Man brother, your MTXL is quite a show piece.🎨🖼 That chrome job is just fantastic 👍You had me when you said chrome fittins 🤣🤣and I saw a glimpse 👀 of that Turtle racing pull start. I have run into those fitment issues on gears and bells. I really get upset 😒sometimes because these parts are 💰and should fit without modifications but its not unusual for these RCs. Absolutely brother! I forgot to mention your beautiful MTXL! But you are right we gotta fit these things together sometimes with a little finessing here n there its just a part of the hobby!! Feels good to get it right though! The ole Turtle 🐢 Pull start with the turtle its always been a fave! The HEADER PIPE WILL SHOW BURNT COLOR AFTER RUNNING. ITS THE NICKLE THAT TURNS COLOR ! SEND IT BACK AND STRIP CHROME AND NICKLE DOWN TO METAL AND POLISH PIPE, COLOR BUFF,THEN PLATE ONLY CHROME !! THEN COLOR BUFF. YOU WON'T GET THAT "BURNT LOOK. !!!
Without the nickle the chrome dont shine and its best to run a bare pipe , any coating holds in heat , to make the most power zero finish is best. Im not running this truck any more its just a show piece so that pipe will never turn. I have other chrome pipes the headers dont turn on those either because I know how to tune. And those are junk chinese chrome jobs .To lean and to hot will blue and turn chrome fast.
