Good informative video. Maybe next time take a little time going over the repair process because at times it seems you were struggling. Also pulling at the ribbons could have caused damage. Be a little gentle next time. Thank you for sharing your video.

@@TechMDRU-vid Hello. My iphone xr lcd was damaged, i replaced it with oem original touch lcd screen i removed it from icloid locked iphone xr like new. Half of the screen does not work. THe screen on the icloud locked logic board worked 100% as new. What can i do?

no I really don't use that calibration equipment. Most people who are going to be watching my videos are not going to invest in that type of equipment. I don't because people don't really care about true tone.

What is the adhesive for that comes with the repair kits? Is this in case you don’t warm it up good enough and rip the old adhesive?

I recommend using T-7000. Just scrape off the old adhesive

I can't speak for this person but it's a dangerous repair in itself. It requires separation of the digitizer and it's not usually cost effective.

If you want too. But water seals break down after a year of use. So no point on most iPhones.

I had the same problem. Stripping the screw heads. The last straw was when I stripped the head on iphone 8 home button. I use the wiha 26631 picofinish ti-wing ty000 screwdriver. I have never stripped another head. Its all I use now.

I replaced my screen yesterday and today whenever I get a phone call the screen goes black and I can’t access any buttons. I tried all of the troubleshooting items I found online for this problem to no avail. Any idea what I might have messed up when I switched the screen? I’m thinking I need to open it up and take a look at but I don’t know what to look for. 😂

This only happens on phone calls and Marco Polo. Everything else works great.
