Peugeot, the best car of the year 2000, started to be manufactured in Iran due to the low security of this car, it was sold in 2022, but it is used very well in Iran, such as transportation to Iran and Iraq. In Iran, Peugeot 405 was very expensive.

Fortunately, the Samand and 405 will be taken off Iran Khodro's production lines very soon, as the President is not happy with their build quality and safety. He has ordered them to produce a budget car, which will be safe and reliable. The Tara and K125 project will be much better quality products, in terms of safety, due to them being a Peugeot PF1 platform. The Dena and Soren are still based on a 405 chassis, so hopefully if they decide to make a MK2 of these cars, then they will be using a PF1 platform instead. Iranian cars still lack reliability, safety and build quality. It isn't out of their reach to do it. Iran has always said it would like to be the Japan of the Middle East, so inorder to do that, prove it buy producing products that can compete to that level of sophistication and reliability. Iran needs to provide a car with 7 years or 100,000 miles warranty. Produce parts that are engineered to last 150,000 miles like a Mercedes. And the price tag of a Dacia or Skoda. All of these things are within reach for Iranian engineers to do. Build a product that is decent enough to meet the latest world standards, nevermind the domestic standards of Iran.

@@Schmidtczech Skoda are still very affordable cars. They have clearly increased over time, however, they not an Audi or a VW in terms of it's pricetag.

Obviously Peugeot 405 was designed and made in France but later started the assembly in Iran. As time passed, more parts was made (NOT DESIGNED) in Iran. As of today there is no car designed and 100% made in Iran.
