@@fF-jb4gs Oh yeah , I have no illusions about that, Adams & Marty passed on information to the British about IRA units like the ones at Loughgall, Strabane, Drummnakilly, Coagh & Clonoe who were opposed to the Sinn Fein strategy of taking seats in the Dublin & Belfast parliaments.

The SAS couldn't beat them after 30 years so what chance did these young lads have in the back of a 4 tonner. This conflict should have had a negotiated peace settlement in the early 1980`s but Thatcher's Conservative Government wanted to escalate the conflict

It could contain them, when informers are giving away information on operations like Loughgall, you know it’s time to think about strategy.

The IRA beat themselves, with the amount of touts and spooks in it and at the end Sinn Fein accepted the full terms of the British conditions for a surrender.

@@jimcazador6057 That's debatable, SF now the largest party across Ireland , and over time voter demographics in their favour for Border poll year on year. They knew it couldn't continue indefinitely and conflict was a stalemate of sorts. Brexit also since boosted their chances. SF playing the long game.

Huge lie there from Rupert saying one of his chaps was returning fire on target over two casualties from the back of a truck before the last of 5 shots had been fired at them....must have been G.I.Joe...😮

@@thomasshepard6030 We know that both the British Army/RUC and British government lied about huge things like Bloody Sunday, Ballymurphy, & Springhill massacres, the Gibraltar killings, covered for people and events connected to the Glenanne Gang such as giving Jackson the Jackal immunity for murder and made cover stories the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, colluded with the UVF in the 70s and the UFF in the late 80s/ early 90s, lied about the Guildford 4, Birmingham 6, Maguire 7 and Judith Ward etc. Stands to reason they would make small lies to like this.

@@martin-davidsonI believe you have those difficulties. It's a pretty well known slogan of right wing conspiracy theorists.
