Hi Tom thanks for your video. I think a lot of people didn't get the purpose of it. Obviously the Iphone 14 PRO will be better after all it is double the price. But the main question is: Is it THAT better to justify the price difference? In my opinion, no. Pixel 7 is good enough and your video demonstrates that. So thank you. I'm quite happy with the P7.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 this is exactly the point! Tons of comparisons exist comparing the Pro vs. the Pro! What about people considering the Pixel 7 who simply want to see how it stacks up against the best iPhone?
Yeah I'm not sure I agree with the conclusion on the highlights side; the pixel appears to retain a lot more detail in the lamps on the covent garden shot.
Funny enough I have both phones. The only advantage of my Iphone 14 pro is performance and video. The photo quality and UI interface is a good if not better on the P7.
I am actually super impressed with how well the base pixel 7 has done in the video. The iphone has nice photos but can definitely see that you don't have to spend all that money on the most expensive phone to get a similar photo
I normally do, but for some of the videos I just said which was which. But maybe this isn’t sufficient I’ll fix it next time 🙌🏻 thanks for watching man
Crazy how biased people can be when it comes to brands, pixel wipes the floor with any iPhone if you actually know how to use them properly. Plus the battery life is absolutely insane compared to the iPhone.
I never understand why people think the iPhone is better - besides its the "cool" thing to say. Guess im picky as a photographer. The iPhone is several time worse, and you can see it in the photos because: -Dynamic range is worse -Colors are poorly produced; not natural. -Shots are often over exposed -Lighting and contrast are completely off-base -Too much post-processing, which sometimes makes it look even more unnatural. I even had a family portrait last year with the iPhone 13 and when reviewing the photos people pointed out how the colors where washed out, lighting was weird, and the shadows/contrast was completely off. I was just like *Yep, I told you not to use that garbage of a phone for the family photo*
I've got both phones, and the pixel is a fantastic point n shoot for good daylight photography. But if you have the storage space & don't mind a quick tinker, using 48mp Pro raw on iPhone is the best detail out the both. I find the binned 12mp on iPhone photos to be over sharpened & not as natural as the pixel, but in Pro raw it's king! Pixel has come a long way with improved video, but iPhone is best, along with portraight photo's and video cinematic mode + night video. Night photos are down to preference, pixels are brighter which some people prefer, but when it goes wrong it's way to noisy.
If people are saying the iPhone photos is better then the pixel their delusional - pixles Been have the best camera specs. Don’t let reviewers fool you ..a lot of reviews out there that’s states it’s facts.
@Tushar Ahmed guess you don't know much about tech...there hasn't been any Android that could beat iPhone in video department..photo I'd agree nd btw ima samsung fan
5:31 bro you really think iphone is natural and real life like colour? can't agree on that with you , pixel has true tone and real life image output , it can be seen every time.
Google hopefully does use Samsung's 3nm for their next chip so they get that extra processing boost Vs Apple. Apple's chips cans simply do more computations which is especially important for video. Also there's a rumoured sensor upgrade.
Despite the minor difference between the two......................For the money it's a no brainer the Pixel 7 is a better value. With the iPhone a lot of what you're paying for is the name and not necessarily functionality but a name.
I am opting to buy pixel 7 but one plus 11 just launched and can someone please tell which phone has better camera and better raw capture capabilities so that I can use them with full potential. Please help me out.
yeah, phone manufacturers still oversharpening so much in 2023 is annoying. id rather no sharpening literally at all, just leave the freaking sharpness alone and give just the option to select how much sharpness i want (starting with zero and up to whatever value they want)
I literally spoke about this within the first minute. Tons of comparisons exist on the Pro vs. the Pro - I didn’t want to just make the same thing. This video is for people interested in buying the Pixel 7 and so they can see how it performs against the top line iPhone.
Just got my pixel 7. Love everything about the camera but why is the panorama mode so shitty? The resolution is sooo bad it is like an entirely different camera.
I love ue tom , it makes more sense when a real photographer compares these phone cameras for us than when other ppl who just love a specific brand make biased comparisons for us , keep it up tom
Pixels tend to under-expose during certain situations, lift shadows too much. I know as I have a pixel and iphone. The iphone tends to be more consistent too.
@@ItsTomRich I’ve seen this issue on other smartphones even the latest ones. It’s something I’ve noticed for a very long time. I’m surprised most reviewers don’t notice this.
What a vid, great job Tom👍🏻 I do prefer the iPhone in regards of fotos, of course its not going to be everytime perfect but as I am in the apple universe anyways its the one for me. Cheers mate🙏🏻
I so badly want the Pixel 7 Pro but it's not worth the extra but I know I'd miss the telephoto. I just don't want curved edges, either. The iPhone 14 Pro is out of question for me now. I also wish the Pixel 7 on the other hand was a tad bit bigger. Damn, dilemmas :D
Lol but did choose the iphone once on the blind test. On MKBHD video. People just choose the iphone because is a status symbol. That phone actually sucks.
Pixel 7 is the value king. I want to test iphone as main device but damn every year they keep pump the price and also did not fix some of my mostly desired stuff so I need to pass again and jump on pixel. :) p.s. probably you need also to compare pixel 7 pro vs iphone 14 pro..I guess the results will be little different or not?
main rear camera leaded obviously towards the pixel though you gave it to iphone , i think so you are getting paid from apple to provide wrong information😂
*iPhone support full 48 mp raw support *front cam has autofocus *way better portraits * wider ultrawide in terms of video *14 pro has much better video day and night better HDR video Dolby vision ProREs too *better stabilisation at 2.8k 60 *better cinematic mode at 4k 24 and 30 fps with rack focus and focus adjust * macro cam that can get closer also support macro video
You didn’t listen to my literal statement about this? There’s tons and tons of comparisons of the pro vs. the pro - this is a useful video to see how the standard Pixel does against the pro model iPhone. For additional purchase information and decision depth.
Hi Tom I had the Pixel 6 Pro good camera, but ohhh the bugs of the phone put me off risking the 7Pro. I bought the 14 Pro Max and the camera is better overall especially the Pro Raw pics which are amazing. I won’t be returning to Pixel again x
The unforgivable omission in the 7 and 7 Pro is no 25/50 fps. I have a Google Pixel 6 and struggle with flickering lights all the time here in the UK. Why are Google Pixels set to NTSC with no PAL Region settings. Most of the world is PAL. If Apple can do it, why can't Google.
@@ItsTomRich I have to push my exposure up on the screen slider and then the flickering goes - but then Im slightly over exposed, so there is a way around it
idk what is actually hapenning, but I noticed on my P7 Pro that when trying to take a shot of a screen, it does flicker for a couple of seconds and then the black bars disappear. I always assumed it is detecting the flickering and it slightly changes the framerate to avoid it.
It's funny how Apple users make videos on you tube to convence buyers to buy their products.every time a new android phone comes out .this Apple you tubers zombies talk bad about they rivels that is android .
Pixel phones have sold 26m since they were launched some 5-6 years ago now. Apple sold over 235m iPhones last year alone. If you’re on a small budget, buy a pixel. If you have the money to buy an iPhone, you’d be stupid not to. Most apps are better optimised on iPhone over their android counterparts also.
