Respect to everything Bruce said. Bruce didn’t want to lose the roots of his European band. America loves to polish and commercialize artists. That being said, America is a huge bonus. If you can’t sell records in America than you’re not going to be popular worldwide. The Beatles began that trend in the 60’s.

America was the birthplace of rock n roll it's true the English made it a lot better I do agee alot with Bruce the Beatles chanced everything when they came here to the us and many other English bands followed the dress the hair Beatle boots and us bands did the same I did.love the beatles.for many years.since I was eight I loved iron.maiden.for.over thirty years and I still do and I always will they are a fantastic band I have many of there albums up the irons!!! iron maiden forever🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸

@CabanaGuy I meant in comparison to the amount of gigs they do elsewhere. If they can do like, 25+ USA gigs, surely they can do more than just one like we've had for the past 2 tours now.

@KWACKnockedShrimp British rock is definitely the best. They got the beatles, judas priest, Led Zeppelin, Queen, iron maidn, etc. but american does have some good bands too, like Metallica, Journey, and Van halen and bands like that.
Pink Floyd, Bowie, Roger Waters, early Genesis, Mike Oldfield, The Police, The Kinks, Sabbath, The Fall, The Jam, The Smiths, The Clash, Joy Division, early Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, early Dire Straits, The Cure, Madness, King Crimson, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Pulp and Jarvis' solo work. Rory Gallagher, Brian Eno, Manic Street Preachers, The Stranglers....we got some creative people here in Britain. America has a vast amount of greatness too. America has given us...Faith No More, Mike Patton, Nirvana, Talking Heads, David Byrne, Pixies, The Doors, R.E.M, Chris Cornell, Mr Bungle, Mark Lanegan, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Morphine, Chilli Peppers, Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Simon and Garfunkel, some cool cats....I love music. :P

@KWACKnockedShrimp and in europe there's something that isn't fair: british bands get the spotlight and other european bands get underrated.....i agree with you on the american situation but in europe nowadays....it's messed up
@KWACKnockedShrimp I'd agree (Maiden, Priest, Sabbath!!), but hell, come on! Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, etc became the pinnacle of heavy metal, and there are quite a few more examples besides. Love the Euro metal bands (Destruction!) but don't sell America short - we've got some excellent metal bands from here.

@KWACKnockedShrimp England had the top FEW BEST bands, but America has arguably produced larger numbers of good bands, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith, Foghat, Styx, Kiss, Fleetwood Mac(though half british they were undeniably better with Buckingham and Nicks who were American). America has produced a lot of great rock and metal. I agree with Bruce on a lot, but not here. They are both equal.

American bands hate Maiden?lol Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Exodus and more have all expressed appreciation for Iron Maiden. Bruce says nothing here regarding America having bad taste in music. You seem to have taken his point the wrong way. My friends and I are American and we love British music. I don't see what the point is in being ethnically devisive. And Maiden get radio-play where I live btw :)
Sorry,I didn't really mean that. I was just pissed off because I consider the day I saw Maiden live the best day of my life. ( I listen to these guys religiously.) It's no surprise it got me in a bad mood when I read that Maiden has no reason to come to the U.S.
