixel 7 or 7 pro as a second phone or work phone, I love the calling features google has.
I'm still using My first Pixel 4a 5G Unlocked with T-Mobile running Android 13 it's still a beast and I hate the finger print on the display on the newer Pixels
iPhone is a superior option nowadays due to its better screen, longer battery life, superior update support, higher upload quality for social media, smoother user interface, higher-quality speaker sound, better camera photo processing, and video recording capabilities. On the other hand, Android seems to have lost its edge and is on the decline, as it has resorted to copying Apple's regrettable tendencies, such as removing the headphone jack and the charger in the box.
The screen isn’t exactly better (go look at an s23 ultra for comparison), the speakers aren’t better, Pixels have better processing than iPhones, and all phones upload the same quality photos/videos to social media (and it’s the app makers fault if so). iPhones are not all bad though. Battery life can be longer on iPhones, and iOS is what makes iPhones stand out. It’s the software that iPhones run - clean and easy to use, well placed features, but not customizable - that makes them stand out. (Not that iOS is perfect - I’ve had bugs with it before (iOS 16 battery drain, iPadOS 16 dock folders not working right until an update) ). Android hasn’t “lost its edge”; rather, many Android phones are starting to look a lot more appealing than their Apple counterparts compared to, say, 2017. (Sadly, iMessage is still popular in the U.S to the point where people buy iPhones specifically for it. I truly hope Sunbird changes this) When’s the last time you’ve used an android phone? (I’m saying this having used both modern iPhones (12, 14) and Pixels (6A) )
The security is too high on it for me and it’s gimmicks for basic stuff is so annoying like why do I need to put in passcode for Face ID when I literally just unlocked my phone with my face 2 minutes ago??? And I literally couldn’t use my card for Apple Pay/Wallet cause I never got the code sent to me that I requested 3 times so it locked up the card on Apple Pay so that made me upset. Whereas on my android I never had that issue it instantly verified my card and everything. Android is the Winner in my opinion the only thing from iPhone that’s better than iPhone is iMessage and the video quality… that’s about it. Everything else just feels like a constant transaction.
I think in a lot of places it's also better accepted. When I went through Germany, apple pay often times worked where my gpay didn't. But that is something of a German problem as well.
Well I don’t know about Germany but in Birmingham Alabama yes Alabama I have never went anywhere where I wasn’t able to pay with Google pay that Apple Pay was available. Its the same technology so they will accept google pay if they accept Apple Pay in the United States of America.
@@jhcccc in my country almost no one uses apple pay so everyone has google pay instead and apple pay is outnumbered extremely to the point where apple users use Google pay and other google apps like maps, gboard, etc
Great job, as usual, Kevin! Loved the video! I find the whole ecosystem is what keeps us in one OS versus another. I've been on android since the beginning and tried once to move to iOS, but being in the Android world for so long...I just never realized how much 'Google' I actually used..Lol 👍🏻
Unfortunately in India there's no official apple service center and all the service center are 3rd party companies which are paid by apple to service iPhones but the workers don't give a F about you and often make fake reports to charge you extra and take months to repair your phones and many times they do it so bad that glue is visible on camera after replacing screen.
You probably need to RMA your Pixel if that’s happening…..I’ve never seen that happen. There is also a color options pane in settings that might fix it.
The best parts are the hold for me feature and the robot voice typed out for you. The 7 pro was awesome but I sold it for the RedMagic 8Pro plus, which is 800 for the top model and 650 for the same thing w 12 gigs of ram and 256 storage vs 16gbs and 512 on the plus.
Unfortunately, in all the reviews about Google Pixel 7 no one mentions anything about the mediocre display brightness. I really wanted to get away from my iPhone 11 and Apple "ecosystem" as such, I purchased a Google Pixel 7. I fiddled around with the display for a while and even at 100% (maximum setting) Google Pixel 7 is not as bright as the iPhone 11 at 70 - 75%. Not only that, but by changing the viewing angle, the display becomes yet more disappointing. I'm sorry, Google. I returned the Pixel 7 and purchased an iPhone 13.
Lol, you returned the pixel 7 because It was 20% less bright than the iPhone? Sounds like you just wanted an iPhone to begin with 20% is literally unnoticeable
@@HalcyonEX After being an iPhone user for just about a decade, Apple's marketing gimmicks such as various cables, dongles, adaptors, their "ecosystem" and absurd prices determined me to take Apple off my shopping list. I purchased a Google Pixel 7 but didn't like the display as such, I swapped it with an iPhone 13. Needless to say, the iPhone once again reminded me of all the reasons I was convinced that I should stay away from it, so I returned it, and I’m using now a Google Pixel 7 Pro. Apple is overrated.
Gonna switch vom iPhone to the pixel pro tomorrow. After all these years,APPLE became boring and It feels like Google does smarter stuff, which helps me and not some artists in my life.
Once you go android you never go back, iOS is simply to restricted and iPhones are to expensive, for example, if I want you tube with no ads on iOS, I have to go through all that bullshit of installing iCloud and iTunes on laptop, connecting phone blah blah blah, and even after all that the program may not stay working, on android I just download a modded apk and install it 🤣, once you switch to android a whole new world of customisation and usability open up to you, I believe the main reason iPhones are still selling so well is just down to the fact that all the flash people just want to keep up with the Joneses and not be the odd one out because all there Instagram idols etc have iPhones, people will wake up soon though , and when they do, apple is fooked.
I think unbeatable Apple Watch when it comes to accurate stats is one factor of why Apple is selling well. Apple Watch isn't stand alone unlike android watches and needs an iPhone. Heck I'm on Android and want to switch to iPhone just for the watch 😂😆
No one is trying to keep up with the "Joneses". It never actually occurred to you that a lot of people don't prefer your preference 😐. Also, learn the proper their 🙄
There's been a number of videos and articles talking about that, the changes are minimal so there is very little reason to upgrade from a P6 to a P7, the upgrade is certainly more worthy if you come from a P5 or an older phone.
@@arturoescorcia I really loved the P5 but I lost mine in Cuba last week so bought a P7, it's heavy but it seems more advanced. I like small and light and fit's in my pocket, already have a tablet.
You've never worked a day in hospitality if u think the face id unlock and apple pay work better than the a fingerprint scanner and Google pay, the amount of times people have to use their passcodes on iPhone to pay for something because the face id doesn't work is ridiculous, people be trying to pay for something for like a full minute before the iPhone works properly, especially for older generations who are less used to how it works, androids always work first try
The pixel 7 is a better phone than the iphone 14, lags only in video. With trade in cost me $150 unlocked, that's a lot of phone for the money. You also might be surprised how great of a size 6.3 is. I thought it would annoy me coming from the 6-inch pixel 5 but it's actually better. It's the most screen you can have before it starts to get cumbersome and annoying.
Pixel 7 made me sell my iphone 13 pro. I have been using Pixel 7 for 2 months now. Everything is nice but I was hoping that the battery life would be better, especilly standby.
I like the way the the iPhone screen looks it has True Tone and I like that. The pixel has a 90hrz smooth screen so that’s nice to have. The iPhone is a bit wider for easy texting and the speakers are great with a lot of bass. The pixel feels expensive and looks modern. I’m torn. If you go with the 13 you save $100 getting you to the same price as the pixel . It’s a hard choice and I’m torn.
I just bought the Pixel 7 and I'm selling my iPhone 13 Pro. Pixel it's just a better phone for me. I have a TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and Apple forbids me from receive pictures, texting and calling from this watch for "safety" reasons. iPhone still has Lightening port which is slow USB 2.0, unless you have a MAC you can't transfer anything to the iPhone, and from it, you can transfer only pictures and movies. But the worst of all on iPhone is the gallery. Every picture lands in Recents folder, no matter if you saved it from some app or downloaded it form the web, you are not able to distinguish photos that you took from all the others that you have saved. Total mess.. It's a good phone, but imo Pixel is way better and way cheaper.
I’m a iPhone user and I wish a new iPhone is around 500 bucks but that’s not the case so I just went with pixel 7 to give it a try. Can’t beat the deal of the pixel 7 for only 350 to be honest.
Doesn't change the fact that those models are the cheapest of the current product lines 🤷 Guess he should reword his title to "the least expensive iPhone vs least expensive Pixel" for poor idiots to understand.
@@alihassan6969 lol I was being sarcastic for you not understanding the title but I guess I'm gonna have to educate you then 😂 So he wrote 'cheapest pixel' in the title as in the cheapest one out of the current latest pixel lineups not the cheapest phone in the world or the cheapest out of all the other pixel lineups 😌
@@JamesBrown-fj9tq 100% on point. But there’s a catch Because of shitty samsung node process Pixel became the victim. Samsung is very bad at smartphone soc manufacturing. If Google can shift to TSMC for their Tensor chips then undoubtedly Pixel will sell like dope. Just because of soc , I bought iPhone
I bought my google pixel 7 three months ago and I am not really satisfied... 1. At least in Israel there are connectivity issues with VOLTE, working woth VOLTE is a very basic function for a phone 2. It is great to have a great camera and the google photos but it just eats up thr storage space and you have to purchase extra storage from google. 3. Bugs - sometimes the screen just freezes when transfering between apps 4. I participated in the promotion rewards, i was supposed to get google pixel buds within 60 days of an approved application. I never got them 🤷 Looking back i should have bought an iphone
I just got an pixel 7, and I have had a pixel 3 XL for the past 5 years. This one seems like another great phone I can own for the next 5ish years at a reasonable price. I don't game or do anything super fancy on phones, and since I owned an ipod and dabbled with itunes back in the day I have sworn off the Apple ecosystem. I just hated how they did business back in the late 2000's. As time goes by there is less and less of a reason for me to own an Apple device.
There are also apps on Android that are not on iOS. Give me an example of an app on iOS that is not on Android. Also Google pay is available everywhere apple pay is. These comparisons don't matter anymore if at the end it boils down to ecosystem
Never used an iPhone but calling its design boring is just ignorant. The iPhone design is actually gorgeous. I wish Android phones would have such consistent design language. Just ordered a Pixel 7. I use Google software for work all the time, that's the reason I need the Pixel phones. Otherwise, I would love to hold an iPhone for daily use.
It’s boring because it has looked the same for years and years. The last big design change was the IPhone 6. I stayed camped outside to get one on lunch day. That’s right there tells you how long ago we had a change.
People forget, that its not about tech only its about usability, design and the operating system. Every year the debate is the same: Apple is to expensive for what they offer... believe me, Google would charge you more if they could!!! But no other company than Apple can charge as much as they do! They have the more stable operating system, the eco-system is way better and if youre selling youre Apple device one or two years after, you get a good price for it. Take the 6 Pro for example.. in 2021 the price was 899. You can get it used now for 350-400! What do you get for an iPhone 13? Maybe you´ll loose 200 but not more. They are less expensive for a reason! Yes, google have better cameras in my opinion but thats it.
Yes Apple are well proven less experimental, I would not have bought a P6 with Googles first try designing a CPU, I don't want to be dealing with bugs, I bought a P5 instead of a P6 for this reason plus it was smaller and lighter
