So I literally live across the highway from The Air-force Academy in Colorado Springs. Sometimes I ride my road bike into the academy and shout out, “Chaaaaaaaaaaaapppppieeeeeeeeeeee!”
You think Doug and his friends are uncool? They are all licensed pilots at 18 years old, with their own planes. And their clubhouse is in a disused Air Force Bunker.
😂 all of those cool factors are bc of their parents jobs. It’s like being able to drive at 12 and having an abandoned mechanic shop bc your dad owned a jiffy lube.
The actor who played Reggie (Larry B. Scott) was in 3 of my favorite movies 1) A Hero Ain't Nothin' But a Sandwich 2) Revenge Of The Nerds 3) Fear Of a Black Hat
Guys the way RU-vid is I doubt RU-vid will let y’all be as authentic as you want. I kid you not RU-vidrs bleep out words like rape, sex assault, sex, curse words and other stuff. I kid you not I heard at least 2 separate RU-vidrs says “someone off-ed” themselves” bc RU-vid wouldn’t let them said suicide 🤣😭😭 we’ll still do our best to promote tho
As a former fighter pilot in the Tomcat we didn’t that we only wish lol also only officers fly and this movie was trying beat Top Gun in 86 ( which is a better movie!)
Boy you guys are haters, I saw this movie in the theatres and I really enjoyed it, and the Queen song made the experience amazing. Oh and by the way I was an officer in the US Army at the time and I watched it as an experience not to take seriously, but has just good fun. It was also a little silly 2 hour escape from the very serious job I was doing in the military at the time. It was 1986, Ronald Reagan was president with the perspective and world view of that time if you were in the military. The thing with reaction reviews of past art, reactors can never go back in history of see something from the eyes of a young person of that time, so inevitably they experience it from their current world view and perspectives. To be a young person, in my case a 22 year old in 1986 is totally different from being a young person in 2024. Top Gun also in 1986 was literally a military recruiting poster, Naval and Airforce flight schools had record applications. Iron Eagle was just silly popcorn fun, and Platoon also in 1986 was painful reality. I watched all three, enjoyed all three but understood the meaning of all three. It was great being a young person in the 80's.
It’s slightly ironic that you didn’t take Iron Eagle too seriously but come at us, a comedy show, bc we didn’t take it seriously enough. They’re all jokes here, pal. Nobody is taking away from your favorite movies. We just don’t take them seriously.
@@KisstheReviews I'm not a pal, but a veteran, a former soldier and officer, i really don't have to take you seriously either. If you can't handle a dissenting opinion , that's interesting!
You commented on my comedy channel, I did not seek you out for your opinion. You started your comment by calling us haters…but WE cant handle dissenting opinions? For an officer and veteran you are thin skinned over a fictional movie you had no involvement in making. You come at us differently, this would have gone differently. You come with attitude, we gonna eat…regardless of who you are.
Have you guys ever seen another Jason Gedrick movie from the 80s entitled "The Heavenly Kid"? It is such a piece of crap, you guys should review that one!!!
It’s a movie of it’s time, like Red Dawn. Pro Ronald Reagan, pro military, pro USA, and very anti-Middle East (the country is supposed to be Iran since Iran Contra was happening at the time). I loved this movie as a kid and I still think it’s a fun watch…completely unrealistic, in every way. But compared to part 3 and 4 in this series, this is Pulp Fiction or The Godfather part 2. David Suchet was also the main villain in Executive Decision with Kurt Russell. Also the soundtrack is fantastic 80’s fun! Queen, King Kobra, Dio, George Clinton, Spencer Davis Group and Twisted Sister.
Iron Eagle is a remarkable terrible movie because Doug that couldn’t get in the Air Force is able to fly a Fighter Jet, also other issues including Doug isn’t sent to Prison after breaking multiple laws because this is a terrible written movie, etc.
@@KisstheReviews Jail and Prison aren’t the same thing the same as a University while similar to a College isn’t the same thing. Jail is short term incarceration, Prison is long term incarceration.
