My TD3 does this too. I'll delete the pattern, but the accents, slides and transposes stay.

What's your definition of a real mixer? I am using an A&H Zed10 and I also have a Behringerr Xenyx X1622USB. So far, I haven't used gain to purposely create clipping, though. It just did not come into my mind.

They're all realising that the 303 "master"class" is more just a demonstration and explanation of the cons of using a vintage, highly sort after 40 year old battery powered box of plastic, the $1000's of mods he's had to invested in to synch and modernise it, how he'd ruled out ever even owning one himself if it weren't for a stumbling across one by chance that needed to be repaired, and the reality is hitting them that they're all attending a masterclass for something they'll never gat their hands on. Little did they know, 4 years later, Behringer would be selling clones almost identical to the genuine unit, are class compliant and and din midi for $220. They Probably should have payed more attenion.... That said, id feel a little ripped off too. It was less about the 303 and more about sync latency issues and expensive mods and sync boxes that was likely incomprehensible gibberish to them. No wonder nobody asked any questions at the end.... I liked how he only mentioned a few minutes before he finished he didn't think he'd ever own a 303 until only recently before holding a 303 masterclass. Red bull academy are normally a little better at why they invite to speak...

Not entirely true Kilian. Acid House was the late 80's sound you're referring to, but the use of the 303 permeated through most forms of electronic music since the inception of its use. Through the 90's you definitely see it used heavily in techno (acid techno becoming a genre of its own) and even in tracks from breakbeat hardcore/rave even jungle of the time, not just house and techno. So it's very much a cyclical sound, for which acid house/techno seem to have a revival period more frequently than you'd think - thankfully it is getting more attention again these days, and why not, it's a great sound (and by that, I mean not just what the 303 can do, but also the feel and atmosphere that is distinctly Acid) that seems to benefit from advances in production tools over time.

I'm sure someone will do something differently than Phuture, Hardfloor, and Plastikman. Jeff Mills must have been dead wrong to sell his 303 in the early 90s.
