by the way Luke, fact about Iraqis, they're the most approaching people to strangers you would ever meet. they like to mix up, explore and introduce to other cultures that's why they have been ranked as the most generous people in the world.
@S73 becuase of the war between Iraq and Iran and alot of political problems and other things nevertheless alot of Iraqi people serve food, water, and sherbet during Muhrm month.
I've lived in Baghdad my whole life and never thought about taking the train to one of the governorates! Now your video has encouraged me to take the train to Basra as it looks new, clean, and comfortable. Going to share this video with my friends to convenience them to try the train :D
Iraq like Vietnam always appeared in the news for the wrong reasons, but every time I see it I marvel at how beautiful it looks. I hope Iraq gradually develops and can even welcome many more tourists like Vietnam.
One of the most amazing videos I have watched recently: normally when RU-vidrs arrive in Iraq they are surrounded by bodyguards with guns. You guys just turn up at Baghdad Central, buy tickets and hop on train to Basra. God Bless the Iraqi people and God Bless RU-vidrs who show us ordinary people meeting other ordinary people around our planet!
So good to see that the Iraqi railway system is starting to recover and develop again. Let us pray that soon the old Taurus Express from Baghdad to Istanbul will return. Love and Peace to all Iraq; thank you for sharing this wonderful and heartwarming video with the world. 🚆
Paulie definitely worked in the marketing business because of how professionally she presented the train. Lol I almost bought myself a train 😄. My wife and I love your videos and I hope that you visit Iraq again! We would love to show you around.
We used to take the train from Baghdad to Basra to visit my grandpa. This was back in the late 80’s. We left Iraq in ‘91 so this is very cool to see, thank you for sharing and safe travels!
amazingly nice clean train was not expecting this from a country that has gone through so much the videos shows the country is clam and peaceful and train is the best way to visit the country love from Pakistan to Iraq wish peace and prosperity
What a nice train and sleeper compartment! I recently took the Amtrak auto train from Florida to DC and loved it, but our roomette wasn’t nearly as nice or spacious as this! Not a knock on Amtrak at all, just genuinely impressed by this train.
Thanks guys you brought back great memories of my time in Iraq (1977). You will be happy to know we had the same experience at the train station. After an hour of no action though we decided to try our hand at hitchhiking to Basrah. Found it easy and hitched everywhere from then on. We found the Iraqis to be the most generous and friendly people on our travels. They would pay your bus fare, restaurant bills, drivers would take us where ever we wanted to go AND always with a smile and a laugh.
Iraq has cleaner and fresher trains after such a long war than we have in my country. Our trains are old and trains stations are a wreck. Good to see Iraq is getting back to normal, as normal as it can be
I love watching these videos. I try to share to people "bigots" that there is an entire world out there. Don't believe what you see in the propaganda machine the news stations. This is an amazing adventure I get to watch yall go on. I will never do this, but can experience it on youtube. Subscriber, commenter, and shared. Plus liked of course.
I left Iraq in 2005 now I live in MN. I’m so glad to see my country evolve, It’s a lot safer now. I’m thinking about visiting soon, welcome to Iraq guys.
Hi, You have a person from Basra living in the U.S watching this, post the next part!!!! Your videos in Iraq have been very enjoyable to watch.I always love watching the foreigner RU-vidrs videos of visits to Iraq because I missed out on growing up there because the 2003 war. I 've been to Iraq and remember quite a lot but its different from growing up there and the authentic experiences you guys always seek and the places you go to, are things I wish to try myself. Much Love, Good Luck. Also, I love how comfortable Polly is there haha, shes so adorable.
This is such a nice and informative video. You have shown light on a great country and her wonderful countrymen. It’s so sad people don’t take the trouble to get to know a new country and instead have preconceived notions. Both of you are beautiful human beings - both on the inside and on the outside. God bless!!
I just discovered your chanell. Great video, nice overnight train adventure. Travelling to countries most people would never see is incredible. I admire your sense of adventure and bravery for travelling into "the unknown"!
I am unfortunately iraqi citizenship by passport(which i hate the most), but i love the kindness of the people of that area in baghdad and other southern cities , they deserve a better life and may they see it one day !
If you are in Basra again please let me know. My wife and I would love to host you at our house and cook authentic Iraqi food for you. We both are enjoying your videos a lot and we appreciate your positivity and kindness.
U should have translated what the young man in yellow said, “ you’re Wellcome in iraq, feel at home, all homes in iraq are welcoming you.. Which is very much an Iraqi statement
I advise you, my brother, to work on translating into Arabic so that the Arab viewer can enjoy and understand more and also get followers from the Arabs.
@@user-wv4pr7cy6t lol maybe the target audience is not Arabs only so he does not "have" to. It's a free world my friend. Even your name is stupid no offence.
It is true, it is free, but I am on the side in order to gain more Arab followers, but as for my name, this is none of your business and there is also something about the meaning of the word lol
9:54 They are children always throwing stones at trains. They consider this part of the fun and adventure where they throw stones at the trains until the police catch them. They are crazy little ones 😂
That was an amazing adventure. My hat is off to you guys. I was born there but I have never gotten the gut to visit the city ever since my migration to North America.
@@alzuhiri1702 You know there have been a turmoil and catastrophic events in the country during the last few years. Now I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and most likely in the near future I will visit Baghdad, Basra and Karbala where Husein's shrine is located.
