Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian spoke to CNN's Erin Burnett in an exclusive live interview amid rising tensions with Israel and ongoing conflict in the Middle East. #CNN #News
I tend to agree, but obviously the host is going to be biased. I doubt an interview of the american foreign minister by an iranian host would be unbiased.
Exactly. When America invaded Iraq, they called it self-defense when it wasnt. That set a precendant-so why cant other countries, like Iran or China do the same thing??

Because they know very well that he is a liar and is trying to deceive the Palestinians, so there is no need to waste time on this nonsense. If he was honest, Iran would have moved on their behalf beforehand, just as its latest move is for the sake of the Iranian embassy in Syria and nothing more.
Can cnn find out why USA decided to use double standard foreign policy ? is that helping ? Why Isreal is more important then USA’s own interest ? Why USA is more interested in hijab but not Genocide ?
Miriam thank you! Why are we helping other countries people and not our own? Americans are suffering and we're America's people it is ridiculous! Second when did these countries ever help us? Like I already did as much history research as I could on Russia and Ukraine and this is why I say this. Maybe they have helped us but why are we covering that up then and is it the reason we are helping them now? Blackmail? These are just some of my thoughts. I do not like people being hurt or dieing let's make that clear but I am so sick of this everyday crap when America is suffering!
What propaganda is that? They are trying to figure out the mindset of Iran and their intentions, this is clearly valuable news and very useful to understand the current conflict. They're asking question from an Iranian official ambassador, and get lots of info to show in the news, about what the situation between Iran-Israel might be. Also it's very important for people in USA, since the US won't be sitting still and allowing Iran to make war in such an important area for vital, American interests. This will also probably involve Britain and other European powers, since the oil flowing out of the Persian Gulf have been needed to make society run for over 100 years now, since the time Churchill advocated to make the ships of the Royal Navy run on Persian oil to gain more speed then the coal fired German ones.
There is a time and place for every thing. I’m all for women’s rights. In the middle of a potential war, asking a man who is beyond stressed that another country is about to start WW3 was ….
@@philh2932 I also don't like the Hijab laws, but surely 10-15 thousand woman's brutal demise is more important than their freedom to dress? So these concerns and questions seem phony now.
Don’t do that cowardly what-about-ism. It’s fair to talk about both the foreign policy and the domestic policy of Iran in this interview. You are welcome to argue why their hijab policy is justified for you but don’t use the war as a shield from criticism. Most of the interview was about the war btw
Veil is part of Iranian culture its been even before islam came to Iran west is trying to force their culture and values on Iranians with propaganda and colour revolution, its not going to work Iran is an ancient Land with a rich culture and history

@@darkhorse381Hijab is just a tool to cover yourself. If a woman goes outside it's her duty to cover herself so that other men(i mean not all men)can't and dare not to objectify her body. It's a basic principle of Islam. The same goes for men. There are also some rules and regulations which are also non-negotiable. Hope you understand if there is any doubt let me know and i will try my best to explain. Good Day 😊
His comment was spot on about the war crimes in Gaza. Why is she asking about their cultural practices when women and children are being murdered in Gaza. It’s not like the U.S. doesn’t have its own nightmare of women’s rights being suffocated.
BECAUSE I LIVE IN IRAN WE HAVE BEEN ASS RAPED BY THE REGIME SINCE 1979 ! Wtf go educate yourself instead of downplayin and glorifying the regime. My cousin was lashed just for being gay. Wtf is wrong with u non iranians glorifying the regime
If you were living in Iran like our daughters being physically attacked, killed tortured all the time , you would be worried about them not Gaza. They treat their own people with hostility and no mercy and on the other hand worried about what’s happening in Gaza!. That’s not Iranian people problem right now dealing with economical hardship due to ayatollahs support of Hamas terrorist acts. Please educate your before making any comments 🙏🙏
Not like in Iran... and I would Never occlude anything wrong happening in the U.S. or anywhere. I would never practice that cynicism, Hypocrisy, as the barbaric Iranian regime does... Check out Aynaz Anni Cyus on Iran. It is a Nightmare to be a woman there, however awake an individual is or is not to their oppression, their human Delimitation, the theft of their one life, under retrograde inhuman cultists... Let the reporter ask away... shine all lights onto the crushing of women always. You cannot Listen to a man who is part of such a regime. That is the point.
I will say this about double standard countries they condemned the attack on the Mexican embassy but the same countries aproved Israel attack on irans embassy!
It wasn't an embassy. It was a building next to embassy . Iranian used it to make safe heaven for troops and top generals. It was filled with troops in foreign country and cannot be diplomatic facility.
Iran literally said they will defend itself no matter what it has the right to defend itself That cracks me up how she changed the conversation an when he replies about thousands of people who were massacred in occupied palistine she cuts him off It back fired on her an so she cuts him off double standards respect to the ambassador who was very calm in his honest answers
She asked this man stupid questions. Cause if she asks the right questions as a real journalist seeking truth should for how long do you think she gets to keep her job??
She redirected the conversation into ' hijabs ' to avoid talking about the matter at hand . A deceptive way to end the interview , deceitful . He looked at her with suspicion , cannot blame him , he is being straightforward , she is being sneaky
I was expecting her to start twirling her hair with her finger, slowly licking her lips, and then give him an up-skirt shot, watching his eyes closely in order to call him a hypocrite !!
It could be translated faster or edited that way ? The 2 languages translated are not word for word identical. I’d want someone who knows both languages to comment on difficulty translating them.
@@chrisfrank2664 I thought so at first but there is literally a segment when she was about to start speaking and she said she's waiting for the translation to end. This means she is hearing the translation at the same speed we are.

Iran "If Israel sends drones to Iran that DESTROY Iranian targets we will send more drones to Israel for Israel to DESTROY!" Iran looks silly now and Israel looks strong.
IRANIAN ARE WISE PEOPLE. NO MATTER IT IS POLITICS OR RELIGION. THEIR GESTURE AND WORDS ARE REMARKABLE. VERY LEADERLY. FROM BANGLADESH. IN THIS DATK WORLD IRANIAN LEADERS ARE MOO AND ALL OTHER ON EARTH ARE JUST STARS. From Bangladesh.
I think the final question was for me rather ridiculous when put in context with the ongoing situation of Israel aggression in the region expanding the configration of the war in the Middle East. This is an internal issues and does not affect the lives of any woman outside of Iran. Perhaps CNN should focus on telling us the truth about Israel and its treatment of Palestanian women.
You sure about that? Or is everyone escalating and the US is primarily to blame because our leadership has wanted war with Iran for decades? Our government does not represent the people.
@@user-mt8zc8ww1y So you support Israel bombing Iran, then Iran purposefully responding with a face saving weak response, and then Israel attacking Iran again? What do you think the US would do if some other country bombed our consulate? Israel should've taken the win. Now there's a chance many will parish and as far as I can tell, it's due to ego.
Well hamas is Iranian trained and funded. So when they were murdering and ra*ing women and children it was basically Iran. They also control hezbollah which is why Israel killed the military leaders in Syria. I know you support terrorists but I hope you're smart enough to know Iran is behind hamas and hezbollah. Try getting your news from somewhere besides tiktok.
Totally two different subjects, isreal is killing their enemies, on the other hand They are killing their own people. While there is Chios in their own country Iran they need to mind their own business not Isreal dude!
Yeah, they're not. Newsflash, there are no "good guys" in this conflict. Both sides are asses, and obviously have no regard for their own people's wellbeing. Both sides just want to kill each other, and they're happy to sacrifice their own people and their futures to do that.
Article 61 Inited Nations: “Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. He's a top diplomat. He's certainly not going to be influenced by a reporter. Diplomats constantly try to manipulate everyone and are extremely immune to being manipulated. Also, he's not the one calling the shots when Israel is being attacked.
American government funding Israel and American reporters interrogating the victim of Israel’s initial attack. Israel will soon ask the US for funding of the new horror show they’ve started against Iran. Once again i’m embarrassed of my country.
yes because to acknowledge that means our country used American tax dollars to help Israel fund genocide against Palestine and slaughter of the Iranians.
@@frwansie The casualties match the demography, men have died too, they just aren't mentioned as much because saying women and children (who are the bulk of the deaths, because they are collectively the bulk of the population) emphasises that they are civilian casualties. As an American, I acknowledge that any wrong action would have its consequences. And seems the Iranian wanted to avoid deaths and announced their attack in advanced and even shared those details with the White House, but seems Netanyahu wants to drag US into the conflict and yet seems to me our president can't see that, smh
Scott Ritter:" Israel believed it could launch a strike against Iran & suffer no consequences - it no longer does. It was deterrence, it means that in the future, if Israel plans to take action against Iran, it will have to consider the consequences of its actions knowing that Iran has the capacity to reach any place, hit any target in a region in Israel
The consulate was bombed because one of the Republican Guard officers within the building had helped plan the Hamas attack against Israel in October 7, 2023.
How is Israel going to retaliate against Iran's retaliation? The scales are even now, a further provocation by Israel would warrant a response from Tehran.
You should read or watch a docu series on game theory and the nature of our world's geopolitical strategy. Tit-for-tat strikes are likely to continue until diplomacy wins or war breaks out.
In the context of the Bible, the women who were asked to cover their heads were former prostitutes who turned from their ways and accepted Christ in their lives. They go to church and covered their heads for decency as they were formerly prostitutes. Context context context ! Muslim on the other hand took this to a different level and classify all women as whores and should cover their heads to help men curb their carnal desires.

One hijab girl got oppressed but there is thousands of thousands of Americans and European girls who are willing to wear hijab happily and willing 🙏🕋📿☮️🕊️
Well don’t call them American and European girls, these Arab and Muslim born girls. And to me if they choose to do that hooray to them but if they are forced to do what they don’t believe in it it’s sad. Hijab is a forced act upon women to make the inferior to men. If you as an American woman are that naive to accept to this wrong tradition you need to educate yourself to the history more.
It's called protecting his citizens. The number one goal of any leader. Unlike Biden who cares more about illegal aliens than the supposed 81 million voters who elected him
It's all linked. The Iranian regime is responsible for Hamas and it's internal opression symbolised by the hijab. There sre many Iranians who see Israel as their ally. Be quite something if Iran de Islamicizes
Israel is wanting American blood to be involved in defending it, just like they did in Iraq. The Zionist American government does not work for American people, they work for Israel interest first.

Erin, weird questions. Do you expect Iran to show their cards to you, for CNN public, really? Wish you could have asked about the illegal Israeli bombing of the Iranian Embassy which escalated it all. Will Iran seek a U.N. resolution of condemnation, etc?
So Israel just woke up one day and said I want to mess with Iran this war in Gaza is boring? Send in the missles? Hmm. Food for thought and for you to do a little research. See both sides for what it is. ;) you might understand a little more. Happy hunting.
