@UTubeGenius I don't think so apple doesn't do much with their iPad so I can't see a foldable apple devices being all that great. In terms of how it works with other apple products and such and the software may be nice but apple doesn't really do the multi tasking thing or things that would make use of the big display if they do then I can see it giving samsung and other foldable a run for it's money.
Samsung needs MANY software and hardware improvements for me to consider their foldable. The 1 year older OnePlus Open has better camera hardware, smoother and smarter more modern looking software and an outside screen wide enough for typing. Samsung has become lazy and expensive.
I decided to give Samsung a try this year and move over to the Z Fold 6 from my iPhone. I'm really interested in the Dex mode when you hook it up to a monitor, a one device to do it all kinda sounds interesting.
You will not be disappointed, the Dex is great when you need to do some work on the go, hook up a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard or use a usb c hub to connect wired ones and be able to edit whatever documents or do anything really
Any faster than this on any new phone at this point is redundant. Geekbench, Antutu, etc seem almost irrelevant to me now if the phones core functions (what you spend 99% of your time doing according to the most used apps meter) are opening this quickly and smoothly. We're hitting the point of diminishing returns at record high prices. Thats not going to going to work nowadays with corporations raising prices to maximize their free cash flow. Also, interesting to see that I wasn't the only who noticed how much faster download speeds are with Samsung vs iPhone. I thought I was imagining that. This is much more noticeable when you have several devices on the same 1 GB down network.
I have the s23 ultra and personally I feel the fold 6 is way ahead of Apple in innovation it's different and the stylus sketch to image AI is awesome Could you make a full comparison between these two with all categories?
Perfect video for me because I have iPhone 15 Pro Max and am very interested in the Fold 6. I have a need to take notes in my lap with the stylus. Has anyone done this before? Is the Fold 6 large enough and sturdy enough to take notes with the stylus in your lap?

There’s no comparison here. The Samsung is in a league of its own. Apple needs a foldable phone. The iPhone 15 sucks and this is coming from a lifelong apple user. The only reason I don’t switch to Samsung is that I’m so locked into the apple ecosystem.
The pre-order results from S Korea show a 10% fall in Fold & Flip orders, inline with the key market analysts that predict that foldable devices are reaching peak audience. I doubt Samsung makes a profit from their foldable sales and I am not sure Apple is in a rush to enter a market sector where you lose money. Apple has so far stated that they tested Samsung folding displays and they all failed their durability tests, so Apple has delayed an extra 1-2 year to see if Samsung can improve their QC. So do not expect an Apple foldable until 2026 at the earliest.
Thing that annoys me is your talking about “edge to edge iPhone” literally isn’t possible. Yes you can have thin bezels but what do you want them to do? They can’t get rid of camera cut outs and hidden Face ID sensors. So that’s why the “dynamic island” is a thing. Better than just having 2 black cut outs that do nothing.
99% of the content on this channel is pointless speed tests (attempting to tap two screens simultaneously!!! seriously?? How can anyone expect to be able to accurately tap simultaneously on two screen?). How can something like this give any interesting insight? Fractions of seconds’ differences in opening apps are insignificant in terms of assessing real performance.
might be running slower cause the screen is double the size. so theres more graphics to render. (just a wild guess,idk how exactly these tests works but on pcs when you compare the same spec pc with a 24 inch and 27inch 32 inch screen it will have different scores)
Yoo nick i have a suggestion, for the wifi test, you should do it 2 times for each phone, because the phone that goes first mostly has problems if you do it twice its more accurate. Not saying itll work for you but im suggesting from my own experience ❤

Samsung still needs to improve those animations. There's that 1 second freeze when you close an app until it reacts to the touch and opens the other one
@vikinnorway6725 I was lifetime ios user who switched to the z fold 5. it's still lag free, They just need to improve the animations. Using system ui tuner you can fine tune your animation speeds which improved fluidity drastically

The real speed is not with opening apps, its by copying and pasting files... benchmarks sometimes lie... please reconsider the way you test the speed...
I wouldn't say all these results are of that with better components it's more the settings in software and how samsung defaults these settings on your device on samsung you can tweak the speed of animations and transitions etc
I have the s24 ultra after trading my fold 5 in for it. The fold is very nice but not for me. My iPhone 15 pro Max is my daily and like where apple went with iOS. Apps open fast on both devices and I love the battery life.

A little tip : - theres an option " Reduce motion" on iPhone if you turn that off , iPhone would be on par with Samsung on opening apps or may he faster but will not be slower, if you watch this video in slow mo theres a delay on iPhone before opening apps as compared to Samsung.. but with turning off that option, theres will be a very close competition in that segment. Does he usually mention hater comments complaining about him being wrong about which ones faster when opening certain apps? I thought he usually ignores that kinda stuff. First time I heard him talk about it though something must be different

According to what I see in this video is that the ram management on the Z Fold 6 IS matching the iPhone 15 Pro's, he's just percieving it to be slower because he has to reach his finger over a longer display distance to go back and forth.
@@vikinnorway6725 every phone performance gets affected while stressing them or while it's warm and apple is not exceptional so to know the best score from benchmark it would be fair to test them cool
@@vikinnorway6725 the benchmark results will be accurate only if it tested when the processor is cool and not stressed by multiple apps running in background.. otherwise every device will show false score it's for both apple and android
Would you recommend getting a fold 6? Thinking about it really hard but still seeing lots of durability concerns… Scary for the price tag but I’ve been waiting for this video!!
@jdauk04 i got mine yesterday, and I love it. It sure is an upgrade from my super broken note 20 ultra. I'm used to Windows, so this os just feels great for web scrolling and watching yt or whatever at the same time as for fragility, it feels solid, especially closed. It is also easier to not drop it closed as it's not as wide and long as my old phone in my pocket. As for the inner screen, I had the same concern, but it feels solid, but only time will tell how it holds up but so far I feel like I won't scuff it up as it's only at risk when open while I'm using it otherwise it's closed up and protected from scratching or marking the screen
I treat my z fold 5 like a regular phone. I've dropped it off a roof onto a concrete, I dropped it flat on the inner display, I use it in the shower everyday. Best phone I've ever owned
The main reason I bouth a fold 4 and the the 5 after that is because of face id. I hate face id. It's extremely slow, it unlocks your device when you don't want to, i doesn't unlock it when you need to, and you have to be in the camera's sight for it to work... And the notch or pill is just stupid. I really like the fingerprint sensor that INSTANTLY unlocks the phone the hundredth of a second you touch it, compared with the iPhone where it takes a second to recognize you, and then you have to swipe from the bottom of the phone, which is also not practical.
Both are beast and superpoweful smartphones the iphone 15 pro max has superior camera while the galaxy z fold 6 is a productivity beast whatsoever nonetheless you can go with anyone
I'm considering getting an iPhone as I've had issues with Android for a while now. I'm planning on getting the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Is that still a viable option? Or should I just stick with Android?
Get the 13 Pro Max, best bang for your buck tbh. It'll still receive more updates than some of the Android flagship phones rn. I have both iphone and Android so this is pretty unbiased.

idk i think in this case for unlocking the i phone is faster but the regular S line up is probbably faster due to the in display finger print scanner lol samsungs face unlock sucks and the side button scanner isnt as quick to reach
I don't like tests like these, because when one app opens faster than the other By like two milliseconds, there's nothing guaranteeing that you didn't click that specific app Two milliseconds faster since it's all by hand. But either way they're all quick enough And this shouldn't be a reason for picking one or the other
My dream iPhone should have a 6.9 inch 18:9 screen, so that I can watch videos without huge letter boxes. The situation with the foldables became worse for this kind of purpose. Even games in a boxy format means: no bigger screen estate because you lose some field of view because no developer wants to optimise their apps and games for it. 😢
Which storage capacity is the iPhone? We all know (or you should know by now)the higher the storage capacity on the iPhone the faster the read write speeds
