The fact that Apple no longer makes their own Leather case is seriously making me consider going caseless for the 16. But I'll still get a screen protector 😅
I thought the same thing last year with my iphone 15 but decided to try out the fine woven and it’s been almost a year of day to day use. The case is still in perfect condition, the only few scratches wiped off after a few days/weeks of use and every once in a while I clean it with water, soap and a brush and it returns to brand new pretty much. While leather is infinitely better, i’d suggest gibing fine woven a try
Def go caseless it feels much better in hand and talking from experience for example I recently dropped it on rocks and it slid to about a 2 ft drop to concrete face flat, and it came out unscathed, it def can take some drops I went caseless with the 13 pro max and it only shattered when I fell of a bike on top dirt and rocks which is a extreme condition imo (even so only the back shattered the front was mint). Now with titanium I would say much better and super similar to what’s shown in the video. But yea fs screen protector
@@Elikinyo iPhones are certainly usable without a case and can sustain an enormous amount of abuse, it’s just that they’ll get scratched and scuffed up and some people don’t like that
the brown leather case was the case i got every single year. best case ever. anywho, you can definitely get a leather one from etsy. idk about the quality but they do look real nice.
That’s crazy. I’ve been using my 15 pro max with a case on it since the day I got in February. I wish I’d watched this video earlier. I’m getting the 16 pro max in natural titanium as I just adore this color, and I’ll definitely try it without a case to see how I feel about it now that I’m assured the titanium durability is really something.
This is why I always have a screen protector. Not only does it protect your screen from annoying scratches whilst you own it but it adds to the resale value
Never used a case on my 15 Pro or my old 11 Pro but always use a quality screen protector. 11 Pro was never scratched mind you always keep in pocket on its own
If you had the blue or black titanium version there would probably be more scratches on the sides. But to be honest the everyday use scratches on a phone give an unique look to the phone. Just like leather cases.
Today i was using my 15 pro without the case and i dropped it off my bed and guess what? It has a level 8 deep scratch across the screen.. ive dropped this thing many times even on marble but nothing. Guess a wooden floor from a bed size drop is more powerful 💀 please use a screen protector for ur iphones as they scratch hella easy
Have had a 14 pro max since shortly before the 15s came out. I use a screen protector but no case. I work as a carpenter and hobbyist metal worker. My phone has very few scratches, I’m very impressed with the condition of it so far. As long as you do t drop it it is plenty durable even on a jobsite
i mean, if you put your phone face down without a screen protector, it will scratch because there are minor imperfections in the surface of the table/ground.
I've never used cases but for the last few years i do use a screen protector. Yes it's a little bit nicer without but the difference is less than when you wear a case, and whereas you can relatively easily not drop your phone, it's almost impossible to prevent your screen getting scratched somehow in your pocket or bag or something. Sure maybe you get lucky but you can't just be more careful like you can regarding drops
Whaat?! I still use my 13 Pro since the release day and yes I do use a case most of the time but sometimes I use it without case for a couple of days. And guess what, I don’t have even a single scratch on the side of the phone! What are you doing with it? No wonder you get deep scratches on the screen in the first month
I’m surprised by your screen scratches too considering I have a 13 pro and have never gotten any scratches on it and I have never put a screen protector on it! I have a Mous Limitless case on it and I’m going to guess the screen lift is probably why.
I’m definitely much like you love upgrading everything year and get super excited for the new phones. I’m getting the iPhone 16 Pro and I’m thinking I’ll end up going with white titanium this time around.

been waiting for 2 years for them to finally upgrade the pro size from 6.1" to 6.3", but after seeing the dummy models im not so sure its that big of a difference, il prob stick w the 15 pro max this year
Brother, if you have a 15 pro max you have no reason to “ upgrade “ to the 16 models, AT ALL. maybe when the 18 comes out then you MIGHT have a small reason to upgrade. Me personally, im gonna keep my 15 pro until it gets destroyed or the software updates stop lmao. I think everyone should do that too, to stop overconsumption 💯

@@chandlosandro nah i get it i js had to give my 11 to a relative so i got the 15PM 💯 i get that; out of nowhere yesterday i started to get too many mic problems though and it doesnt work rn, crazy but a small fix will do
I will literally not unbox the phone until the screen protector and case are delivered to me, and I choose really bulky cases like the Casetify Ultra Bounce. The 2-3 times a year I take off my case for cleaning I really admire how thin and beautiful the phones actually look 😂
Good vid, BUT…I’ve had a gold 13 Pro for about 3 years and no scratches on the sides and I NEVER have it in a case. I even dropped it a few times. With the dessert titanium and super thin bezels I think I’ll upgrade sometime this year to 16 Pro. But I’m in no rush.
How's your battery health on it? Got mine on release day still good at 100% and 177 cycles. Kept mine in a basic thin case with glass screen protector no damage.
I have the 15 pro. It has done great in durability. I have a case on 95% of the time. Once a week I go caseless. I do have AppleCare+ getting the 16 pro max
@@Ballsack44eh, i use my phone a lot. so i genuinely enjoy getting the latest and greatest phone, its something i look forward to. what's wrong with that?
Someone should make a slip-on/slip-off iPhone case for people that carry case-less most of the time, but might need to periodically put it in a half case... perhaps add a slot for a CC/license and call it a day...
I dropped my 15 Pro max from waist height and screen completely shattered. Had it like that for over four months barely got it fixed and then I also shattered the back too from the same height these phones are not durable at all. I mean, I didn’t even slam it into the ground. It kinda just fell flat into concrete.
i’ve been rocking no case on the 15 pro for about a year now and i don’t have any scratches on it anywhere. i do use a screen protector though cause i can’t stand scratches in the screen protector. but i’ve never dropped it
Are you trading your 15pm at the Apple Store? I have scratches too. Wondering if they will reduce the value. I am pretty sure they will not replace the screen even with AppleCare.
i’ve had the same exact phone since october 2023 without a case and it still looks brand new. i’ve dropped it more times than anyone in my household combined. you are just careless…
So... you have no body protection then complain about dance and scratches and you have no screen protector and then you complain about scratches on the screen. Hilarious really. I don't know why anyone would use a glass phone without a screen protector.😂
