Battery is why i went to the 15 pro max from 15 pro. I have enjoyed the phone but when i got the pro max made the experience so much better because of battery.
I once tried 14 Pro Max and it was too heavy, sharp edges were cutting into pinky... I'm afraid it would be same with 15 Pro Max despite it has better design... hmm
I thought the same thing about the pro and I was going to switch it out for the promax, but then I called the Apple people and they told me what to do to my battery and it last great throughout the day now all I had to do turn off, turn off the app refresh in the background
Phenomenal video!!! The aesthetics are spot on, your humor subtle but chuckle worthy and calming… not to mention the actual review is great! Love the shoutout to the 13 mini too 🧡🥔
We moved from 12 Pro Max and 11 to 15 PRO max and 15 pro…. It’s a testament to how fast these phones are - We can see some speedy app performance but not that much. Of course the 15 is much smoother. but unless you keep them side by side - you will not notice. Wither way.. good phones for normal folks who do not upgrade every year or two. We mainly upgrade every 4 or 5 years.
I’ve been tempted to upgrade from my 14 Pro but I’m going to wait for the 16 Pro, hopefully by then we’ll get some improvement in things that matter to most of us
I was on a Xs Max and bought a 15 Pro but knew within 2 days it wasn't for me. I kept it for a few more days but I just couldn't deal with the size so returned it and went back to my Xs Max as the 15 Pro Max now had wait times. However as luck would have it the very next day my Apple Store I had just returned my 15 Pro to had a 15 Pro Max in stock so I quickly ordered it and went to pick it up that evening and yeah I am very happy two weeks in. Lovely upgrade from my Xs Max. I didn't have any of the issues I saw some people mention like battery life problems (I get 7+ hours screen time easily), hasn't got hot, no screen issues, etc. I don't have any complaints other than the price 😂
Im an android guy and i really want to try the iphone now that its usb c. The only thing stopping me is that small battery. If im coming from s23u 5000mah, i would never settle on a 3000. Much more if it’s at the same price point. Hope they reconsider the next iphone generations.
As both an Android and iPhone user, the battery won’t be too different between the s23u and the 15 pro max. However, if you switch to the 15 pro, battery life will be worst than the s23u.
@@wendywanderluxe6965 thank you. I'm leaning more into just the regular pro cause im kinda just getting tired of s23u's big and heavy build. But yeah, the battery is still no for me this year. Hate that apple only give the best batteries to the max
I went from 14 Pro Max to 15 Pro. I love it. I love the weight, size, the rounded edges are so much better. ( I never use a case, ever.) The camera is fantastic. The Natural Titanium is beautiful. USB-C at 10Gbps ( 2x the the S23 Ultra). I'm happy with it. Honestly, people expect way too much out of the battery of a small phone. it's a 6.1" that is the same size as the regular S23 and still has better battery life than the S23 and the regular Pixel 7 or 8. (non pro models)
S23 has a 3,900mAh battery. Zenfone 10 is an even smaller phone and has a 4,300mAh battery. I wouldn’t even classify the 15 Pro as a small phone. They could absolutely fit a larger battery in there.
@@ZachAnderson true .apple has amazing hardware and chip but for some reason they refuse to add those features.. plus few UI enhancements for IOS (software side) would be great
Copiummmm I ordered the natural titanium for pickup at Verizon and never got it 4 days after. Went to the store, they cancelled my order without me knowing, ordered me a new one, and they gave me a white titanium with 256gb. Win win ! Loving mine with a camera protector forsure. Great video!
I am wondering if apple will let you backup your iPhone data to an external disk. I doubt it will happen they wouldn't want to lose the iCloud storage fees.
I had this phone now couple on days.. changed from Xiaomi 11 t Pro .. got this because of raw log video .. minuses are battery, slow charging .. and i like more Android system. But the cameras are incredible and thats why i bouhht this.. its more like a camera that Can do calls, internet , games etc .. i just have to use it well .. not all the time.
I am using the 15 pro since last 3 weeks.... The action button and titanium build is not a game changer... But the type. C is definitely a need.... It will get boring after 2 3 days max. But yea one suggestion from me go for. The max as that display definitely needs a big screen.!
My not so little Apple rant. I am fed up with the usual RU-vid shills (on Apple’s and others … reviewer freebies list … to avoid the term ‘payroll’). Not many of you (none …) mention the washed out on-screen colours of the 15 Pro/Max. I just came from a long line of Samsung phones, lately the S22 (non Ultra or + … the plain vanilla Galaxy S22) and there is simply no comparison! Samsung gives you the option of adjusting colour temperature and other nice things such as a ‘vivid’ and ‘natural’ setting with individual RGB sliders. Simply put, you can make the display look just as you want. Apple is offering … zilch! ‘True tone’ does not solve the issue neither do any of the, honestly, pretty useless settings in the Accessibility section such as ‘increase contrast’ or playing around with the horrid ‘colour filter’ options. There is some garbage talk online that the latest ios update affected screen vividness or something to that garbage effect. B****** … it’s just a lacklustre display. Another biggie, whilst I’m on it about the display. The 15 pro touts something like 1000 nits to 2000 nits peak brightness. What exactly the conditions have to be to achieve this … no f***** idea. Apple’s marketing department obviously had a wild time to come with this shit but let me tell you one thing; The lowly, almost forgotten (even at launch) Galaxy S22 … IS BRIGHTER AND MORE VIVID IN ALL LIGHTING CONDITIONS, be that outdoors or indoors. Believe me, I tried every possible setting on the 15 Pro … it doesn’t come close to the peak brightness of the S22. What a lot of b****** from Apple! Anyone thinking I am just a Samsung/Android fanboy … I am getting there! I changed to 15 Pro because I bought a MacBook Pro M2 last year. I like the MacBook A LOT but I am starting to REALLY disliking the 15 Pro. Then there is the issue of the hollow/plasticky sounding screen when tapping it. Samsung back their OLED’s with a metal plate. It means when you tap the screen it feels like solid glass not like a piece of plastic. Apple apparently attach the screen surround only and the OLED panel rests on the battery, hence the awful noise it makes when touching. Anyone saying this is not the case … tap from the edges inward and see what happens. - Really Apple?! Get your design folks sacked and try and snatch some from others, Samsung included! Battery life is … meh but that has, for a change, been accurately documented. Mostly, I assume, to re-direct folks to the more expensive MAX. - Problem is, Apple, in their infinite wisdom (!) have crippled the Max version by introducing that stupid 5x zoom. Most people shoot probably far more within the 3x zoom area. If you look at photos from the 15 Pro Max you soon realize that a large range of the zoom range below 5x is actually digitally done by the camera resulting in clearly inferior quality. This eats also into the 3x zoom and some way below! Now look and compare the 15 Pro (non Max) photos digitally extended to 5x and the compromise is far less, almost equalling the Pro Max’s 5 times zoom quality! Any more than that and things start to fall apart quickly but really, who actually shoots 5x and more to take quality pictures with a phone? If you do … get a proper camera or, if you really must a Samsung S24 Ultra though that one is just one huge, ugly brick … . Still, the usual suspects (youtube shills) of course love that one too (in order to stay on the phone manufacturers reviewer list). Which leaves me with the one and only redeeming feature of the 15 Pro that makes it stand out … the camera. Better than the MAX version, better probably than most Samsung’s including the new ones. It really is a great piece of technology (the camera, not the phone!). How a company like Apple can release such a flawed, under featured turd of a flag ship phone for top dollars is beyond me, especially as the make the lovely MacBook Pro’s. They seem to have truly lost it. I am within the 14 day return policy whilst writing this and think another Samsung (the non-Ultra … Plus or plain vanilla S24) is close. Enjoy
I remember when iphone fan boys used to say the heftiness was what makes the phone premium and give in an expensive feel in the hand, now its the opposite 😅, I know Zac is not a fanboy.
Hey man i have been following you from very long time your videos are worth the time in short Eye pleasing and a small request is that you make a video of how you set up your iphone look just like in this video.
I also was complaining about the battery compared to my precious 2018 huawei p30 pro that had similar longevity and smooth performance till tjis day. However. A17 in Iphone 15 pro max is probably draining the battery so this being said, it's pretty decent having in mind that it has performance like a laptop. 🤔 So, it's alright I'd say. Similar to Samsung s24 ultra let's say. I know I know. U get about 10% + for a day with Samsung. So what. It's alright. 😎
3:25 about action button: actually, the only feature that will work along the current action is double click. I find myself always clicking action button, when I want to increase volume, so even double-click for me will trigger wrong function😅 I like it the way it is with long press
As a note 9 user and android user for years I want something different as android is all the same and boring now. The iphone 15 pro max just looks awesome and a worthy upgrade. Ive kept my note 9 for so long because no other phone was worthy enough
im sry but there is no chance you are getting the same battery life out of it like with the 13 mini...dont get me wrong...i also had the 13 mini and love it to bits...but the battery on the 15 pro gives you like at least 2 more ours of screen on time. Awesome video btw!
I mean, I have no reason to lie about it lol. In my experience, the difference between the two is nowhere near what it should be. It’s been only slightly better. 15 Pro’s battery isn’t even 1KmAh bigger than the Mini’s. For me, it’s more like 2 more hours of SOT at most lol. There’s still time for it to improve though so I’ve got my fingers crossed! Thanks!
Like I mentioned in the video, some people experience it, others don’t. I also mentioned how the phone does still get warm, like most phones do. My Android phones get warm after installing apps. It’s not abnormal.
okay, do know how to resolve selfie camera quality, whenever i take photo from front cam , it is tooo much noisy once clicked.. before clicking it, on dipsplay it looks amazing.. after clicking it too dull... even my 200 dollars android is havinf better front camera @@ZachAnderson
@@ZachAnderson Im holding it in my hands (15 PM) and replying to you. Its slightly lighter. But design is the same. Just action button on the side. Otherwise you can not tell if its 13, 14, 15
Great but overated for most people. So many iPhone users just don't use their phone at full capacity: it's make no sense buying a phone this price unless you plan to keep it at least 5 years. 400-500$ smartphones are better value for everyday use
I’m also using 15 pro max, i have optimised charging set to 80 percent ( new feature) after moderate use at work i have around 50 percent left when I’m back home. And over night with always on display on only 1-2 percent drain which is totally acceptable. In short- Excellent battery
@@Dr.Ijaz_ab I’m using it all day on social media and calling over WiFi around 1 to 2 hrs with some use of camera as it amazing, with max charging battery to 80 as u do new features, but it sucks as many people I wish 17.1 fix issues
@@mohamedismail6521If you hate the device, I would simply take it back and buy something else. Don't spend your hard earned money on something you don't even like?.
So far it’s been just a bit better, but I am seeing signs of it improving with a few adjustments. So I think it’s worth giving the 15 Pro a shot. Your experience may be different!

Nice video! I have a question in regards to the display. Does the display easily get scratches, e.g. when you put it in your pocket or carrying it around or is it robust enough? I ask because many people claim that the have a lot of microscratches even after 2 weeks of normal/gentle use.
Funny you mention that. Shortly after i finished the video, I did notice a small scratch towards the bottom of the display and I’ve been treating the phone very well. I think it’s a fair assessment, saying it seems to scratch easily
