'Tis a great day...but would love to see Teeling's 24 match up with a similar aged single malt Highland or perhaps a Island malt such as Highland Park. But all in all, this was a terrific shoot and enjoyed it so much. Remember, an open bottle of whiskey is an invitation to friends.

couldn't agree more, I would go with Balvenie 25, however single malt (any kind) with any age statement more than 20 years would be hard to get and way too expensive, and as far as I know they already have the blue label and Teeling as a gift

I enjoy Irish, Scotch and Bourbon, it all just depends on the mood I am in, I usually sip on whiskey on weekend evenings while reading, and often will base what i am drinking on what I am reading, like if reading fantasy like Tolkien it will usually be an Irish or Scotch

Pro tip, ignore the color because they could be adding e150 caramel coloring… you won’t have that problem with Bourbon though as it’s illegal to add anything to!

Scotch only means that it is whisky made in Scotland. There's a lot of different flavor profiles available but Scotch whisky has no definitive taste of it's own. Bourbon on the other hand has a recognizable taste from the minimum of 51% corn used in the mash bill.

Alone the regions are so different. You can usually only compare Irish blend with lowland blends. Unpeated Irish pot stills or single malts maybe with Speyside.
