0:47 if indeed you are using Davinci make sure you are using the optimized media files in the playback tab, perhaps its unchecked?

I don’t know what’s wrong with my mine. I record 4k cinema mode on my iPhone and Divinchi Resolve for some odd reason darkens the video.

Perhaps need a "color space transform" node. Toy around with the different settings within that node. For example: (input color space) REC2020 (output color space) REC709. or... Convert that file into DNXHR in Adobe Media Encoder. The iPhone file I'm sure is ProRes and Davinci kinda doesnt like that sometimes.

I'm having a similar issue with my iPhone 13 pro max, I just installed resolve 18 on my MacBook Air and tried to import a few older videos from my phone into my timeline but the playback is extremely laggy. I'll note that at the time I shot these videos they were recorded using the high efficiency format in 1080p. I tried generating optimized media and even tried to export in another format and re-import again but it barely helped. Will the high efficiency format from iPhones just always end up super laggy in resolve no matter what? Or is there some other fix I haven't tried yet?

can try Adobe Media Encoder. Encode into a DVXHD or HR format. :(
