One thing to keep in mind: when you lock and hide an app on your iPhone, it moves to the hidden folder. Apple claims it’s hidden so well that even a search won’t reveal it. However, if you go to your battery settings and check the Battery Usage section, the hidden app will still appear there, making it easy to spot.
Yep, all this is so true, so anyone, especially another Apple ecosystem user could easily still find the apps, so hiding them is somewhat futile lol. This would only work with very young children, though for only so long, and people who aren’t tech savvy lol.
Which is correct no? You can’t search and open the app right ? You need to go to that hidden folder to see the app. Battery usage and what not , is that gonna let someone “use” that app or uninstall …???
Anyone else getting massive battery drain on their 16PM? My indexing finished and I go down like 1% a minute as soon as I’m on my Home Screen. Its horrible
Turn off all the background app refresh for apps u don’t need. Turn off location services for apps u don’t need. Use “while in use” instead of always for location for most things. Try to avoid widgets that always search for changes, such as weather, photos that constantly change, battery % of other devices, etc. they all make the phone use constant energy when checking for changes and updating. Use dark mode. Things like messaging apps, try to only use the ones u need. As social media and messaging apps are always checking for updates. These are things I do cause I mainly use my 16 pro for the camera and normal phone usage. If I want to check the weather, I don’t need a widget. I use a lot of shortcuts instead. I turn off always on display too. My battery drains so slow unless I’m filming or the occasional gaming binge. Hope this helps
I have an 15 Pro. really don’t need 16 Pro. Improved microphone and camera control button. This is the only difference.. + a slightly larger screen size.
@@dynohmike420Oh yeah~ Your right. But it’s very slight difference. It’s my opinion. + I bought a new iPhone every year, but I didn't do it this year. because it’s waste of money 🤫.
I own android and while watching this video I felt that it's getting more complicated than Android. Android is not really that complicated especially with camera settings.
Come on now. I’m the original person that includes wallpaper in video. I refuse to charge people for that. To each their own, but the only way I would charge is to cover the cost of the app and my time and give the rest to the artists.
To the pro max? I would say maybe try and find a 15 pro or pro max. You’ll get the AI features later on anyways and the two phones aren’t that different. If you absolutely have to have the camera button of course just get the 16
Depends. Titanium build, higher maximum brightness and lower minimum brightness, always on display, Dynamic Island, bigger screen, Apple intelligence, action and camera buttons on the side and more ram. Several things have been added over the years and it’s up to you if those things are enough of a reason for you. I have a 13 pro and I’m strongly considering a 16 pro as my battery capacity approaches 80%.
Following the recent update to iOS 18 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there have been intermittent issues with the automatic screen lock feature. Occasionally, the screen remains active and requires manual locking. Additionally, certain applications have been observed to shut down unexpectedly despite being fully updated.
Got mine today ,fresh out the box, perfect Video for now. I checked cycle counts on battery it was 0, then i Updated to 18.0 (for the 16s) now it says it count 1... doomed?
I have to bring my iphone 16 pro back to Apple as the capture button doesn't work properly. It freaks out and after pressing it to take a picture the screen goes black, iphone freezes and all my apps reboot. Within minutes the phone gets really hot and doesn't sink the pictuess till it cools down. Also my airpods lost their gestures until I rebooted the phone.
How's android coming along with iMessage, FaceTime, Apple Card, spatial vid/pics, airplay, hide email etc?? Even you know android is hot garbage, thats why you're watching vids about the iPhone
On another video it was said optimized battery charging and clean energy charging can drain the battery. I turned both off and have my battery slider to 90%. I have the 16 pro not sure if this is the correct thing to do, but I’m going to test this out and see what happens 😅
On my iPhone 16 Pro Max, when I double tap the photo button it just takes numerous photos. When I slide my finger up and down it doesn’t do anything. Is there something I’m not doing right or is there a setting I need to enable?
Just remember with 16:9 format the image is cropped at the top and bottom compared to 4:3 so you are loosing a bit due to the crop. So it's better in most cases to just use 4:3 and edit it to 16:9 after if you want to. Apple has it at 4:3 by default as this format looks better on print they said. But sure 16:9 is also great if you want to use it as a background wallpaper on your computer and things like that.
Aaron can you make a video to show how you use shortcuts. I am trying to use more of shortcuts but find most shortcuts don’t really save me time or aren’t that useful. I would love to see how you use them.
@@zollotech i did have an accessibility shortcut to reduce white light but with the display going to 1 knit brightness I don’t feel the need to use it on 16pro max
Camera control is a battery killer 😢 on my iPhone 16 Pro, it damn draws plenty of juice along with 3 camera setup, about 40% of battery drained in 90 minutes, this could be new normal with such a setup 😅
For those with battery issues, either one of your apps are running amok and in the back ground or your location services is running Best way is to stop all back ground process for all social media apps followed by non essentials and monitor Only when it’s be done you can monitor the drain, and for me it’s mostly background music apps and nothing major So likely a typical user problem of having ALL apps installed and leaving it
Current impression of the 16 pro is great all around. 8800 geekbench score, cameras are amazing, everything is wonderful. My only gripe is the battery life. Even after indexing had finished up after I updated to ios 18.1, the battery seems to get sapped away. I can see the percentage ticking down bit by bit. Maybe some background stuff is still going on but the fact this phone can't get me through a full day? Yeah I dunno.
You’re lucky 🍀 mate - my 15 pro max was at 100 per cent 💯 less than 3 months ago - bam 💥 88% per cent in the space of weeks and getting worse. This is what’s defined as a good that is not even of “merchantable quality”, engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct and unconscionable business dealings in their marketing and sales claims. Titanium that can be scratched by brushing against aluminium. Btw I’m Mac 🖥️ lifer I owned a Mac 1&2 in 90’s as a kid and worked all summer to buy the very first iPod. Point is 🍎 is rorting consumers, in 🇦🇺 spending 2600 on a mobile phone - we are entitled to implied (vastly superior to any express manufacturer warranties) unavoidable statutory warranties and consumer protections. Long story, i hope you live in countries with robust consumer protections.
@@hiloknowsall7462 Well my gf has the 15 pro max now. And I still have AppleCare+ on it, so yes, they get me each time. We‘ll see how the battery holds up. Did you only charge to 80% though?
A single full press brings up the camera. A single half press brings up the options for the selected items. A half double press brings up the menu. Its a bit tricky to do, but thats how it works.
@@zollotech No matter how hard I press, it does not open the camera with a single press of the camera control on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. And I've already tried everything. It's a software error.
@@zollotech I'm not too stupid to use camera control. 🤣 The camera opens when I press the camera button twice within a second. It is not that it works from time to time the first press. I think it's a software error that occurred when transferring from my iPhone 11 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Something must have gone wrong in the software. It was so that after installing the 16 Pro Max, I had to do a 1GB update. But it was still called iOS 18. I'll see when the iOS 18.0.1 update comes..hopefully it's fixed then!
That is mainly due to running betas. I also refuse to disable all the helpful features on my phones so it gets better battery. I prefer to use features of the phone to make my life easier and then just plug it in as needed.
Yeah. People have been building apps and charging for wallpaper using my idea of offering a wallpaper in every video for years. I just refuse to take money for something I have not created or pretended to create myself. I am all for crediting and giving money to the artists of it and of course the curation of the app, development, upkeep takes money. How much? I have no idea as I haven't done it. I think Zone Of Tech did it the right way with his app. But to each their own.
