as a 56 year old... grew up listening to Iron Maiden, met Bruce once... it's so refreshing to look at their aging faces and feel the passion that they still all feel and play.
more importantly he sings from the core which puts much less stress on the vocal cords. Many rock stars sing from the throat and their singing voice is gone by 50 at the latest.
@@aitorarrastia well yeah, I think he learnt a bit from his failures in the 80s,and even more... The 2 albums in the 90s. But then he maintained his voice quite well, despite the cancer episode. He sounds much better compared to book of souls
It's scary to think about how bands like Maiden are the last among the legends. With death and retirement, we've lost Dio, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Rush, Van Halen, Motorhead etc.
Steve Harris looks like powerslave Eddie these days, but what passion and energy. I get sade when i think of them retiring. Bruce sounds amazing compared to anyone at the age of 64. Just insane
Damn .. They got OLD .. Noticed Dave's finger don't nearly move at the blur they used to . I know .. we are all getting old . It's hard for me at times to imagine , That it was 41 years ago that I saw Maiden " Killer's " open for Priest .. . How many back then would have thought these guys would be still at it . That was a million years away at the time . Time flies
Probaly was 8 or 9 years old and I won an iron maiden poster at a carnival game. Put it up on the wall and next morning swear it called my name took it down, but never in heart ...*Rock On* Legends!
@@paulgoodwin3642 I don't hate Jannick, but it's something about the original leads Adrian played 30-40 years ago when I was a kid that are light years better than his.
@@paulgoodwin3642 I don’t hate Janick, but he really shouldn’t play a single solo, that once was Adrian’s. Simply because Janick’s versions are so fcking awful compared to the originals!
Did anyone noticed one thing?…… joy of doing stuff they love ….. That is what drives Them to do things like that on this video :) Jesus beeing a part of Maiden family makes me just happy :D Those guys are from diffrent planet :D seriously to hell with ppl telling only Di’Anno 2 albums are true Maiden. Every former Maiden put something to that basket and all were doing great stuff :)
Definitely better than 30-35 years ago (seventh son to Fear of the Dark era). But 20 years ago I think was his peak, from 1997-2010 was his prime IMO. He’s still rocking though!!
@@thewildbruce5612 I can confidently say he sang significantly better live from 1994-2010 than in the 80’s (maybe except for Number of the Beast tour). Listen to any version of Aces High or Run to the Hills in the 80’s. He didn’t hit the notes live, whereas in the late 90’s and 2000’s he did it superbly EVERY time.
@@eduleal Same, don't know what the other guy is hearing. Bruce sings better in Rock in Rio '01 and Flight 666 than in Live After Death which is straight yelling. By a mile
When basically the last 40 years of your life was doing this...you may get older but you will always have the energy to do it. That is until some very unfortunate event happens, and at their age it could happen whenever. Steve is really looking old along with Dave.
Maiden are my life . However, just looking at them now on stage and how much older they are looking just makes me feel sad because I know it means eventually they will retire. 😟😥
