Here are 3 possible options to fix your iPhone 4 right now!
If your iPhone 4 has a black screen, is unresponsive, frozen, blank display but can hear sounds or feel it vibrate, etc then try these 3 options.
1: Hold both the home and power button simultaneously until apple logo appears.
2: Hold the power button down for 3 seconds then press and hold the home button down so now you are holding both buttons down. Wait till the apple logo appears and hopefully your phone is back up and running.
3: If you dropped your phone its possible that the display connector could have gotten disconnected. Turn your phone over and press firmly all around your lens area. This may require someone with stronger fingers.

I have an iphone 4S. The power button has not worked for a long time so when I dropped the phone and the screen went black, (even though the phone was still alive), I thought my only option was to send it in for repairs. The quote I got was higher than the value of the phone, so I put it in a drawer! Several weeks later - by which time the battery had drained - I decided to charge it to see if I could somehow fix it myself. Plugged it in and VOILA ... up came the battery image! To my delight, it was fully functional once recharged. I'll be ultra careful in future, not to drop it! Conclusion, allow the battery to drain completely, then recharge.

After 5 years and a 1/2 my iPhone 4 still works fine, only problems I face is IOs version is too low for many apps and 25% reduced battery life. Other than that I can't kill this phone :P

I have iPhone 4. After buying iPhone 5s I haven't used this 4s handset for many months. Now I want to use it. But this iPhone is not switching on after trying all the 3 options which you showed in this video. I plugged it to a power source for few hours. I can get the Lock Screen but it shows the main screen for 1/10th second then black. I press the power button and here it lock. Then I can see the Lock Screen again. Same thing happens when using camera from Lock Screen

The link in the description is wrong. The iPhone 4 comes apart by sliding the back cover off. The link is for an iPhone 5 which you access through the screen side.

I did the phone camera massage and it worked. 6 months later it is black screen again. So I try the massage. Not the screen is blinking on and off. I will try to push a little harder but I think it is time to open the phone.
