were all your songs in the 7's and now in standard tuning? or if you used different ones cn you tell me which tuning please?

Hi Andrew, all the old songs recorded from 1970-74 were recorded in standard tuning, however in those days there were no electronic guitar tuners, so our reference point would be a harmonica, (or very occasionally a studio piano) so tuning was by ear! Over a day's recording tuning would tend to "drift" against the original reference point, but as long as the guitars were in tune with each other we would just record! Consequently, when you hear a recording now, it may not equate to the accuracy of a modern tuner! Also, recordings were made to reel to reel tape and over the years tape playback speeds may have fluctuated. (Again, reel to reel isn't as accurate as digital technology, playback speed variations can alter pitch)
