From somewhere in time. One of their best albums and special to me. When I was going to the record store to buy it back in the day I found their last copy. I grabbed it just before another person was about to grab it. When i looked at her I saw such dissapointment in her eyes so I gave her the copy. Since that day i saw her everyday. We were never apart. Spent so much time on festivals and concerts. we saw them all more or less. The great bands. The last Iron maiden song she heard was Heaven can wait. But she is there now and I miss her. Thanks for this. Great memories.

@@rofl0rblades You and me both man. I have so many great memories coupled with Maiden solos. The Dance Of Death solo is another one that is so awesome just like Stranger in a strange land. I mean just that album alone has Caught somewhere in time, Wasted years, Sea of madness and Alexander the great. All of them with amazing solos Something magical happens when Adrian Smith and Dave Murray play together, and it is enhanced with Janick Gers playing rhythm when they are playing live

Bruce Dickinson is one of the great storytellers. Even though he is singing over a metal band you can hear every word and his face tells the story. Iron Maiden are really like a modern day opera with the musical and vocals working together to create an ambience to fit the story. Unmatched in my honest opinion.

7:04 Steve Harris (bassist) is the song writer and lyricist in the majority of Maiden's music, the other band members talk about how he whistles the music so they can get an idea of how they go (the songs)

Very much enjoy your Maiden reactions. Brings those of us way older than you back to the concert days in the 80s when these guys set the bar so high by the end of the decade. In case not mentioned already, this was the album recording performed in front of a live audience at a sound stage in the UK. Not something Maiden liked to do but agreed to it for this single. But as you can see, they made a strong effort to mask it and give the feel of a live performance. Played live very infrequently.
