I really wanted to see you put those red springs on ! 🤣 I got bloody the first set I did with the reds !! Great times for sure ! I’m tired a of beating up my hands !! Great video though!!
Haha yeah them red springs are tough aint they! I fought the first one and the second one went as planned haha! Glad you liked it brother hopefully it helped some new guys to the hobby!
On your XLT the metal rings that go onto the driveshafts when you’re putting your transmission case together how do you get off the Metal rings and put them on
Hey man maybe I can help you. I used needle nose pliers and found the gap between the ring and cvd cup. I pried the ring toward the middle and worked it gingerly around. Probably not correct but if you go slow it will work
I just put them on the cups and finessed them right on in. I do remember it taking a few tries before I got it aligned just right. Happy wrenching brother. Kyle thanks for helping a brother too!
Wow brother. It’s looks amazing! Really like those IRC shocks. They look awesome. The Baja you are building is way more impressive than mine, but do you recommend those shocks for all Baja’s or more for ones like the monster you are building?
Hey brother Tony I cant say I recommend these for all bajas but if you wanna spend the coin then sure these in my opinion are the very best shocks Ive worked with on the market today. As for a more affordable approach I would go for the KM VVC HPI copies because they are fantastic and do a superb job on the bajas when bled and tuned accordingly. Look how good my wasp handles. It just does not need these high dollar shocks. How ever these shocks I feel are worth every penny you spend on them. The realism and feel of these are unmatched!!
First and foremost thanks for all you do for the hobby. My question is I’m running a Taylor 65 supreme and it takes 1/2 throttle for the 5ive t to move any advice for better response
Hello brother first thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate that as I love to help people so on that note, the Taylor 65 is an animal. There could be three things going on. First your tune. Your tune could possible be so rich its killing power. Two your clutch may not be set correctly or three too tall of gear set which I highly doubt that because RCmax engines pull big gears real comfortably. So I would say it’s probably and most likely just your tune brother!! Tune is everything. To lean kills the engine literally and to rich makes it slow! There is a thin fine line for performance! Start with your low needle first and when its taking off and leaving hard then dial in your high needle. A trick …leave your low as fat as you can rich as possible then you can dial the high needle for that crispy clean no crackle sound. When done your idle should be a nice slow deep pop. If its idling fast and sounding like a weed eater its way to lean on the low and your smoke the engine fast! Its always safer to run a two smoker slightly rich Instead of slightly lean! I hope that helps brother! Make real small adjustments and make some passes and listen 👂 your ear is your best tuning tool! The sound of the engine will tell you exactly what it wants and where it want it! 🤝
@@eastsiderc Thanks for the great advice I have to figure out how to check clutch setting. I did the center diff over could gears not be connecting properly?
Hey you’re welcome and no if your gears were not meshing correct they would just break! Especially with all that torque. Now its possible they could be to tight but losi has the little gear mesh spacers that go in the bottom of the chassis to correctly set the mesh so the only way it would be to tight is if you did not use those spacers and the engine is to close to the center diff.
