Imagine a shop that stands out so easily in a busy bazaar, imagine a place you can find parts and pieces of a creative mind in a small room. Imagine a place where the colors are so mixed but so pleasing to the eyes. Imagine a shop where you can purchase your souvenir and also have a drink by the wall designed with antics that used to be day-to-day items.
This beautiful place is a result of Sevda's creative mind. Sevda is Iran Azerbaijanian, who loves Iran and is so happy to live in Yazd. Most of the artwork is hers and she is so proud to explain all the details in the shop and the items she is selling. While I travel I do my best to support artists and people who do the manual work to bring something physically valuable using their imagination with a mix of cultural touches from the destination they live in.
So I did get a necklace from her which is shaped like a pomegranate. And pomegranate has a special meaning in Persian and Iranian culture - it is national fruit and has a deep religious and cultural place for Iranians. Overall, this shop had a special place in my heart not only because of its appearance but also the kindness of Sevda & Mehdi.
