both phones are great for 2023 for those who want the home button. The SE 2020 is the better deal however, as the it has 3gb ram, esim support and the same CPU as iphone 11. The price difference between the 8 and SE2 is so minimal the 8 is not worth getting between the 2.
Used this video to help decide which to upgrade my extra OG SE with. Definitely the 2nd gen SE considering they are the same price at this point. Really gonna miss the small form factor.
SE 4 should be look identical to the iPhone XR, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 11/12, or the iPhone 12 mini. Apple has a lot of choices. Just don’t make an iPhone SE 4 based on the iPhone 8 design again 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
After 5years of using the Iphone 8 I ordered a refurbished SE2. The battery on my iPhone 8 is useless now. Doesn’t hold the charge, it drops from 80% to 40% in minutes. It turns off from 20%. The battery is dead. I hope the SE2 will serve me for a couple of years.
@@colinconnolly892 It’s a great phone with absolutely horrific battery life. I bought mine at the end of June 2020 and I currently have 78% battery health. I got my 14 Pro Max in October 2022 and it’s still somehow at 100% battery health 🤷🏼♂️
I recently upgraded my mum from a 6S to an SE2 which was a god choice as I think as it's identical to the 6S pretty much but a little more upgraded. Plus she's still learning the ins and outs of smartphones so I think upgrading to an iPhone 11 and so on would have been a bit far - it's nice to still have the home button to act as continuity.
Looking to do the same the old 6S Plus just isn't holding charge anymore and the 16GB storage isnt workable anymore in 2023, so SE2 looks like a good shout for her.
@@PatrickTCAPIreland If you can get the SE3 at a decent price either new or second hand that might be the best option as it's more up to date, but I don't think it matters either way.
Just wondering should i get ip 8 or se 2020? I’ve been using ip 7 for three years and its starts to heat up really bad i only sometime play games (download it when i feel like playing) I’ve noticed that ip 7 in the same game works smoother than most of my friends android phones. The main factor I dont feel like using bigger iphone is its portable size and weight
