After watching this video again I was in this video a bunch of times I cant beleive that my producer put this video on youtube im so glad im going to thank him for that!!
Couldn't agree more. I've always been a big fan of the Elders, a group which does Irish folk, rock music out of Kansas City. I could listen all day too.
***** I am inclined to doubt it. You probably don't realise just how seriously Irish dancing is taken on an international competitive level in Central Europe these days. This would necessarily include attention to detail in cultural matters such as authenticity of costume. You will search Avalon's website and Facebook page in vain for any mention of a (British or) Irish name, though I would have the advantage over you there in being able to read Slovak from my knowledge of Czech and Polish. Nor is Avalon the only Slovak group of its kind with a significant presence on RU-vid. There is also the Connemara Irish dance group. A former Polish correspondent of mine told me about a friend of hers who spent considerable time in Dublin training as an Irish dancing instructor before returning to Poland to teach it.
that all looks like natural beauty: the ladies, the moves, the dance,... also the music. it´s has a harmony, that you may think of green valeys and green trees. very nice :)
used to do Irish dancing but had to give it up because the school only thought beginners and intermediates and i was advanced and the advanced school was too far away. i'm Irish but have never been to Ireland because of the cost of travel but mum promises she'll take me someday, i love the countryside and i hope that i will get the opportunity to take up the dancing again soon because i loved it
'm 82 years old, have been doing Irish dance since I was 4, and was brought up on the traditional. This is beautiful! Change means it's a living growing thing, not dead and static,
Anytime you see someone haveing fun doing something they enjoy it 's enjoyable old ,young and inbetween just look at their faces . Good video and good music A smile speaks a thousand words
I adore the dancing, but above all I love the dresses, the embroidery is stunning, and the panelling is so complimentary to these gorgeous talented girls! I don't know much about traditional Irish dance, but guys, if you can get away from the black on black, you will look less like props.
The melody is great i like it very much. And the Irish dance is very heavy for the feet. I just have to say that that dancer's are awesome. Great job.. Super
Beautiful!!!! The dance is great and the girls are so sweet... First time I saw Irish dancing was on the 1900 Bob Geldof video The great song of indifference, and I loved it since.
I danced on the first song on stage in a restaurant in Dublin. They asked for public who wanted to join in one dance. It's great, but so exhausting. Great respect for the dancers.
Your right it's perfection . Lots of hard work and dedication to the dance Great video ! i've watched and listend to it 100 times good dance and great music.Look at their faces nothing but smiles .I hope they're that happy all their lives Good job!
Compliments!! I adore this dance and this kind of music!!Looking at this video I have the confirmation, I love Ireland and the Irish people!! Be magnificent!!
Glorious channeling of the life force into something profoundly positive and beautiful! Uplifting before the work day and AFTER a hard day's work as well!
I so love the Irish dances. My nationality is I'm part Danish, part Irish and very little Russian myself. My top favorite is always Irish Dances and Celtic music. Love it big times!

lol. I googled avalon-dance and apparently the group is from Slovakia. It doesn't matter though. It is still Irish dance and is absolutely fabulous. These people are amazing.
No matter what, their dance will always amaze me :D In my country, we are lucky that one irish group come every 3 years to do a performance! And it's always a plaisure ^^ Their songs & music are just GREAT !!! Thanks for the share ^^
This video inspired me to start Irish Dancing. I only started last year, and now I am in pre-open. Whenever I feel like I am a bad dancer or not good enough, I always just come back to this video for continuous inspiration.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I love Irish step dancing. I can't listen without wanting to to dance myself, even if I don't know how. It's completely beyond my comprehension how anyone can listen to this and not want to dance to it.
I cannot describe how this dancing breaks my f**king heart, it is so soul inspiring. For all that we hold holy, please do not stop performing this art!
Great music!! Beautifull girls!!! When I listen this song, I think about medieval castles and kings. This music has something antique in it. It gives you a feeling of joy. :)
I have no credentials to judge these people. All I know is I loved it right away. Would anyone who knows the name of the tune / music stop arguing long enough to tell me? I want to try it on a banjo. Thanks.
The first tune is from the song "Siamsa", the latter from "Dance Above the Rainbow", both by Ronan Hardiman, who composed the music for the Irish dance shows "Lord of the Dance" and "Feet of Flames". :)
i was soft shoe for a year with my dance studio. we ahd one dance teacher who only taught irish. i took it for a year. i wish in my own dance and then a dance where i was needed as an extra.
Je suis en admiration devant les danseuses irlandaises car elles sont incomparables ! Mes plus chaleureuses félicitations ! je vous mets dans mes favoris ! Odette
I love Irish dancing I want to learn Irish dancing bc I like their dancing and also bc I have Irish in me. I also love the Irish music it is beautiful.
they are going to have perfomance on our faculty party which is going to be held on 5th of December in Bratislava, im looking forward I really love irish dance !!!
It is at about 1.50 that the tune changes from 'Siamsa" to "Dance above the rainbow". Both tunes have three distinct sections, only one each of which is used here. The Connemara Irish dance group is also based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
