Iran helicopter accident: Fars News Agency calls on Iranians to pray for President Raisi

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi is still missing after a helicopter he was travelling on was involved in an accident in a mountainous area of the country’s East Azerbaijan province.
Adverse weather conditions, including heavy fog, are hampering rescue efforts and the helicopter is still missing.
Iran’s interior minister says authorities are waiting on further details
Iran’s Fars News Agency calls on Iranians to pray for President Raisi.

That protocol doesn't apply to a President & Foreign Minister, it applies to No1, 2 & 3. No3 is typically the head of the legislature. LBJ was the VP & 2nd in line. A FM is typically not in the line of succession. A President will almost always fly with the FM on a foreign visit.

I thought the same. And Iran was seeking partnership and normalization with AZ, Raisi was there to open their 3. joined Damm. However it will never be provable if there was foreign involvement, neither would Iran necessairaly want to proof it to the world, cause it would also show some negligence on their side! So if that helicopter crashed and any contact between the helicopter and the command site was lost that means that in all probability there is little left of the aircraft. If so President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir Andullahian in all likelihood have passed. Since Iran is petrofied of any challenges to the regime the news deliberately is kept under lid.
