Was practicing your guide and setup for Brands Hatch and left the setup that you used and found I was qucker using it for Oulton in case anyone wants to try it out 😊
Love the videos. I watch them all, whether racing or not. Just bought a new house and we move next weekend, so it was awesome to get to race with you today as one of my last races before breaking down the rig to move.
Shaved off half a second on this set up compared to iracing setup. Thanks as always. Also, heads up, I was looking for your video but scrolled past the thumbnail multiple times thinking it's a lap guide with fixed set up. Took me a couple of go overs before I noticed the "Stop" ' :'D
@@edwardbuchanan871 Oooh Edward. I'm waiting anxiously for your race video. I went in super keen and got 21 incident points in 3 back to back races. Nearly all incidents were caused by other drivers wrecking, not putting the foot on the brake and just rolling across the track into the path of oncoming cars, or me getting Lance Strolled up the jacksie when slowing for traffic/incidents ahead. (In a shell-shocked state, I did get a couple of off tracks on my own.) In 3 races I'd gone from healthy SR to being squarely in the drop zone for my newly printed A license. So... I did two more. But this time, not qualifying and starting from as far back as I could. All I tried to do was stay out of trouble and drove like a granny going to church. Both these "races" (not racing actually) gained me back SR and IR. My last race was just ridiculous. I went from the very back and finished on the podium. I only did one overtake. The carnage was surreal. One by one they murdered themselves in front of me. The driving was just sad. ... Yeah, this is my 3rd season with the open Rays. It seems so changed and different to the clean, skillfull racing that I first experienced participating in the series. I'm really hoping that my 5 races were just unlucky flukes for me and that you don't have a similar experience. I wait in anticipation to hear, hopefully, good news.
@simonolsen9995 I think there is a lot of new blood in the series, which is good but there is bad to go with it. I had a bonkers race too and 1 amazing race. There was a recording issue but I think I can patch it together, stay tuned
Good video and setup. I wanted to run this series last season as my intro to Formula cars but the rain put me off and I didn't like the rookies version. Will at least do my 8 races for S3 now we have some weather variety.
Agreed, it's great to be back in the Trophy series again. Love the filename! Do you use different setups for hot and cold conditions or were you just celebrating how good the setup was?!
Feels good to have a car that doesn't slide through the corner! The setup was from the last time at oulton, mid-20s, temp. If the track was in the mid-30s there might be a little change. Hard to say until you're on track and feel it out
Thanks! Felt good but the time didn't seem as low as I thought it would be. There might have been some updates to the track or car. I guess getting into a race will answer the question 😉
Subscribed to you! Your setup has definitely made me faster (newbie here, my 2nd iRacing season) Are you doing the whole 13 trophy races? will we see setups for the other tracks as well? The Rain Race will be interesting, wonder what kind setup is needed for rain.
That is not bad at all. Glad you like the set up. It's a tough call. The higher understeer might be good for rookies, but it sure makes the car look bad compared to how it can be
Hey Edward. Could you do a video on how to set up the FF1600? and what all the changes do / mean? Love your content and you've helped my racing massively with your set up guides and racing guides.
Lots of people have had that issue. Iracing doesn't play nice always. When you adjust 1 camber it can change another or your toe value, watch for that. You can also try adjusting camber, toe first, then lower the ride height
You sure can, but it takes some practice time for sure. The fixed setup is so different from gearing, to turn in, to car rotation. The car feels similar, but it's different
