I dont care about their costs ! They cant present a 7 year old design again in 2018 ! They should give us the third se option, a full lcd display with a notch for face id would break sales records ! There is a very big group amongst the customers who love the smart form factor, we dont want a big phone, just give us the se in x design !!! I would use it for 10 years, this design looks incredible

True, the 7 years old design would simply not work anymore. I have the original SE and my father has an 18/9 ratio phone and the SE looks just old. It is true that there is a thing that I like about my SE design and that is that I don't miss touch on the screen with my palm then I pick up the phone from the table which I always do with my fathers phone.

What about an SE 2 with a display without bezels like the iPhone X and with TouchID on the power button? There is another smartphone that has a fingerprint sensor on the powerbutton, so it is possible. That way they could have the cool X design without the expensive FaceID and with a smaller notch.

Hoping for the SE 2 launch tomorrow!... I would love to see the option 3 happening, as it iPhone 5 design with iPhone X's full display. It would be amazing to have a smaller design phone with better performance. I am currently using SE and i super happy with the design, performance , camera and ofcourse the price it came up with. So, eagerly waiting for tomorrow, hoping to have a new SE launch. 🤞🏻

i think the little notch is for the speaker, the proximity sensor and brightness sensor, the camera would be right below that and the home button would be flush against the screen glass and workd with 3D touch, and the screen would be like the actual SE just imagine the actual front of the SE and switch the camera with the speaker and the sensors o[---------]o (sensors and speaker) (inside notch) (no glass above it) ______________ (notch) O (Camera) (outside notch) (with glass above it) (this is the only theory i could come up with that fits most of the leaks)

I have an iPhone 5 which is stuck at 10.3.3 - So I would like a similar size iPhone with basic bits at a very low cost. So am updated SE with similar parts to iPhone 7 / basic iPad 2018 would be good for me. It is my secondary phone and I use it to interact with my iPad (3) which I would also like to replace with the basic iPad 2018.

Face ID only works with a11, a10 fusion does not have the neural engine where face id’s data is stored lol

i went from a 6 to a SE, to a x, and then a 8. I really liked my SE I dont like larger phones since I am very active. the SE's strength is its size; fits in your front pocket w/o issue and the battery was very good, better if you put some proper power settings. I do hope the new SE has rack charging. at first I was dismissive of this, since the charger was wired anyway; but one of the biggest problems on phones is the charging port, and being able to not use/break it is been very good. the camera on the SE was a little short, since the front facing cam was lacking, I hope they address this issue on the new SE2. however it was able to take good images with the back camera. I hope it does not have the X's interface its requires much attention to use, where the apple standard interface is very familiar and with finger print is miles less douchey to use in public by far. apple pay can be use while holding a conversation with out have to rudely dismiss a moment to pray to your phone. anyway I hope the SEs has a base of 64 gb's and at least the a10.

If there’s such thing as an iPhone SE2 it’s not having the A10 Fusion, Apple most likely will put the latest A11 Chip, as it did with the original iPhone SE with the A9

I have the iPhone SE and I can not remember when I used the headphone jack last time. I have lightning headphones since the iPhone 7 came out. I would gladly give the headphone jack away for a more waterproof design. Maybe even a bigger battery. I mean come on Apple this is a thick phone compared with the 8 and 8 plus. They must find a way to put a battery of at least 2000 mA in it.

Alexandru Draghi Apple didn't remove the headphone jack to incorporate water resistance. They did it for the money.

With this iPhone SE2 that’s apparently seems to be going ahead by all the reports & rumors I’ve watched....I’d definitely like the 3rd design but while have more screen real estate not having a similar front to the iPhone X, But rather just shrink down the forehead & chin by a little & leave the headphone jack in....Guess we’ll know very soon as it makes sense if Apple were to release this to be at this convention now rather than in September so it doesn’t take away from their main line up of new iPhones....

I don't know how important this is to everyone else but when I buy beautiful tech, I don't expect to have to carry around a load of extra plug in bits to make it work properly. I have some expensive pairs of non-bluetooth headphones which I don't intend to replace with inferior sounding BT pairs just because Apple design gurus say so. So they want to sell me a Y adapter (or two or three because I'll always forget it)? No. Too much faffing about. Make a unit that works for me or my upgrade path with iPhone looks like stopping at the 6S. Here's hoping the SE2 has the jack. Great work with all of this, @ZONEofTECH. You pull all the stuff together so I don't have to. Nice one... :-)

Flash and mic on the back of the “iPhone SE 2” should be vertical because there isn’t space horizontal due to Face ID.

What they should do if they really want money is making the next SE just that much longer or shorter so that it's just too big or too small for older cases, making us either buy their licensed cases and screenprotectors (and somehow making sure that others don't make those) or crack our expensive 4.2" display
