You do know that Steve Jobs was a huge douchebag... When Google released the first Android phone, the guy had a mental break down and literally said that he will sue the living shit out of them even if it takes his last breath, however he himself was quite prominent for stealing other people's ideas. However I do agree, iOS 6 + iPhone 5 was perfection.
I remember when the 5s came out. It was literally instant for everything. iOS 7 was so well optimized for it. I miss that. Definitely sad to see these old firmwares go.
Back in the good ol days of iOS 6 and below. I remember the only iOS device I ever owned was my iPod touch 4 and even that seems faster than a 4 on iOS 7 or a 4s on 9.
Watching this on my 128GB iPhone 6 still on its original iOS 8.3. Bought it last year online brand new sealed. Was last one in stock. They probably had this thing lying around for 1,5 year. I was lucky. Still super fast. Ran a benchmark and it is faster than an updated iPhone 6. Also never updated my old iphone 5 it always stayed on iOS 6. I still think iOS 5 and 6 where the best, and also the iOS versions before . Also miss the old RU-vid app that iOS 1 up to iOS 5 had, so simple and no commercials. Good memories.
I think 5s with ios 7 was the bestest. There are reaally sharp and smooth effects on ios 7. Not as choppy as ios 9 or 8. 7 was the best in the new-looking iOSes. It was really good and sharp and smooth
And this is really what planned obsolescence is all about. With every single iPhone I’ve owned, the very last firmware version that was available for it was unbearably slow which led me to get new iPhones. The OG iPhone ran so nicely on the first firmware versions. The very last version available was impossibly to use.
My iPad Air 2 is still running the factory 8.4.1 OS. Perhaps this is a challenge to see how long I can hold out. Three weeks from now: "Oops. Well, at least I will enjoy having the latest iOS X beta."
This really should have included the 5c. It would have been nice to see if the 5c has modified 5 hardware optimized for iOS 7 or if Apple literally just plucked the inside of a 5 out and put it in a plastic shell.
Well done! Such an interesting video that everyone was thinking of making, but no one actually got around to. HUGE props to you for actually being the one to make it! I think I'm definitely going to keep my iPhone 6s on iOS 9 after watching. I also really miss iOS 6! Such a polished operating system. Will Apple every produce anything like iOS 6 again?
well i had an iphone 5 running ios 6. was fluid and liked the UI better than ios 7.but my friend made me upgrade. than it started to be buggy. now i own a galaxy note 4, at least the updates improves the performances, i wish newer iphones could run ios 6
I've been thinking how older phones with original software would perform compared to newer ones with their original software, and this video demonstrates that! Thanks for sharing this! Enjoyed watching your videos!
That old notification centre looks so gorgeous though. The weather widget especially. - PS. When doing the video editing, did you work with proxy or optimised media?
Subbed dude, I like the content. Honestly, people like EverythingApplePro could definitely help you kickstart your channel, like even a simple tweet about it could really help you get noticed. I know the feeling. Cheers!
i have the iphone 4s and i totally screwep up when i updated it to ios 9.3.1. it became soooo slow and the apps crash and freeze all the time, even after i restored it. and the worst part is that i cant go back to older firmwares :(
Are you still on 9.3.1? or you updated to the death 9.3.5?? You can now downgrade it IF YOU STAYED on 9.3.1 up to 9.3.4 just not 9.3.5 just search fce 365's channel to jailbreak it and dual boot it to ios 6 or 7 or any ios version you want!
Kudos for taking the time to test how different generations of iPhone runs on their original and latest iOS versions. Now I know I'll hold back on updating to iOS 10 on my 6s until I watch your comparison video.
Josiah Alexzander Only one person here actually expressed disgust. Also when written as "bæ", the word translates directly to "shit" in Danish; not the "bae" we're all familiar with.
u put a smile on my face with ur question to Siri, i want to say hi, from Cairo, Egypt waiting for more iPhone 7 leaks, u r doing a great job keep it up :)
