After hearing about an American trend called 'Booze Donuts' we got the Facts baker, Gary, to make a number of donuts using different alcoholic drinks. The donuts were marinated in the drink during the baking process and it was also in the glazing and the fillings.

we make booze donuts at home. We just get a dozen donuts from the store, and soak them in liquor and bake them so they aren't soggy any more. Works out great.

Joshua Stovall ...I've never known anyone to hate peanut butter (we eat it with a spoon, each have our own jars, often as a late night, movie snack), and there seem to be so many Facts people who really, really don't like it. Is it not something that's common in Ireland? It does have a lot of sugar, and it seems, in general, UK and European sweets are not that sweet by American standards, could that be why there's hatred for the peanut butter? Btw....I just like the way Anne and Laura say peanut butter. They're just adorable.

To be fair, I've seen it in quite a few non-Facts vids in which Europeans blanch at the prospect of having to eat peanut butter. But I think it's as simple as this: they don't really have any tradition of growing peanuts in Europe. It's a little like wondering why most Americans don't like haggis, although I'd contend PB flavor is a little more universal regarding something that a person would like. The thing I find more interesting is how - even among those who do like peanut butter - most of them view combining it with jam/jelly as some sort of affront to God. :)

Ah, very interesting! Excellent points! Gotta have it with jam if you're having a sandwich. Although, my all time favorite sandwich is peanut butter and bacon. My grandpa got me hooked when I was little. Apparently it was a Depression favorite. That, and jam in his coffee because there was a shortage of sugar. Creativity from necessity. :)
