Let me know what the education system is like in your country!!💕💕

So We Have First Period Specials (Gym , Art , Tech , Spanish) Math First Even Though ELA is our homeroom (Our Schedule Changed I guess Then we have Science till 11:30 Then We Go For Our Break Aka Recess Then From Recess We Transition To Lunch From Lunch We Go To Social Studies Then Last We Have ELA Till 2:45 Then Schools Out Its a pretty good education System But i think that our teachers should be more strict on us even though were young it would be nice for the Teachers to give that extra push. Y'Know?

Here in Peru🇵🇪we spend 8 hours at school, we have like 13 subjects (courses of math, physical education, courses of lenguage, sciences and full English). Something that is similar to Spain is that the teachers are friendly with us. we also have a lot of presentations and final exams each 2 months. And finally, YES, we have to use the frking uniform every single day.
@nyanpie1

Damn, in the US you need at least a 60-65% to pass we have 4 core subjects (math, english, science, history) at my school we have 4 classes a day that are over an hour and a half each and an hour long lunch break between 2nd and 3rd some classes are only 9 weeks long, others are year-long, but most are 1 semester (~18 weeks) no uniforms, but our dress code doesn't let us wear shorts (which is bullshit, it gets over 100 degrees F (~40 C) where I live) or jeans with holes above the knee or tank tops or anything. we can choose some classes, but we need some to graduate and we can only have like 8 we also only have 2 languages (german 1 and 2 and Spanish 1-4) and you can't start language until high school you can only get early dismissal if you aren't in band, chior, or a sport (which is most of the school) I'm about to be a senior (last year of high school) and I can't wait to graduate

I went to school in Belgium and Holland In Holland 🇳🇱 you get more freedom (such as using your phone leaving campus) ,you can drop certain subjects except for the main ones, teachers are friendly and there's like this big iq-test once a year In Belgium 🇧🇪 there are more rules, you get scolded a lot, the teachers suck and you have 2 exams every year worth 30% and 50% for your last two years of highschool I prefer Holland 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱

Lenks i‘m from Germany and my School system is almost identical to the Spanish one. But school starts at 7:50 am and ends at 12:40 pm. I personally speaking like the German system really much and I like the fact that we have a classroom and a class we‘re always in and always with the same people. But I‘m gonna go on an exchange program to the usa and that’s probably gonna be a huge change for me....

same in italy, exept the teachers, with some of we are even kinda close, but obviously there's always someone that is kinda annoying, but they are not that bad. but the school system in general sucks. we study always the same things everytime u change from primary school (6-10 y/o), secondary school of 1st grade(11-13y/o) and then secondary of 2nd grade (14-18 y/o). like its literally the 3rd time i'm studying romans. we can't choose subjects. if u fail only 1 subject, u have to repeat the WHOLE year, FOR 1 FUCKING SUBJECT.
@jennygoa1815

In Greece is the same the breaks are 5-10 min and 45min lessons schools are like prison here! We have so much homework we do 7 different subjects every day and we have like 1 hour homework in each lesson😪 and after school we do extra lessons because teachers don't teach us anything (most of them) and they just give us homework If you fail one subject you repeat the grade. Most of the professors are rude! They think that we are robots and we can do all that in one day like I only have some free time at the weekend which is like 5 hours. The students are so rude they don't support each other it's like a competition they just trying to have a better grade than anyone and they could do anything for that. Schools are small no cafeterias and stuff(except if you go to private school which is very expensive and there are not many) I HATE SCHOOL I CAN'T WAIT TO GRADUATE

Hi, just wanted to clear out that the education system in Spain varies a lot from place to place, every autonomous comunity has autonomy over certain things, like education, so even though there are country guidelines the system changes a lot depending on where you are, and also depends on the certain school you are at, things change a lot from public to private school. Things like school uniforms, the time you get in and out of school, the amount of subjects you can choose from, having a lot of presentations, group work and stuff really varies.

I’m from Galicia and I go to a public school, so we don’t have to wear uniform and you can literally wear whatever you want (without dress code). Our schedule is basically the same, we have 3 classes (50min each one), one break (30 min) and another 3 classes (50 min each one again). We start at 9:00 and end at 14:30 everyday, but Tuesdays we have class at afternoon too, so after going home at 14:30 we come back at 16:30 to have two classes (50 min each one) and end at 18:10. Our relationship with teachers is usually really close, as you describe it, tho it obviously depends on the teacher, but I wouldn’t say that we have many presentations... one for trimester in each subject approximately (it depends on the teacher as well). About moving in each class... it really depends on your subjects. In my case I have 3 subjects that are not in my class, but I have friends that have to move in almost every class. That’s how it is in my high school, but guess in each one it’s different, even if you are in the same autonomous community

In the US we have a sorta mixture of the two with the ways we do stuff, we start at 8:30 am and end at 3:40 everyday. In those days we have 8 periods but only 7 classes, one of those periods is your lunch period, each class on a normal day is about 55 minutes but our classes are in different rooms and you can take whatever you want like in Ireland, there are block days two days a week but that’s a lot more to explain so I’ll just leave that out. Our grades are based on percentages, but to pass a class you have to get a 70% or higher. Our overall final grades are calculated a bit different though. Throughout the year you take sumatives(tests/big projects) and formatives(quizzes/small projects) these affect your grade and then at the end of the first semester you take a midterm which tests you on everything you learned in the first half of the year(these are commonly double sumatives) and then again at the end of the year you take a final, in an non EOC class these are double sumatives, in an EOC class they are just a sumative. An EOC(end of course assessment) is taken in some classes in high school and it a standardized test by the state that is a sumative grade. However this isn’t in all schools but in my high school if at the end of the year you have an A in the class(90% of higher) then you don’t have to take the final. There’s also more I could talk about with AP testing and that stuff but I’ll leave that out. I hope this wasn’t too confusing and was useful to some people.

yup and the best part is that even though people in Spain study so hard and live under so much pressure in order to get a good job and a good salary, probably in the end a huge amount of them Will have to move to other countries like Ireland because the reality is that there's no work here, unless of course you decideto work in the summer as a waiter, recepcionist...but again you won't have work after that and if you do get a job related to what you studied you won't be paid fairly

In Germany my school starts at 7:45 a.m and ends at 1:05 p.m. We have a different schedule everyday and at most 5 classes a day normally 3 to 4 classes a day. Usually there are either two classes for 45 minutes or one class for 90 minutes and in between usually a 5 min break. After the first two lessons there's a 15 minute break and then there are going to be the next classes then break then the last classes for the day and then schools over. My school used to have after school activities as obligation but now you can choose if you want to or not.

Thanks, I randomly got here and it was surprisingly interesting. You are quite good at speaking clearly and to the point, unlike most 'vloggers' your age you can see on RU-vid ;) When you're saying you have 3 subjects and then one break, you mean there are still some breaks between subjects, right? I'm from Ukraine. Here and in Russia we have the same structure of the educational process. Kids at high school have around 6-8 subjects a day, 45 min each, usually 6 days a week. There are 10 min breaks between each subject and one 20 min break after the second or the third subject. School starts at 8, ends at about 14:30. Primary, middle and high schools are at the same building, usually, primary school is on the first floor of the building or separated somehow, and there is almost no separation between middle and high school. There is definitely a distance between students and teachers, like in Ireland. But of course, it could differ with different teachers - some might prefer to have close relationships with their students. At primary and middle school, your class has its own room, and teachers walk from class to class. But the older you get, the more specific classrooms you have to attend, like chemistry class, physics class, vocal class, etc. In high school, it's probably about half of all your classes. There are usually 2-4 routes, highly depending on school. Typical options are: maths, physics and IT; biology and chemistry; languages and literature. But around 60-70% of classes would be mandatory and the same for all routes. Like in maths class you would have 8 maths a week, instead of 3, and in medicine class you would have 6 biologies instead of 2 general for all. Otherwise, it's quite similar to the Irish system: rare presentations, more individual work, only final exams matters.

In Sweden we have different classes everyday and we start and end at different times everyday. Instead of having like 3 classes, break, 3 classes, break, 3 classes etc we have eg on mondays maybe 3 classes in total with small breaks in between + lunch break, and on tuesdays we have 6 classes and end a lot later. Basically we have a weekly schedule instead of having 1 schedule we follow everyday. Also we dont wear any uniforms at all and we dont have any dress codes. We dont take finals at the end of each year, instead we get graded on the projects, tests etc we've done during the semester. In grades 1-9 everyone in the whole country takes the same subjects and gets the same exact amount of hours for each subject, but when we start high school (grade 10-12) our system is more like the spanish system, we choose between different "routes" that all include different subjects, though we have quite many different routes you can choose between and when you are choosing you are also choosing between if you want to be able to go to uni afterwards or if you want to go straight into working life. Also same as in Spain, the students are quite close to their teachers, but of course it depends on who the teacher is and some teachers students likes more and some less. We also switch between classrooms and do not stay in the same classroom the whole day.

lmao Italian schools: 6 hours with 2 breaks of only 15 minutes, you can't leave school, we have no prom, no lockers and no choices of subject unless you go to a really fancy, expensive school, you don't change classes ever, you always stay with the same people, teachers most of the time are shit unless you're really lucky, we start at 8 and end at 14 and omg... let's not talk about how not clean the school is. never go to the bathroom in Italian public school. it's still fun tho.

I'm from Spain, and (about subjects) it depends when and where you went. For example, in fourth grade of secondary school, like you said, there are only two options, but for example, in my old school, the ones who chose the business route had to choose economics and biology, and if you wanted to go to the "letters" (idk how it's called in english), you would usually have to pick economics and latin, but we couldn't bc they told us that "there wouldn't be enough people to choose latin", so they basically made us choose biology. This year however, I moved to another (private) school and we have the option to choose latin, but we have to take economics plus another weird subject that it's basically the same thing, but the one who go to the business route can't choose latin, they have to choose maths. The thing here is that I have a friend who's in a public highschool and she doesn't have economics, instead she has greek. Also, my mom has a friend whose daughter is in the same year that I am and in her school they don't have latin, you need to have maths, even if you don't want to or need to. So yeah, here things are weird.

In my school (spain) we start at 8:15 we have 3 subjects (50 minutes each) then a 20 minutes break, then 2 subjects, after that 1 break (20 mins) and finally other subject except some days that we have 7th period that is 1subject more after the last hour. We finish at 14:20!!! I love that system because as we have 2 breaks we can rest a little bit. We don't wear uniform but we're ful of exams and presentations and as you said relationships with teachers are so good (depending on the teacher and the student)

We go to school on Monday-Saturday (Saturday is a study day ;( it starts at 8am) Every lesson is in another classroom. We have most of the finals at the end of the study year (it begins in September and finishes in May). Russian students don’t choose the subject( we learn literally everything. Also we have only 4 marks. 2 is failure, 3 - ok, 4-good, 5-excellent. So I can say that education system here is a bit strange and difficult. Hope it was interesting cause as I know you’re russian)

about changing classmates and classrooms, it's depends on the school and level. My high-school it's so small that there are only 2 groups of 2nd of Bachillerato (the last year). That means there are people with many different subjects. Students of the same group (A or B) only have 4 subjects in common (English, History, Spanish and Philosophy) , and 6 with different people and at different places

Hello, first of all I want to say that I like your channel. I really like this video in particular as I had a similar experience. I studied in Spain, England and USA. I can say in Spain teachers are more approachable and warm. Otherwise, in England are more cold and tend to keep distance. In United States is a mix of both. As far as presentations, United States we have more presentations and essays than England and Spain. Grading wise as you commented in Spain you need 5 to pass or 50%, England it's 4 or 40% and United States it's 70% to pass with a C. once again I really like your channel, I would love to see more different topics between Ireland and Spain.
