There is a mistake in the intro of this video. It mistakingly says Beara Peninsula, County Kerry and it should be Beara Peninsula, County Cork and Kerry.
This is the fourth road trip video in the series, taken during the covid-19 pandemic, on the 27th of July 2020. It is the second part of our Beara trip. Restrictions were partly suspended to allow for people in Ireland to go on staycations while travellers from other countries were not allowed in without a two-week quarantine. This meant quiet roads and towns. (We had actually never seen it this quiet in summertime.)
If possible, please watch at the highest 4K definition (2160p), for a better quality video experience, even when you don't have a 4K screen. 1440p also gives a good picture on bigger screens while 1080p and 720p will probably be fine on smaller screens. (Some devices won't let you go higher than 1080p).
The Beara peninsula is partly in County Cork and partly in County Kerry. In the intro of the video it mistakingly says "Beara Peninsula County Kerry". My apologies. I will change it at some stage but it is a lot of work, as I have to re-render the video and reupload it.
We’ll continue our trip in the direction of Eyeries. We’re driving through this beautiful town with its colourful houses, to continue on to Castletownbere. Then we make a short detour to Pulleen Harbour and from there on we continue our way to the Healy Pass. We cross the Healy Pass into County Kerry and that is where our video ends. The video is about 50 minutes long.
00:00 - intro
04:20 - Eyeries
07:05 - turning off for Castletownbere
14:50 - driving into Castletownbere
33:35 - arriving at Pulleen Harbour
36:55 - on our way to the Healy Pass
45:50 - arriving at the top of the Healy Pass
46:50 - continuing on into County Kerry

Yes, I know Eyeries is in Cork. That's why, if you read the introduction text under the video, you would have seen that I made a rectification and wrote that I made a mistake in the intro because I call it Beara peninsula County Kerry and it should be County Cork and Kerry, as a small part of the peninsula is in County Kerry. I can't do it in the video because I have to replace it and would lose the comments, etc.

That's a curious road choice... I prefer to drive the Beara peninsula clockwise. Caha Pass, Glenngarriff, Adrigole, Castletownbere (good place for lunch), Dursey Island and cable car, Allihies, Eyeries and back to Kenmare following the shore road. In your video, it seems you've missed the best places as Dursey and Allihies...

At the begining I'm reminded of this one time I went up to Connemara and later on noticed "Oh, my side view mirror is gone." I made a guess where it was, but I couldn't find it.

@@digitaldolf I watched the video again and I see that I made a mistake in the introduction in the video by calling it County Kerry. If I get a chance I will change that because it has to be County Cork and Kerry in this video. It would have been more helpful if you had pointed that out in a clearer way. I don't mind feedback. Everyone makes mistakes, but it took me a while now, to see that the mistake was in the intro. I put a rectifiation in the text with video 1 and 2 and will change it in the videos at some stage but that is a lot of work + I will have to re-render the videos and reupload the videos. Will have to look into that if I can do it without losing comments and likes. Beara is partly in Cork and partly in Kerry. If you read the blurb with the video, you will see that I talk about crossing the Healy Pass into County Kerry and if you look at the map, you will see that is correct. And I don't know what you mean by "arrive from nowhere", as I've been living in Ireland for the past 21 years.
