@Jordan DeBow bonjou, komen ça va zami? Yes it’s a overall Creole word all of Louisiana uses it. Folks in New Orleans don’t really even speak Creole or Louisiana French you have to go outside of there to hear it spoken. It’s anglicized as hell there. Of course you’ll run into some people but it’s few and far between. Creole/Kouri Vini isn’t a region specific thing nor race specific thing even yt people speak Creole in Louisiana yts weren’t even considered “Cajun” until the 60s everyone born in Louisiana used to be considered Creole. Now a days in some cases people, meaning everyone, speak Louisiana French and Creole. Two different things same base of French tho. In Kouri Vini everything comes down to spelling there’s some pronunciation differences between Louisiana French and KV but not many. Buku/booku/bokou etc. is the same meaning as « beaucoup » in French. Lmaaaao sorry about my Ted talk just giving you or anyone passing by a slither of context of being from Louisiana.

Neil ! I’m Jamaican and I can see similarities between the dialects. Some Irish say one two TREE and BATROOM instead of bathroom, just like us. The way we speak is quite similar. When someone who isn’t Jamaican tries to speak like one they often sound somewhat Irish.

I don’t know where you found these two ‘irish’ people from. They have the weirdest accents Ive ever heard and they are certainly not irish accents.

They should do this but they should do it back and forth like. New Orleans and Dublin slang. That way they can go back and forth and everybody learns something.
