The glass is $10 and the entire frame is $20. The $20 will save me a lotttt of time, stress, and is safer. You don't need a heat gun or sharp tools. I've seen people with the glass only replaced and you can reallyyy tell it's been replaced. It doesn't look good
i just fixed mine by opening and removing everything from the 8 plus to not damage any wires. it was a big process, but at the end got it to work and it now looks like new 🙂
A damn case works for me. After years of working with iPhones and being a user. Why do people bother!? They switch and upgrade faster than I can say zip-pity doodad!!
Why not use isopropanol alcohol to remove the glue? after you have loosened the rear screen slightly? Isopropanol alcohol dissolves the glue, making it less likely to break the glass further.

I believe that’s what that black circle you see in the middle is. As long as the cable doesn’t get damaged either when you’re replacing the back or when the glass initially broke, it’ll work fine.
Bro if you fix phones aa many times as i have you would know this method WILL not work if it does the phone has been worked on before in that area or got fugged up simple as that
@@NoNam3_xLeaderX im telling you the best way without the seperator tools is replacing the whole housing. Use liquid nitrogen. Or heat gun which i don't really recommend. Just my 2 cents. Make about 3-5 k a month on repairs. Meaning i run thru a lot of iphones damaged on the back.
If you replace the housing you have to remove like 30 little tiny screws which are mostly sized a certain way which will break the phone if installed in wrong spot plus most of the stuff inside has its own adhesive stuck to various components and if not removed in the right way and order will break components. On top if that theres a fuck ton more work that will go into removing the entirety of its guts even if you knew what you were doing which is more man hours going into the replacement and more risk of totally fucking your phone and turning it into a parts phone than if you did it the way in the video. If worried about damage than simply take 10 mins to remove the screen and battery then can crank up the heat a bit more making the whole thing faster and easier. Plus using a credit card or something plastic will reduce the chance of killing the wireless charging loop in the middle.... if worried about the camera lens than you can buy back glass with lens installed for like 13$ shipped.. the frame and glass can be anywhere from 25$ to 50$... so i dont like your advice there mr im better than you money maker genius #1 phone repair guru.. you probably cut yourself doing it and cried about it so now you refuse to do it like this anymore..
If you use a very thin flat screwdriver the whole camera lens will lift off then you fit the new screen and the just stick it back down after with a tiny bit of super glue or T7000

After repairing 50+ iphones, housing replacements, screen, battery, buttons, everything, i gave this a shot. This was by far the most frustrating, and time consuming repair i have ever done. Blood and sweat ! The glass was attached like concrete. I got the job done, but never again 😂 took me three hours 😅

i just tried doing this myself, and strongly advise against it. I wrecked a lot of parts on my phone trying to do this, just live with a broken glass!!!!!!
First time I said that is a fake but after I bougt an adjustable temp heat gun (set on 110 C) I couldn’t belive how easy the glass came off. Just like in the video.
No more than about 30 . If you have to buy the heat gun itll cost about 70/50. The back glass cost 12.99 the glue that I used costed about 7.25 and the heat gun cost 40

Rhino shield are the best! I use to go otter but the rhino let you enjoy the back of your phone with a screen protector. Believe it or not the bumpers are great protection I have thrown my phone a couple times with no damage! XR

Using a heatgun is not a good idea. Not only it can't melt the original Apple adhesive but also there's a big risk of overheating the battery and it may even explode. Don't try that guys. Spend a little money on professional service with the right equipment and skills.
Ok so you dropped your phone and broke the glass in it.. but phone still works.. think about how hard it hit when falling.. and how hard it would have to hit to not work again even with new screen and all.. so if you go to do this fix and put some fuckin force into trying to take the glass off than yes, you might kill it.. but think about wiping a babies face off.. you can take the time and gently wipe it off with baby wipes and soap or you can take it and shake it clean like a rag.. method 1 will not likely kill the baby but could have a reaction with the soap so theres always that chance but method number 2 if the baby lives they will likely have issues its whole life.. if you take the precautions like turning phone off, remove screen and battery, use plastic tools towards the middle and dont heat the phone where it burns you to touch it than the phone will be fine.. dont pry at the glass trying to break it apart puece by piece but try to loosen the glue and work the glass off, even though its gonna break, but just trying to get bigger chunks off will make you not use as much force when removing.. and if glueing than watch where you put the glue because it can seep through and cause shorts.. i just used the gel superglue in places and it worked fine.... it does suck removing the broken shit off though.. just dont be a dumbass and itll work.. or you can always put box tape over the brokeness and put it in a case...
If the sun doesn’t melt it all the time what makes you think it would melt It this time. Now maybe if leave it in a car when it’s really hot outside that could help
